Changing Chassis Number version 2.0(3a)

I have searched everywhere online & all I can find relating to changing the chassis number is this article:

My question: Is there a way to renumber the chassis WITHOUT decommissioning all desired chassis to be renumbered first? I cannot bring down the chassis at this point. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Chassis re-numbering is always disruptive change and can be performed when we re-commission it.

Changing Chassis Number

I'm having problems changing the ordering of the Chassis that the Fabric Interconnects
are acknowledging.
We have 2 Fabric Interconnects configured as a cluster and 2 Chassis. I've rackmounted the 2 chassis one on top of another so I wanted the top chassis to be "Chassis 1" and the bottom to be "Chassis 2". I noticed that the ordering was reversed in UCSM so I decommissioned both chassis and tried to just acknowledge the top chassis first but it's still coming up as "Chassis 2" even though the other one is still in the "decommissioned" state. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

Apple has rejected my dist-view file as my old version of the app had a bundle short version key of 1.5 but DPS makes a 1.0 version. I believe that only Adobe can change this. Can you please tell me who to contact?

The App name is Exploring Essential Anatomy. app id: eea19102012. The folder number is 2.1. Using DPS app builder 2.3.2.70.60038.
The bundle version is 2.8.0.4.59944
The bundle version short string is 1.0.3
The problem is that the old bundle short string (of my previous build using xcode) is 1.5.
Hence new short string needs to be 1.6 or higher.

I don't think you can do that with the Contact Sheet layout. If you have Pages or a 3rd party image editor that supports layers you can do what you want. Or try the demo version of OmniGraffle for Mac It will run fully operational for 14 days.

You should have 200 undos, and can verify this in the bottom left flyout >> show >> number of undos (this show shows many undos you have cahced, not your max amount, will max out at 200)
You can try changing the 200 in the illustrator preferences, by using a text editor, saving and then booting illustrator. Not sure this is a great idea, as 200 should be plenty, but let us know your results if you try.

Older versions of Illustrator let you change this in the preferences, but they must have decied that hitting CMD Z more than 200 times is not a good way to spend your afternoon.

You can use version management functionality , which will give you record of changes with Reason as well as Text . This functionality will be applicable once you take print out of PO and after that you are doing any changes to PO.

Changing page number sizes

I need to change the font size of the page numbers in my 300+ page document in the CS4 version of Indesign. The page numbers were created automatically, but without the use of a master text frame (it was started in the CS3 version, which I understand doesn't have that feature). Is there a way to automatically change the font size of all the page numbers at once? This would be preferable to going through and editing them manually.

Sadie, here's the way it works. If you start with one master page Called A-Master, make a text frame and place an automatic page number placeholder in it, it will look like the letter A on the master page, and will be replaced by the page number on the document page. You can't select or change the number on the document page unless you detach the text frame from the master page on the document page by clicking on it while holding shift and command. Once detached from the master, the text frame will act the same as if you had created it on the document page, so things like moving or changing the placeholder on the master page will no longer update on that document page.
If you make another master page called B-Master and base it on A-Master, the existing page number marker on the B-Master will also read as A since it is a copy of what was on the A-Master. If you made a second marker on the B-Master, it would have a B instead of an A. If you were to detach the copy of the text frame on the B-Master from the A-Master, it will change from an A to a B, and you will be able to edit it, but just like the link from the master page to the detached document page, the link from the A-Master to the B-Master will be broken, so updating the A-Master will no longer update on the B-Master.
So, to do what you want, you can either change the placeholder on the A-Master and it will change there, on any masters that were based on A, and on all document pages that were based on A or the masters based on A. If you don't want to do that, detach the text frame on the B-Master and it will update on all of the document pages based on B-Master, but all those based on A-Master will remain the same.

BT changed my number 6 times in 6 days! Death in ...

Ok someone explain this to me - 6 number in 6 days. I migrated to BT from another provider and requested to keep the same number.
Here's how it went - the VERY, VERY short version.
Day 1 - The changeover day - no dial tone for the whole day - 1 hour phone call and advised to "wait until tomorrow"
Day 2 - Given a random phone number - told this was 'normal practice' - how else can BT change the number without giving me a temporary number...
Day 3 - another random number - "sir - I don't know what went wrong with that..."
Day 4 - yet another number - can't quite believe it - more phone calls trying to get hold of a manager - a manager will phone me tomorrow.
Day 5 - Still no phone call from a manager - yet another different phone number - yet another promise - "Sir you have my word as a gentleman - your line will definitely be fixed by tomorrow at 10.20 am"
Day 6 - yet another number - the manager (not a CS manager) I have managed to track down says there is not even a record of my original number! Even though the last thing I asked the advisor form the previous day was "Please repeat back to me the original number". He did so...
Day 7 - Seems to be a real CS manager this time - guess what - another number. I'm assured once again that my number will be reinstated tomorrow - she will see to it personally.
Day 8 - got the number back.
Now - this was a bad week for this to happen. My Uncle had just died and I had to deal with funeral arrangements. His wife had a fall and is now in hospital with a fractured pelvis. Friends, family, hospital, undertaker - all trying to get a hold of me. You get the picture.
In the meantime my ISP had cut me off as the line is dead and they can't get a hold of me. £140 for a reconnect - they are ENTANET - (Seriously Internet).
All because I went back to BT.
Anyone that's taken the time to read this - BEWARE OF BT!!!!!!
Official complaint going into OFCOM - requested copies of all data and transcripts of phone calls (maybe 5-6 hours in total). Someone has a lot of explaining to do - preferably in a court of law!

If your trying to change the number used for iCloud keychain, you change it on an iOS device or Mac that is using your keychain as follows:
iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Make sure the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
Otherwise, please explain what number you are trying to change and what version of iOS you're running.

Can you Disable the emergency call (911) or change the number. When my phone is locked I keep calling it when the phone is in my pocket.

I'm afraid that there does not appear to be any way to disable the autocomplete of the LabVIEW combo box. If this is a real problem the best suggestion I could give you would be to try the .net combo box. This does allow you to disable the autocomplete mode although obivously the programming would be slightly more complex than the built in combo box.
Otherwise you could use the update value on every key and use a different event to trigger the movement or if it isnt the enter key that is pressed do nothing in the event case.

If you Erased the Drive and set up the computer anew it will depend on how you migrated/imported your Mac User Account (if you even did).
Mostly the process will make the Mac seen as a "New" computer.
In some cases this will means settings that involve some sort of "pairing" will not work.
You may also get to the point of having 5 "devices" linked to iTunes because of this.
I have G4 that is coming up on 121 years old.
It has 4 drive bays and some of the drives are partitioned.
It will boot into OS 9 and every version of OS X up to and including Leopard (OS X 10.5)
I have tended to Clone the current set up and then Update the main Drive.
It does mean though that iTunes counts them all individually.
On top of that I have a Snow Leopard MacBook Pro and my current Yosemite booted iMac (It also has Older OSes on External Drives)
The outcome is that you might have to re-link the two devices.

If I look at the above VTP information I see they both are not synchronized between eachother.
Question what happens/impact when you change the vtp version to 2.
I dont see any impact, were in if you configure with the same domain and password the remote switch would get sychnozed with the server with proper vlan information.
The major difference between VTP version 1 and version 2 are:
1. Support for Token Ring Vlans.
2. Version 2 supports consistancy checks. This means that when new information about the VTP domain is entered through the command line or some other method like SNMP, VTP version 2 will perform the consistancy check. VTP version 2 will not check a VTP frame if is it received from another VTP peer or if the information is obtained from NVRAM. The VTP peer will perfom a MD5 hash check on a VTP frame received from a VTP peer and if it's correct, it will accept the message.
3. In VTP version 2, if a switch is in transparent mode, it will forward the message without checking version information. A transparent switch using VTP version 1 will check the domain and version before if forwards the frame.
Best practice would be:
NOTE: Change the Remote switch mode to Transparent, do all the required changes and made it to be client to avoid any issue.

Change php-cli version in Terminal

I'm one of the many people who appreciated the pre-install of PHP 5.3.x with my new mac but needed to use 5.2.x for my local development environment. I performed one of the prescribed rollback methods and when using PHP through apache it works great. A phpinfo() shows: PHP Version 5.2.10.
However, when using PHP through the command line (which also includes cron jobs I've set up, etc.) it still thinks it is 5.3.x. A php -v from the command line shows: PHP 5.3.2 (cli).
I need these to be in sync for a variety of reasons, including using pear (which automatically builds extensions for 5.3.x instead of 5.2.x) and cronjobs, etc.

You don't want to change the system version. You can certainly download the PHP source, compile it, and install it into /usr/local and it should run fine. Even better, since you only need this for the command line client, you don't have to worry about having a matching Apache. Just make sure that your full 5.2 PHP completely matches your .so version in terms of build settings and libraries.
I wish macs came with apt-get or a similar package manager because I think this would be easier if so.
That is by design. Apple doesn't want to have to deal with a moving target OS when updating. There is no "Linux operating system" - singular. Each individual Linux machine is a unique OS.
If you want there are a number of 3rd party package managers for MacOS X. I think they are useful only in some very specific circumstances. If you jump to them without knowing all of the side effects, you could get burned. If you do the required research and have good knowledge of MacOS X and how the 3rd party package manager works, you can use it effectively. If you don't pay attention, you could wind up unable to build or run even the simplest open-source projects.
