Word Crashes after changing the style of 'Bullets'

Hi,
I hope someone can help me this problem. The problem occurs when I use Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac.
Word crashes when I go into the Formatting Palette > Bullets and Numbering and then try to change the style of the bullet. I noticed that in the drop down box of bullet styles there are two or three blanks spaces rather than an actual bullet. Then when I move the mouse over the blank entries in order to click on an actual bullet style, Word crashes.
Should I uninstall Word and then reinstall it? Or is there a much simpler way of fixing the problem?
I have only had my MacBook for 10 days and I am already having so many problems with Microsoft Word.

Set user defined bullet Style

Dear All,
In our project we are using BulltedList in TLF. We have requirement to change the bullet style. Is there any way to change the bullet style by using an fxg . I am trying to create the List amrker formet by using the following code sniplet
                                   var lnkelement:ListElement = childElement as ListElement;
                                           var lstMarkerFormat:ListMarkerFormat = ListMarkerFormat.createListMarkerFormat(new bulletblue());
                                              lnkelement.listMarkerFormat = lstMarkerFormat;
In the above code the new bulletblue() is my fxg graphic , but it does't have any effect.
Any help would be highely appreceated.

TLF does not provide direct interface to replace list marker with your custom one till now.
You can set style of marker as ListStyleType.NONE, and then take advantage of some formats in flashx.textLayout.formats.ListMarkerFormat to make it.

Configure Numbered and Bulleted Styles in CSS

I have searched and read a lot of postings re:Numbered and Bulleted styles/lists in the CSS setup and still have no clue how this was changed in the most recent build of RoboHelp HTML or the correct way to apply and get to work.
In X5 of RoboHelp HTML, I had a CSS style sheet with 5 paragraph styles with bullets. I did not create a list - I simply bulleted the style. When I apply one of these styles to a paragraph it adds a bullet.
I upgraded to RoboHelp HTML X8.0.2.208 and my bulleted styles are a total mess. The styles are still in the CSS, but when applied there is no bullet - it adds a number (then I have to click the Bullet icon button on the toolbar to apply a bullet). I have tried to find release notes or some documentation explaining the change and can find none. I have reviewed Peter Grange's site information about lists and multilevel lists, but see no reason why I cannot just apply a bullet directly on a style without using the list or multilevel list.
I guess the issue may be my stupidity on the configuration and use of lists and multilevel lists. Is there any documentation from Adobe that outlines the change that occurred as of this most recent build? I am looking for an explanation of how a list corresponds to a style and how to get the style to work correctly. Ironically, the online help has been no help at all.

OK - sorry have not posted my solution and it works for me...
This is what I did to create a single level bulleted style using bulleted list:
(1) Create a MultiLevel List Style called BulletedList
I have only defined Level 1 of the MultiLevel List
For that Level 1 - I DID NOT specify a Paragraph Style
For that Level 1 - I selected List Style of DISC
For that Level 1 - I defined the Edit Style as <x>
Saved this MultiLevel List style with a name of BulletedList
(2) Created a Paragraph Style called NBullet
Font is set to Arial 10pt
Spacing/After is set to 6pt
From Indents line - clicked the AutoNumber icon button
This opens the List for Autonumbering dialog and I set the following:
Checked the box for Inherit Numbering Property from Multilevel List
Selected BulletedList from the List Class drop down
Selected List Level as "1"
Clicked OK to apply and return to Paragraph Style Setup dialog
On Paragraph Style Setup dialog clicked the Format drop down button
Selected Paragraph formatting
Defined Left Indentation of .5in
Defined Special Indentation of Hanging .25in
(3) Clicked OK to save the Paragraph style called NBullet
When I look at the drop down list of styles within a topic, the style name appears as "1 NBullet". Don't let the "1" fool you - when I apply that style the "disc" bullet is applied and NOT a number (it just displays a number in the style name for some reason that escapes me).
I now have my bulleted style back and it works fine.
NOTE: I do not like to reformat anything, so I set up an NBullet (Spacing After set to 6pt), NBulletSpace (Spacing After set to 12pt) and NBulletLast (Spacing After set to 18pt).
I also set up "bullet continuation" paragraph styles so I can lead with a bulleted line of text and then follow with "additional information" paragraph that aligns to the text in the bulleted lead paragraph line - that paragraph style is NBulletContinue defined with NO autonumber setup and the Format/Paragraph set to Indent/Left .75in (which aligns the text to the text of the bulleted paragraph).
I set up the same paradigm of NBulletContinue, NBulletContinueSpace and NBulletContinueLast.

Aside from the Style name appearing in the Style list when working in a topic as "1 NBullet", "1 NBulletSpace" and "1 NBulletLast" the formatting works and looks great (and note - the style name when I go into CSS formatting does not have the leading "1").
Also note, if I use the Increase Indent option when working in a topic on the NBullet styled paragraph, the Level 2 bullet list format is applied. I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER use the Increase or Decrease Indent functionality (either in Word or RoboHTML).
All of my CSS styles match the naming convention used in my Word template - making it easier to push content back and forth between Word and RoboHTML.

My approach may be non-standard and may not be within the spirit of this functionality, but it works for me and I get the formatting I need.
One last note on the comment of the "sluggishness of the product" for x8 - I had the same problem and then I applied the two patches that were made available. The difference in the response time was VERY noticeable in a GOOD way. Search for and apply both fixes to RoboHTML x8 and you will see a pronounced difference. I also got my boss to approve ordering a new PC and now there is not sluggishness at all in the performance.

Hi,
Goto Transaction smartform.
Place radio button on style, then give style name and
create it.
In paragraph format right click and create node.
Give some name it wil create a node.
Double click on that node than u can
change your style by using font tab.
You can create any number of node.
Save and activate.
Then in your smartform->form attributes->output options
Give your style name.
Then place the cursor on the text to be modified and
select your style from paragraph format.

You can't change the canvas at runtime. But you can put the scrollbar on a stacked canvas and then show or hide that stacked canvas on different canvases.

Yes, I knew how can I change the style using cell factory. there is a lot of work to do if it has so many columns in table view. we need to implement every cell factory, Do we have a simple way to change the whole row style , just like fabsav said, I 'd like to set the special row like this line:

How do you change different styles to some texts in a paragraph. Please help! Pics included!

I am trying to code the text "About Us Learn more about us!" which I surrounded it with a paragraph and then tried to change the styles of it but it doesn't work. I'm also trying to figure out how to shorten the distance between the paragraph from top to bottom. Any help or suggestion?
I'm trying to make it like this with the red text font size 15 and the black text font size 12, The red text will be hyperlinked to the page it belong to. The black is more like a description about the link.

The first thing I would recommend is that you move all of your CSS styles to a separate document that you then link to your HTML.Once you've done this, add text styling classes to the CSS file to cover all of the "looks" that you envision. For example, you might code all text within a tag to be a uniform:

These words begin my paragraph with emphasis while these words get general emphasis. These words will get some emphasis, but not as much as the text 1 class. These words would receive lesser emphasis than the default text identified with the "p" tag styling.

The Button Touch was replaced by the 'Slide' in subsequent Firmware update..as the possibility of accidentally unlocking is much higher...

Changing a style in xss depending on the facet

Is it possible to change a style in the xss depending on the facet?
I want to change in my UIX application the prompt style of the messageTextInput components - not the contentStyle - for example underline the prompts. But I want this to happen only if facet==printable.
Can I change this once in an xss and apply it to the whole application? I know I should change the OraPromptsomething (I've found the correct one, I just don't have its name here) - but I don't know how to change it depending on the facet

So I suppose it is not possible?

Changing Multilist Styles causes RH not to Compile

I am using Robohelp 8 HTML. After changing the style of the Multilevel list by clicking the Increase space between list prefix and paragraph text twice for each of the 9 levels, I could not complie correctly. I got the 512 byte warning but no fatal errors. When the compilation was completed, I clicked View Result and got nothing. The .chm file could not be opened. I dont like the look of the default multi level list format with the text wrapping under the number and want to fix it. I can fix it in my topics but once I go to compile, the .chm can not be opened...please help!

didn't see until this morning, I now retract nearly all of my
previous post.
It happened that kadov cleanup was coded late in the RH 7
development cycle. I was looking at topics in a project that I had
started in RH 6, then opened in a test version of RH 7 that was not
the final release. Even though I started fresh, with a new project
in the final RH 7 release, and imported those topics from the old
RH 7 project, they had been tainted, apparently. I apologize for
this false alarm.
I think my old .css stylesheet was an unnecessary
complication. I plan to create a new one in RH 7 to match those
styles.
Another oddity that still clouds the picture:
When you import topics from an RH 6 project, the RH 7 view of
html source shows no evidence of kadov tags.
However, even after you save and close the new RH 7 project,
Notepad and FAR find kadov tags lurking about until you make a
change and save the topic in RH 7.
I understand you can edit and restore text in RH 7 before
saving, and kadovs will be gone in Notepad and FAR, as well as from
RH html view.
RH 7 does better if you open the old project directly, rather
than importing individual topics. Yet, the old .css style sheets
(default, etc.) retain kadovs. Maybe they get cleaned up later if
you apply them, I haven't tried.
