Changing category on podcast

I've set up a podcast and selected a category in a dialog, but now I find I should change the category, and need to add a subcategory. Actually, I'd also like to add an additional category which is legal according to Apple's specs. Is there any way to access this info in iWeb? I found the XLM data in the application support directory, but although it's simple enough to change an existing category, adding a subcategory in the iWeb domain's XML file seems overwhelming. Is there any sane way to do this short of A) hand-coding the RSS file every time I export (which kind of defeats the whole reason I'm using iWeb) or B) just chucking the site and starting over? It's frustrating that Apple requires this information to list the podcast in iTunes, yet doesn't allow users access to these properties. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have three tracks which were downloaded from Guardian Unlimited (the ricky gervais/steve merchant podfather episodes) however they are just in my Music list.
Is there a way i can change them to Podcasts? I would like to do this ideally so that they don't show up in the "Music" folder on my Ipod classic, and i could have them with the other Ricky gervais podcasts IN the podcast section on my ipod.

Podcast with Just Approved, Need Help with Changing Category

My podcast was just approved, however, it's a movie review podcast and for some reason it's categorized in the Technology section.

Open your podcast in Podcast Maker. If necessary click the 'Edit podcast' button at top right so that you get the split screen with the episodes at the bottom and the 'Podcast title', 'Author', 'Description' and other fields at the top.
The bottom field is 'Categories'. Click the 'Set...' button to its right: You will see the current category listed. Click the '+' button below the list and choose 'TV & Film' from the pop-up list. You will see it added to the list. Then click the present category to select it and click the '-' button to remove it. On your next publish the category should change in iTunes (it may take a few days).
As long as you have an up-to-date version of Podcast Maker the Categories list should match the available ones listed by Apple here

Changing Category

I apologize if this question has been answered before, but I couldn't find in in a search.
Is it possible to change a podcast's category? My podcast (Eerie Cast) quickly broadened it's focus, and doesn't really fit into the original category we placed it in- Places & Travel. Just Society & Culture would suit us best, instead of the Places & Travel sub-category. I've changed my feed to reflect our change of category, but we are still stuck in Places & Travel, even though every other aspect of our podcast has successfully updated throughout the last two months (Artwork, Description, New episodes etc.)
Anyone know why this is?

Looks like you have the correct categories in your feed. Theoretically, iTunes should read your new categories and place it in them as it updates its index.
However, categories is a bit of a sore spot. There is an apparent bug or shortcoming with the iTunes podcast directory categories in which they have a limitation as to how many podcasts can be listed.

How to change category on open and closed PO and Requisition lines

We realized a little late that our category definition needs change. But when we change the category definitions (including structure) how do we change the existing PO lines and Requisition lines to have the new categories? We checked for any APIs, but there are none. What other option do we have?

but a better way would be to make a new user account using system preferences->accounts. call it whatever you want. log into that and delete the old account. since you just got this computer you don't have any data on it yet, right?

How can I change an existing podcast?

My webmaster put up a podcast into iTunes before I had a chance to edit the title and description.
I would like to change the title and description. Is there a way I can do this or do I need to delete the first one and put up another?
If I do have to delete, how do I do that?

I believe you have to change the RSS feed. In order to do that, you need access to the host/server where the podcast's RSS is uploaded. Just go in and edit the title fields and whatever else you want to change.

How can I change a audio podcast into a video podcast?

I'm currently using the lastest version of iTunes and have successfully imported all my music, movies, home videos, books, etc. I'm having an issue with iTunes U and Podcasts. The reasons is because I don't actually use them for the real purpose. Instead, I keep home movies in one and sporting events in another. I don't want to mix them in with the movies, so I thought I found a nice work around. Since these movies are my own, nothing was purchased through iTunes. The problem I'm encountering is that some of the videos have been recognized as videos and some others as audio versions of Podcasts or iTunes U. They are all labeled in as either podcasts/itunes u in the media type field, but I can't seem to find any option to get them solely as Podcasts > Video or iTunes U > Video.
P.S. I also converted the files to Apple TV format, so file type shouldn't be the issue as they would all be the same. Can anyone shed some light? While they do transfer, the ones that show up in music only plays sound without the video.

I figured out a workout around for anyone who may run into a similar problem.
1) Delete Files from iTunes
2) Use MetaX and Open Files (Choosing "Movie" as the type)
3) Save Change to Files
4) Load Files into iTunes
5) Change Media Type (it will stay as video even if podcast or itunes U is selected).

How to change title for podcast on iweb

I am getting the error that my podcast has already been submited to itunes but it hasn't. I sent itunes support an email and they said to change the title of the RSS. Can anyone tell me how to do that in iweb for the podcast?

Change category axis of column chart using Combobox in flex

I am trying to change the data of a column chart using a
combo box. I am using XML for data.
What I am planing to do is.. the combo box will get "Month"
say January, feb etc and same will reflect on the X axis and the
data related to only the selected month should be shown. Say if
January is selected, the x axis should show "January" and the chart
should show only data related to January.

Hi Chris,
That is a Category graph (2-D Line).
A Scatter Plot will allow you to change the Scale and Steps on the X axis.
Click on the Chart (Graph) and Format Panel > Axis
To get a Connection Line or a Trendline on the Scatter Plot, Format Panel > Series
For a Scatter Plot, put your X and Y data in Header Columns (or Header Rows).

Fixed Assets: Changing Category, Depreciation, life

hi
i have an requirement where we need to change asset category, depreciation method, no depreciation and life(1 month). And want to make total depreciation to zero.
Ex:
Asset#A1 already depreciated some amount.
Original category X and degault rules are set to Depreciable.
Defined to new category Y and associate default rules to all CORP and TAX books to not depreciate.
Changed from category X to Y
Now after reclassification, it is depreciating entire amount of the asset and posting to current open period. As the reclassification does not default the new category depreciation flag, it is depreciating entire fixed asset cost immediately. I didn't run depreciation.
Now how do i change YTD depreciation to zero?

Hmm, did you not test this out in a test environment first before doing this in production? Can you be specific on the choices that you made when you changed this asset? Maybe you chose to expense the adjustment in the current period rather than to amortize? Because you originally had it in a depreciable status, then changing it to new financial information, looks like it is choosing to expense the remaining asset cost immediately (which is why you are getting depreciation without having run depreciation). You may need to contact Oracle support at this point to find out how to best recover from this. Though if just one asset, you can just do a journal entry to reverse the depreciation. Then you would want to contact support to find out what is the best way in the future to make this kind of change. The documentation unfortunately does not address the kind of change you were making here. Doe show that it is important to get the depreciation setup correct before activating an asset.

Exchange 2013 PF. Add mark as reponsed when user change Category

Hello,
I have public folders with e-mail enabled adress.
When the user open the public folder in his Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2013, and change the Category, Exchange add a mark as this email is responsed.
This can be worse if the folder have an autoresponse added. The "from" remitent address will receive 2 autoresponses, one when he send the mail for first time, and another when WE change the category of his e-mail.

Removed Podcast, Failing to Re Sumbit, Tried changeing name, Removed Podcast, Failing to Re Sumbit, Tried changeing name

I submitted a podcast a few weeks ago, but the title was wrong and I wanted to change some other things. Couldn't figure out how to do it. Emailing apple got no response. Then asked for podcast to be taken down so i could resubmit. Podcast was removed from store.
In attempting to resubmit the podcast I keep getting feed already exists errors, even though it is no longer in the store.
Tired changing Feed Name and Url many times. I am using Feed Burner.

There is a bug in the automated part of the submissions process which will tell you that a feed has already been submitted even if it's been removed from the Store. The workaround is to change the title, and if possible the link tag and the feed URL. You can always change the title back afterwards as long as doing so doesn't change the feed URL (it some cases it will and Blogger may be one of them, but if you are submitting the Feedburner version you can sort that out in Feedburner). You can't get round this by any other method.
If you create a weblog in Blogger the feed contain all the episodes, not just those with media: it's better for your podcast feed to be only podcasts and to keep a weblog separate. You could start an entirely new blog to be just the podcast, and keep the existing one for non-podcast episodes.
The 'enclosure' tag in the feed contains the URL of the media file and is required for iTunes. One of your episodes does have this - '1 - Gods Of Earth 09/02/12' - so whatever you did there is what you should be doing. Your descriptions in a podcast feed should be kept reasonably brief and shouldn't contain links - iTunes won't display them as working links.

You aren't writing your own feed, and you can't amend the one you have directly, so it's not directly relevant: but it would just give you an idea of how the process works and what you should be looking for. I can't advise on the specifics of making a podcast in Blogger.

Thanks for the help, however the issue was due to the language difference in the systemobject. I could only translate the text of the object because it was maintained in a different language.
However the topic was also combined with some technical issues in the system's setup.
