Changing appleworks document to send by email to a PC

I did my resume on Appleworks. I have tried all the possible options from the "save as" pull down bar before sending it by email as an attachment to a PC. However, in each case, my resume never looks the same when viewed on the PC end- the spacing, words, etc. is always misplaced to some extent. I have tried HTML, text, word Mac 6 document, word Mac 98 , 2001 document, RTF, Word Windows 97, 2000 XP, 2002 all to no avail. What can I do?

Does Appleworks allow for saving the document as a PDF file? This should ensure the document formatting remains as intended or at least worth a try.
If not, you should be able to save the document as a PDF file via the Print function. File > Print and when the printer selection appears, select the PDF button and at the menu window that appears, select Save as PDF.

What happens to versions when a document is send by email?

Does a pages-document (or any other file-type supporting versions) contain its versions, when send by email?

No. Think of versions as a mini-copy of TimeMachine for each of your programs. Each time you save a new copy is made behind the scenes and hidden away while the most recent saved copy is kept in your Documents folder or where ever you saved it. Neither you nor anyone else will know about all the other versions unless you select the Revert to Saved command which brings up a TimeMachine like window for that document.

I haven't tried this, but thanks for bringing this up. I get sick of the template having the error case structure around it so I was going to go in and modify some things, but now I think I'll wait...

Change appleworks documents to open office

How do I easily(I hope) change AW documents to OpenOffice documents? When I change the "Open with" option in the "Get Info" pane, I get a doc. with nothing but "gobbledegook".

OpenOffice cannot open AppleWorks files. Other than AppleWorks itself the situation is this:
•Word Processing documents can be opened directly only in Pages (AppleWorks 6 only).
•Draw Documents can be opened directly only in EazyDraw (the more expensive version from their website, not the cheaper one from the Mac App Store, and you will need v4.0 'Retro' not the most recent version) or Intaglio (though this appears not to be able to handle very complex drawings).
•Spreadsheets can be opened directly only in Numbers.
•Presentations can be opened directly only in Keynote.
To use other programs, or open Painting or Database documents at all, you must export from AppleWorks first.

When sending an email and I add a name to the "To" box or CC/BCC box which I later decided I don't want to include, Mail ignores the instruction to "remove" that name so that once the email has been sent, the name is still included and the email goes to them anyway. Pretty frustrating and I don't understand why this is happening.

You would really have to ask the app developer if there is a way to export the data.
As for adding a printer, you would need to purchase an AirPrint compatible printer and connect it to your wireless network.

Using the new Pages 5. Why do I need to compress a document when sending by email?

I have just started using Pages 5 and apart from the fact that unless other users have updated to the new version they cannot open the document. First time this has happened with me using Apple software. Happened all the time with windows. Why do pages documents need to be compressed when sending them by email? They also end up being larger than the original document.

What are you using to save as a pdf? Reader doesn't have anything to do with creating the pdf. If you are simply using the "Save As>PDF in Word then yes, it's a Microsoft issue. No Adobe product is involved in that part. Adobe Reader is only seeing what is created.
But, when you say it's being cut off do you mean it's cutting it off in the pdf itself or is it all visible in the pdf but is being cut off when you print?

Mail -> Preferences -> Accounts -> Account Information -> Password. Tho' if it has been working in the past and suddenly you're getting this message without you having changed anything in your settings then it may be a problem at the server end. If that's the case then leave it a few hours and try again. If the problem persists after 24 hours then try changing your settings.

Send Workflow email to User SAP Inbox with a Popup and cproject link

Hi,
I am working SAP portfolio and project management workflow.
Requirement: Trigger workflow when Portfolio Execution Decision Point status changes,
We have to send two email notifications as part of the requirement;
First notification should go to user’s (Only one user) SAP Inbox, Containing two links
Popup link (It will contain list of question which the user has to confirm) if he
confirms we have to send second email notification. (Pop-up layout is attached)
Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject to upload the documents. (NWBC)
The second notification should go to Outlook of the users (via group email) with Link for the user to navigate to SAP PPM cProject.
We can trigger the workflow using event DECISION_POINT_STATUS_CHG in Class CL_RPM_DECISION. My question is how should design the pop-up and incorporate the Pop-up and cproject link in first notification email sent to user SAP Inbox.
Please let me know if you need more details.

We use transaction NWBC to login to netweaver business client. Then from there we navigate to Project management view and double click to select the project. It opens project element --> Collaborations tab. There we select the folder link. (screenshot attached)
Regarding addition of multiline container element (Table) let's say 'A'; I create multiline container element A in Workflow element list, Populated element A using a utility class/method assigned to a background task.
Then, I created a user decision task, inside the task container another multiline container element 'B' with same type and I did binding b/w workflow container element 'A' and task container element 'B'.
Now, I am passing &B& in the decision task description. If I execute the workflow, The user decision task description is blank.
Secondly, I did not get any pop-up asking how to display it (all lines with line break).
PS: My internal table also has only one field.
Am I doing something wrong here?

Workflow changes - send reminder email on X - 1 days ... based on Molga

       I new to workflow and I came across a workflow scenario where I am confuse, that what should I do in order to make it work. Luckily we are running only one workflow in the system which is time off request, We copied standard workflow class u201CCL_PT_REQ_WF_ATTRIBSu201D to Z version and introduced some new method to send email to employees managers as well as employee and HR .
We also have something called workflow item cancel thing . Lets say if workflow is not approved by manger within X bossiness days it got cancel and employee has to submit the new time off request again. After doing a little bit research I came to know that there is standard job which checks and calculate the X days thing. Work flow is running fine from last 1 year.
Last week, we been asked to create reminder from X-1 day and sends to employee manager saying u201C This is a reminder and one day is left u201C .
   I wanted to know how I can achieve that, I have to filter the employee by reading employeeu2019s molga as we want to do it for specific countries then I have to read employee manager which I can do using different FM and then I have to send email to employee's manager .
Like I said It should happen BEFORE x-1 business days when employee submits the time off u2026

        I think I am following you so for .. so here what I did ... I opened the "approve process" and slap in the same refer date/time in "Requested end date " with variables "&WFDATA.DEADLINEDATE&" "&WFDATA.DEADLINETIME&" with 1- DAY . I didnu2019t find this what it says in help " It is possible to specify a negative time interval. Negative time   intervals should only be used in connection with an expression as a   reference date/time. You then have the option of "backward deadlines"
Any way after that I changed action to "modeled" and say "outcome "reminder from UK " .
it creates a node with clock sign , now like you said , I can do many things here .. and I really need to do something for example , I need to check the employee if he/she is from UK , after that reads his/her manager and send an email to mangeru2019s outbox . Iu2019m able to write code in existing method , being on the safe side I copied the existing workflow and made changes in to it . It is showing me the old task "w90000012" which is original one and I copied it and my task is "w90000022" . What I have to do so when I submit time off request via ESS it calls my task . I found the table for ESS leave request and able to see my task , Table name is "u2022     V_T554S_WEB"

"Send for Email Review": How do you add reviewers to initial "blank slate" document after comments from other reviewers have been merged?

I'm editing a bulletin and have used the "Send for email review" feature to get reviewers to edit. I've already merged some of their edits back into the initial document. Only now have I realized I forgot a reviewer on the initial email request to review. Is there any way to add this reviewer to the initial document, without her having to see all the merged comments? Essentially, I want her to have a clean slate of the bulletin to edit just like all of the other reviewers. I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.

In Conversation view when in Outlook you should have a triangle (to the left of the conversation group) you can click on to expand the conversion, this then shows a nested list of all the message and paper clips for the ones that have attachments.
Click on the View tab, and click on the Reset View button, this should return the view to the default and you should see the little triangles to the left of the conversations in the list of messages. You can then use those to toggle the summary of
all the messages in the conversation open and closed.
If that still does not work, you might think about just using your Gmail account in the Chrome browser, this way you get a lot of the gmail features, plus you can do that from any PC, not just the one with your Outlook installed. Just a thought for
you, or you can repair Outlook.
Repair Outlook 2010
Open up the Control Panel on your PC (and show All Control Panel items, if necessary) and click on Programs and Features.
Find Office 2010 in the list and highlight it.
Click Change.
Select Repair and Continue then follow the prompts
After the repair is finished, reboot.
Hopefully one of those takes care of it for you.
