  • Changing Audio Language in Netflix (Latin America)

    Hi all,
I´m having issues with Netflix in Latin America from an Apple TV. Many movies have three languages (spanish, english and portuguese) and depending the availabitty it starts by default in spanish. I prefer english but i can´t find the way to change the audio language, I´ve found out how to change subtitules but I can´t find the way to change audio language.
I alredy tried changing the defalut audio options on the Apple Tv general seetings but that haven´t changed a thing. It seems to be a limitation on iOS devices cause I´m also experiencing the same thing on my iPhone 4.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mauro

  • Possible to override the remotes "change audio" button?

I'm creating a DVD that has multiple audio tracks for a single video track. I'm also programming in subtitles for the same track(French). The two audio tracks have different versions of dialogue. So, that means that I need two subtitle tracks – one for each audio. I understand how I can use stories and scripts to associate the proper subtitle track with the corresponding audio track,
    BUT
my problem is this: it is necessary to allow the user to switch back and forth between the audio tracks whenever they want. So, if a French user is watching with subtitles on, and switches the audio using their remote mid-stream, then I need a way to change the subtitles to match the now-active audio.
The best way I can think of to do this would be to hi-jack the functionality of the "change audio" button on the remote, and make it run a script that changes audio, then checks subtitle settings and changes them as well, if appropriate.
Can this be done in DVDSP? I've found promising entries in the advanced connections display, but they don't respond to my initial attempts.
    Thanks for any help.
    Patrick

Hey. Thanks. I hit a ton of pages searching, but missed that thread post. It's exactly the same problem. I suppose my only hope is, fingers-crossed, more DVD players support the targeted scripting of remote buttons these days???
Well. I noticed there were several other programs mentioned in that thread, which I'm going to look up now, but it seems that this is a "supported by DVD players" problem rather than a "my program can't do that" problem.
Something occurs to me. Is this a problem that could be circumvented by going to Blu-ray? DVD SP has a lot of buzz about supporting Blu-ray projects, would Blu-ray players be more likely to support this remote-based scripting???

  • Changing audio output device for currently running program

I'm not sure where to put this question, but all my searching hasn't seemed to find an answer...
If I have a program running, iTunes, VLC, a game, whatever, and want to change audio output from say Line Out to Headphones, I have to restart the program for the change to take effect. Is this by design/normal or am I missing something somewhere?

this is actually a quiet significant issue. There is no way in Flash to select the audio output device.
Today  people have regular speakers and a separate headset. They all use the  speakers for music and the headset for voice. Skype i.e. has the option  to choose audio output device and its really handy, because
you dont  have to bother to set the default device to the headset everytime you  want to use it.
If you set the default device to the headset all other apps will send their audio  output to the headset - which is not what you want either.
So people  really want to leave the default device set to the speakers and not to  the headset.
    Nokia did this for Java
JRT 2.1 / Nokia UI API updated to version 1.4:
AudioOutputControl extension for controlling which audio output device, for example the device loudspeaker or earpiece, is used to play back audio
    This really is an issue.

  • Changing audio driver

When I hooked up a USB mic and clicked on the name of the mic in System Pref, it said: "Do you really want to change audio driver?" What does this mean? Do I have to change audi drivers for both input and output? Do have to change settings when I am done using the mic and go back to using USB 49e keyboard?

    Hello,
Is the icon under all programs in the start screen a Beats Logo or the sound icon as well?
How I put mine on is went to start screen then all programs
Then right clicked on Beats Audio and choose pin to desktop.

  • Is it possible to edit/change audio files in a published html5 file?

Is it possible to edit/change audio files in a published html5 file?

Theoretically, YES, but they would need to be in exactly the same format and have the same filename.  Why would you be wanting to do this?  If the new files are not the same playing length, this could potentially throw out any synchronisation with other elements in the presentation.

  • Garageband Quits Every Time I Change Audio Input/Output

Hi. I own a Plantronics headset that came with MacSpeech Dictate when I bought that software a few years ago. It shows up on my Mac as a C-Media USB Audio device.
I'm trying to use it with Garageband. So, in Garageband, I've gone into Preferences and the Audio/MIDI section.
When I choose the C-Media USB Audo device as either "Audio Input" or "Audio Output" (I want to use the headset for both), Garageband asks if I want to "Change audio driver" and I then click yes. Then Garageband has a status bar saying "Initializing audio driver." Then, before it finishes initializing, Garageband quits. This happens every single time.
So, I'm not sure what to do. I don't even understand why Garageband is looking for a driver when my headset is a USB device that works with all programs -- it's not a MIDI keyboard.
Sometimes, after I restart Garagband after the quit, I see that it has changed the device. But this happens more frequently for the Audio Output Device. For instance, the C-Media device is now selected for Audio Output. But I keep selecting it for Audio Input as well and Garageband keeps quitting and when I restart it, the Audio Input device hasn't changed and still says Built-in Microphone.
I can't imagine I'm the only one who's had this problem. If anyone knows the solution, I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks!
    M

Thanks for the reply. it got me halfway there. Now it will open for the audio side, but still crashes as soon as I switch to Midi.
There were no Midi configs in my library, but there's a folder full of them in the main Library. Most of the files in there I don't care about, but there are several that I don't want to lose. Should i trash the folder and then re-install the ones I want?

  • No video after changing audio settings

  • How to change audio/video speed

    Hi,
I'm trying to change audio/video playback speed, so I could
play it faster, but I haven't find any solution.
It has to be changed dynamicaly - there is no possibilty of
    making normal, fast playing file.
    Thank you
    LN

If you convert the video into an SWF and embed it playing
through the frames, you should be able to "skip" frames or pause
between frames through flex to increase/decrease playback speed
    through the MovieClip.gotoAndStop method.
Not sure this would work or not. Just a thought.
    Happy coding.

  • BUG: Speed Change + Audio Transition = No Audio-Video Sync

BUG: Speed Change + Audio Transition = No Audio-Video Sync
If you change the speed of clips (125%) and make an audio transition between them (power), the audio runs out of sync. The longer the transition, the more out of sync.

  • Create speech audio in Spanish

I am using the Captivate 6 English Version but would like to gereate the audio in Spanish. I have installed the additional resources but still generates the audio based on an English person trying to speak Spanish. Not sure where to set-up that audio should be generated in spanish (the text provided is in spanish). Thanks!

No other languages are coming with CP6, just English voices. Very sorry, you'll have to look (buy) elsewhere for TTS voices.

  • Is there a quick way to change audio hardware output?

    Hello,
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface hooked up to my Windows 8 machine. I use it to record vocals in a sound booth. The sound booth is closed off from access to the computer, so I monitor my recordings throught the headphones connected to the Scarlett.
The problem I have is when I edit my files, I want to use my speakers connected to my computer. That is easy enough, I can go to the Audio Hardware settings in Audition and change the ouput from the Scarlett to the speaker output on my computer, but now I have no audio going to the headphones connected to the Scarlett should I need to make a quick re-record. I can output to the speakers directly from the Scarlett but the maximum volume is ridiculously quiet, which means I have to really crank the speakers volume high but if I get any audio through my PC, such as an e-mail alert or an alert sound (which the monitor speakers are also connected to) the volume is super loud.
I was wondering if any one knew of a way I can add a shortcut to the main Audition interface to easily switch between audio output sources?
Or even better would be to have dual audio output sources, so I can monitor on both the Scarlett headphone output and my Speakers attached to my PC.
I hope that makes sense and I would really appreciate any help.
    Thank you
    Mendoza

    Hey, thanks for the ideas.
Yes, I am using Balanced TRS 1/4" connectors from the Focusrite, straight into the speakers. I also tried a pair of unballanced TRS cables and a pair of TRS to XLR connectors just in case it was the connection type causing a problem.
I would rather not use an amplifier between the Focusrite and the speakers. Unfortunately the Focusrite Scarlett is renowned for it's ridiculously low monitor output level, but adding a volume booster like an amp in the middle just seems to be boosting an unecessarily low signal, as can be seen on many forums. Really, the volume from the Focusrite monitor output should not be so low in the 1st place. Even when I connect my iPhone through it's line out connection to my speakers the volume is louder. I thought it was a defective Focusrite unit, so I replaced it but it wasn't, as the replacmenet was the same. However, the recording quality and the mic preamps are superb in the Focusrite, So I really like its recording capability.
The most frustrating thing is that the volume level coming out of my PC (I connect through the SPDIF output to a Cambridge DACmagic DAC and output via RCA interconnects to the speakers) is perfect. Nice, loud and crystal clear. I would much prefer to use this output to the monitor speakers, but then I have no sound to my headphones when I am in the booth. I don't want to connect my headphones to the PC as it is far away and there really is no need as the volume level and latency to the headphones is perfect through the Focusrite, I just need an easy way to either switch output sources in Audition or a way to output playback to both I think.
Thanks again for your help so far.

  • Changing Audio "Speed"

I have a 35 minute video segment in Quicktime DV format. When I play the clip in quicktime, everything aligns flawlessly. However, once I import the clip into the FCP timeline sequence, the audio runs about 2 seconds behind the video by the end of the segment. FIRST, can anyone shed some light on what might be misaligning the audio and video? and SECONDLY, I have separated the audio from the video and am trying to figure out a way to change the rate or speed of the audio playback to sync it at the beginning and end to see if I can manually realign the audio and video.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

What happens when you convert the file to DV-NTSC? The audio should be 48khz/16bit.
DV stream is not a native FCP editing format and is the source of all sorts of issues.

  • Changing audio output of media bin preview

I am trying to preview loops and listen to them in my headphones (Output 13-14 of my MOTU 828) and for some reason, the audio always plays out of my speakers (Outputs 1-2). Is there a way to change the audio assignment? I know I'm missing something very easy here....

Look for the prelisten channel (256 or 128) in the environment or in the Mixer with view set to "All" and assign outputs 13-14 to it.
