Changing color of ipod mini

Hi,
I have a blue ipod mini and i dont really like the color because i am a boy and it is a kind of girly color. But anyways, I want to try to find something that will change the color of my mini. Probably something that just fits right over it and isnt to expensive. If you have any suggestions please reply and tell me.

I bought things called Jam jackets which are silicone jackets which fit right over your Ipod mini. They come in loads of different colours and they protect them too. What a cool idea. I hope this helps. (ebay, apple shop and pplaces like dixons e.t.c sell them) from Joy14 p.s they're only about £12 for 3 different coloured ones. Cheap!

Indeed iCal is the calendar in OS X.
I'm at home now but at work on Outlook 2003 I have different colours as backgrounds for different people's calendars (which are shared over an Exchange server) you can also set a tag against events in Outlook which then shades those events to a colour responding to what type of appointment they are:

On the iPod if you have firmware 1.1.5 or lower then you are stuck with blue-grey only. If you have firmware 2.0 or higher you should be able to configure multiple colours. I'm afraid I forgot this fact in my earlier replies and it may well explain what you're seeing.

Can someone walk me through changing a battery to an Ipod mini? Is the battery something that I can buy at a store near me? Is it something i can do on my own, or do i need to send it somewhere?

My ipod mini repeatedly updates the same "selected itunes playlists" that I initially chose as an updating option. I am not able so far to select the "manual update" or update all songs and playlist. Additionally, experiencing the "blue screen, rebooting, re-logging in" process. Any suggestions/recommendations for correcting problems?

My ipod touch's screen is changing colors and will not respond to the buttons

my sisters ipod touch is a 4th gen and the screen recently started changing colors, it does not respond to the buttons and will not turn off. should i wait for the battery to die then charge it. she said it started happening when she was charging it. could it be the charging cable? i do not know what OS it has.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Importing from iPod Mini after changing computers

I apologize I am not overly familiar with iTunes and iPods. I am trying to help my niece with issues that she is having with her iPod mini. Their original computer had issues and so a new computer was purchased. Since changing to the new computer we cannot get the music that is on the iPod mini to download to the computer. She would like to be able to put some of the music on a CD. Is there a way to get the music off the iPod other than completely deleting it?

Ipod mini icon color in itunes is incorrect

The icon of my ipod mini in itunes is incorrect. When i connect the mini to itunes, it shows up as silver, but my mini is green. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Actually, (Not that it matters) I have a green iPod and originally, my icon was silver. When I updated my iTunes and iPod software last time, the icon changed to green. Apparently it was included in one of these updates.

How to change ipod Mini battery sign to a percentage?

Hey guys,
just got a 2g ipod mini for my girlfriend (she didn't want a nano) and i want to change the battery meter to read as a percentage.
I had the page bookmarked but Apple says it is deleted now (they probably cleaned out old posts) so if anyone has the steps or knows how to do this could you please post it?
i like percentages better, lets me estimate easier.

I don't think you could do that. Besides if that's possible, it'll only be an estimate. So it'll be as good as a graphic estimate.

IPod mini stuck on Hold after changing battery

I just replaced the battery on my 4gb iPod Mini. prior to changing the battery, I moved the "lock" switch to the locked position (per the battery vendor's instructions). I replaced my battery & have twice restored the Mini to it's original settings, but the lock icon won't disappear when I toggle the switch. when I slide the as a result, I can't play anything. I can add music/podcasts to the Mini, but I can't play them. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Try resetting the iPod mini by holding in the center button along with the up button. Hold it in until you see the Apple logo appear. If resetting it doesn't work, let me know.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Funky changes in itunes when I went from ipod mini to video ipod

I had an ipod mini. Just got a video ipod. Ever since I got the video ipod and hooked it up to my computer for the first time, when I play music in itunes, it will only play the song that I click on, it won't play subsequent songs and if I click on the >> button, it won't go to the next song. I have to physically click on the next song. Yes, I made sure that repeat all was selected in controls. Does anyone know what is up?
