Changing billing country

I recently changed country associated with my itunes account. My music has stayed on my iphone but I am outraged to discover that when moving country and you change your bank details that your previous movie purchases seem to disappear. Is this correct? If so thats disgusting. I purposely bought movies on apple TV so that when I move I dont have to move dvds etc. Anyone know the answer?

Hi Justin in prague,
If you are having issues with your purchased content since moving to another country, you can contact the iTunes Store:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore purchase
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
I hope this information helps ....
Have a great day!

i want to change my billing country but cannot because I used a gift card and  : "you have a store credit balance; you must spend your balance before you can change stores".  Now, I already TRIED to zero my balance, but got to such a small amount I could not find anything at that value.  How can I zero my acount, or transfer the credit?

  • Unable to change billing Country

I am trying to create a brand new subscription (first one for Live account) and I am currently visiting the UK.  My Live account is Singapore based with Singapore being the defined country.  When i logged into azure to setup an azure account it
pre-populates my information from my live id.  What i didn't notice was that the Country was set to UK and NOT Singapore.  Once i verified my phone number (my singapore phone number) I realised and wasn't able to use my Singapore CC in the billing
form.  I am also unable to go back and change this.
Can you please help me change the country of my account in Azure to Singapore so that i can buy some subscriptions.  I am unable to create a live account and i am not happy that your system doesn't allow end users to modify their country.

You can only change your country/region if you do not have an active subscription and you have never purchased a paid subscription. see
    https://datamarket.azure.com/help-account-country-region
When you create a New Azure subscription, you should be able to choose the country within the setup.
I would recommend that you raise a Free Billing support ticket if you want to try and change an existing one
    cheers

  • TS3988 can't change billing country?

    Hey there,
I'm a log time customer and would like to change my credit card, but it doesn't allow me to put in the right address for the account which is another country
    why??
what am I supposed to do??
    thanks

I am getting exactly the same problem, and I cannot change the country because when I try to either I get an error message or it does absolutely nothing, just the usual loading icon but nothing else. From my iphone, I get the same "no-effect" result after pressing the "change-country" button.

Did you actually watch the movie? You get 30 days in which to view it and if you didn't watch it, that could be why you are getting that message. If you have watched the movie and you're sure that is has expired by now, contact iTunes Store Support and seek their help.
Change the country in the upper left. - and click on Purchases, billing and redemption to proceed.

I moved to another country and would like to change the billing country for the credit card. It doesn't allow me to switch the country only street etc.. Do I have to create a new account separately for a new country?

Nope. You can only have one credit card attached to an account at a time. Its not that big of a deal to use two accounts, users do this all the time. Create the second account(UK Account) in iTunes on your computer...sign out of your Italian account first. Then authorize your computer for this new account: Store>Authorize this computer. Then sync your phone. Now, to switch accounts on your phone: Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in with the ID you want to use.

  • Changing payment info in account - new credit card and new billing country

    Hello,
My iTunes account is set to Italy as that is the billing country of the credit card I associated with it when I started the account. Yet, I know live in Belgium and have a credit card with billing address in Belgium. I have tried to update the information but:
I cannot change the payment information from the payment information options since the address and credit card settings are set on Italy (if I try to simply type my new credit card number, I get an error message that says that the credit card number I entered is not valid for Italy)
I cannot change the Country/Region setting. The message I get is "you have an active iTunes Match subscription; you must cancel it before you can change stores".
So, does it boil down to cancelling the iTunes Match subscription? If so, how do I do it (there is no option in iTunes itself to do that)? Also, I have 4 good months left on my iTunes Match subscription - will I be credited those months back if I cancel and then re-subscribe?
Last but not least: I read some really dreadful posts from 2011 on how people who had changed billing information had lost access to their apps and were charged anew for music they had bought with the previous credit card. Has this issue been solved?
    Thanks for your help!
    Caterina

You have to physically be in that country as well as have a credit card (or  iTunes gift card) both of which have to have been purchased or have a billing address in the country of that iTunes store.

  • Changing billing info country

I've just moved from Australia to England and I have a new credit card so I want to change my billing address. However the only selections coming up are United States and Australia.
Any idea how to do this or do I have to make a new Apple ID?

The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE

  • HT1918 Hello , I will like to change my payment information but my new credit card is not American , Is Canadian .How can i change the country on my billing info? I cant seam to be able to do it . Thanks a lot for your help ,

    Hello ,
I will like to change my payment information but my new credit card is not American , Is Canadian .How can i change the country on my billing info? I cant seam to be able to do it .
Thanks a lot for your help ,

What country are you in ? If you are in the US then you can only use the US iTune store, and you can't use a Canadian credit card with the US store - a credit card needs to have been issued by a bank in the country where you are.
If you are in Canada then remove your old credit card from your account and then update your country/region and billing address on your account e.g. by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your phone and 'view Apple id' on the popup, or via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes

  • Can't change my iTunes billing country

    Hi there,
I recently changed my billing address for my credit card from a Canadian address to a US address. As a result, iTunes requires me to update my billing info before I download anything from the Store. I've gone to my account info and click on "Change Country or Region." I then select "United States" from the list and click "Change." Then a dialogue window pops up and says "Your credit card could not be authorised" and brings me back to the Billing page, where my country is automatically set as Canada and can't be changed.
It seems like iTunes is stuck in a loop. How do I go about changing my country if, before I can do so, iTunes brings me back to the Billing page?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this issue?
I know I sound like a baby, but it really stinks not being able to use the iTunes/App store! I had to buy an "E-book" from Google and it hurt so bad. Would love to find a solution...

I have moved from south africa to the US and need to change all my billing details - I'm unable to change the country of residence part?

Did you click the "change country or region" link in your account information in the iTunes Store? If not, you need to do that to change your country. Note that you will need a valid US credit card or US iTunes card to enter as payment method.
    Regards.

  • How to change billing to another country

I am trying to update my billing to a differnt country. I have recently moved from the states to Canada, can anyone help me please?

There are some instructions on this page for changing the country on an account : Change the country of your iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account
I'm not sure if you need to remove your payment method from your account first (if you currently have a US issued credit card on your account then you won't be able to use it, credit cards can only be used in their country of issue), if you do then there are instructions on this page : Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
