Changing Apple ID - Currently sharing one, but need to split into two
My wife and I currently share the same Apple ID; however, she has her iPhone synced with the iTunes on her laptop and I have my iPhone synced with my iTunes on my separate laptop. The problem, of course, is that if we both use the cloud, all our info gets shared/synced together, which we don't want to do.
Is there a way for her to keep her current ID (so she doesn't have to change anything), but for me to change mine and keep access to all my apps, music, etc., in my iTunes library and on my iPhone? My understanding (which may be incorrect), is that if I change my Apple ID associated with my iPhone and iTunes (and all associated apps, music, etc.), that I may not get access to those any longer. Also, if I change the Apple ID associated with my iPhone/iTunes, I still want my wife to keep the same one we've been using.
Any tips or solutions appreciated? Apologies if this has been covered many times in the past.
I've been reading for hours & am only more confused. I hope someone can help me sort it all out!
First, I have a new iPhone 5s & new SIM card. I backed up my iPhone 4s & restored the info on the 5s.
My husband lost his iPhone & is taking over my iPhone 4s. He was sent a new SIM card.
I do not know how to set up the 4s phone for him & need advice!
Correct me if this is wrong, but we can have the same Apple ID--this will enable him access to all music & apps purchases? On the iphone 4s I changed to his email address & left my Apple ID for itunes & apps. When I tried to change the iCloud ID, it would not take it. Also when I tried to change the iMessage ID a message came up that if I deleted mine, I would not be able to receive iMessages on any device & I also have an iPad).
Would someone please tell me, in simple terms, the best way to set up my iPhone 4S so that my husband can have his own Mail, contacts, messages, etc & still be able to have access to my apps?.
I greatly appreciate any help I can get!

My laptop has crashed and I'm in between getting a new one but need to update my iOS on my iPad, is there anyway of doing this without a laptop or computer?
If you can't update via wifi, you can use a friend's computer, or an Apple store will do it for you.
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

i currently have wireless, but i am looking into this to maybe have faster wireless. if this is hooked up, will the existing wireless/ethernet to pcs still function without changing them to use the airport express?
let me fix this a bit. i currently have dsl and a 2wire wireless router, and i currently do not have one or a mac. im getting one for when i start college and this is a must if it will improve my internet. but i now connect wirelessly to the 2wire router. if this is set up, will the current 2wire wireless still be useable?

I have a iMac and want to know if I can add an additional hynix memory to it? It currently has one with an open slot next two it.
You can install up to 6 GBs of RAM. You have two RAM slots so you could max out the machine by installing one 2 GB module and one 4 GB module. The largest supported module is 4 GBs, but you could use only one. Best memory performance would be attained by installing two 2 GB modules to provide 4 GBs of RAM. Installing two matching modules implements dual-channel memory that will provide a small increase in memory speed.
Sorry for my memory: Good places for RAM are OWC and DataMem. You do not have to use Hynix RAM. Any RAM will be fine as long as it meets the computer's requirements which are outlined in the section of your use manual for adding memory. -
Can one large pdf be split into a packaged pdf?
can one large pdf be split into a package without having to extract pages then merged back together?
i have been scanning documents and some have been over 400 pages.
i have been creating seperate pdf's for each appendix/section then merging them into a packaged pdf to find each appendix easier.
but it is a bit time consuming to look at the 400+ pages then removing each appendix.
so i was wonder if it is possible to just find where all the appendixes start and have them put into package without need to extract each appendix one at a time.Graffiti:

I have no idea what kind of shortcut key or preference I changed.
When I select any video on any premiere timeline to "edit in audition" i end up with the audio getting split into two wav files instead of one, as the red rectangular shows. Instead of the single audio track to edit in which you can see in the blue rectangular.

Update: did some testing around in premiere, this issue only happens with clips that are on a timeline, but if I "edit in audition" from "project" (main folder with all material), I can edit it properly.Its one file with two different dispalys.

Depends on what you want to change the ID for. To change the ID...
To change the ID:
For iMessage, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID sign out, sign back in using the other ID.
For FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
For Purchasing, do this in Settings>iTunes & App Stores.
For iCloud, you'll have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Before deleting the account, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll. Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. -
One idoc that needs to split into three messages

I get an idoc from sap through change pointers. The IDOC needs to be mapped via a mapping program which splits into three different messages.
Let me know how to achieve it.
Some notable info are that the the three messages have different flat structures.

Separating one iTunes account and content into two
My partner and I are going through a divorce but we have shared the same iTunes account for the past 12 years. How do we separate our music library into two separate accounts so we can each have a portion of the library?
Any music purchased after about 2009 can be played on any computer with the file on it. That's the easy part. Oh, I don't know if syncing present problems but I'm guessing it won't since people often have multiple Store accounts and shared music on family computers.
Movies require the computer be authorized to the account used to purchase the content. This is where you will have to come to an agreement not to change the password or de-authorize each other's computers for that account (there could be a scenario where this is done unintenionally but it shouldn't normally arise unless you have lots and lots of computers).
One tip is to make sure you always have all content present on a local drive. Do not put yourself in a position to ever need to re-download media from the Store. I am presuming you will have your own account after this and the main problem people seem to have with using multiple Store accounts on a computer is being prevented from changing accconts more than once every 90 days for the purpose of re-downloading. Otherwise families often have multiple AppleID users on a single computer with shared media.
You may have to ease up on doing anything such as using iTunes Match or iCloud downloads with this particular account, but we're talking trying to rescue what you can. -
How to split one modbus serial output port into two?

Current Situation
My company has a instrument measuring emission in flue gas. The instrument has only one serial port for "modbus" output. The serial port is being used to sending the data collected by the instrument to our DCS.
My Question
I have a separate data acquisition computer which is also able to collect data over serial modbus. Is it possible to split the existing serial modbus output port into two so that both the DCS and my data acqusition computer can collect data from the instrument at the same time? If yes, what software and hardware do I need? One more point, high reliability is required for both data collection processes - to the DCS and to the data acquisition computer.

RogerWhat serial protocol are you using? RS-232 or RS-485?
If it is 485, then it is a multidrop bus, so you can just hook up both receivers to the transmitter via a RS-485 hub. If it uses the 232 protocol, then this would not work as only one device can receive data at any given time, so you could set one node up to repeat the signal to the second hub or use LabVIEW Shared Variables.

I have data that looks like the below where I need to split a value into multiple rows if it should be but the same field in the table may also contain a string that should not be separated (indicated by the "Array" field being 0 or 1)...

The only database at hand right now is Oracle 10.2, which doesn't have REGEXP_COUNT. I had to use a complicated way of counting how many times '", "' occurs in str in order to test this in Oracle 10. Since you have Oracle 11, you can un-comment the line that uses REGEXP_COUNT in the first CASE expression, and remove the alternate ELSE clause (that is, the next 5 lines, up to END).
To make sure that this query is really paying attention to array, I added this row to the sample data:

All files in itunes Podcast directory but split into two podcasts in iTunes

I have all my "Great Podcast" podcasts in "Great Podcast" folder in the iTunes directory.
Then, in iTunes, when I add to library it splits them into two podcast folders entitled "Great Podcast"
There are no duplicates in each. newer ones are in the folder that has the Get More or Subscribe button. The Older ones are in a basic folder that doesn't allow to subscribe.
I changed the IDtags to 2.3 as the newer folder are all 2.3 so I figured thats the answer. It didn't work.
I'm really confused about whats going on, I just want them all in one folder in iTunes.

I am splitting above selection into two SELECTs as follows.

Splitting is done to avoid the use of OR condition in the first select. Currently it is not choosing any index though we have an index with fields /bic/zopbel, clr_doc_no and comp_code is available.
Pls help me to confirm following things:
1. Both the original and splitted SELECTS are same?
2. Above splitting and indexing will improve performance?
3. Do we have any other option to improve the perofrmance of original SELECT without splitting it?

No, you must append the records of the second select and apply sort and DELETE ADJACENT
DUPLICATES only then they are the same.
2. Above splitting and indexing will improve performance?
Definitely, it is the missing index which is responsible for the low performance.
You should also check whether gt_revsed_docs has already duplicates.
3. Do we have any other option to improve the perofrmance of original SELECT without splitting it?
No, the split is not really a problem, because the FAE is anyway porcessed in blocks.
There is a further improvement possible, depending on your two conditions
A : /bic/zopbel = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel2
B : clr_doc_no = gt_revsed_docs-/bic/zstbel
You want A or B
That is A and B , not A and B, A and not B
You select A and B twice, without split and with split. If this a largest part, then you should split
in three and save a lot of time.
