Changing color of lines that identify selected objects

Some of my artboards use the color yellow to highlight selected objects. Can I change that?

that would be your layer color. in the layers panel double click on the layer to get the options window and change the color there.

  • Need to change colors of lines in an Omniportlet Line Chart

    I am running Oracle Portal on a 10g Web server. I have created an Omniportlet and I am displaying data in a line chart. Is it possible for me to define the colours of the lines in the linechart?

    Hi I didn't changed colors in line chart but I managed to redesign lot of omniportlets.
    What you can do is to re-define CSS.
    Add an HTML portlet in your page with some CSS embedded.
    To catch wich class are to be re defined, I recommand you to use firefox with the extension Webdevelopper.
    Use the "Informations - display element information" functionnality to catch wich class are used for your chart.
    Then redefine those classes in your custom CSS.
    Hope that will help

  • CS4: Change color of line indicator/outline tool (not line itself)

    I couldn't find an answer in any of the resources - possibly because I don't know the right term.
    I am talking about the line that is displayed during the period that you draw a line - from the time you click the mouse, until you release it. There's a thin greyscale line indicating the outline of the item you are drawing.
    I'm working on ultrasound images, full of greyscale spots. In order to draw lines as precisely as possible, I would prefer that the outline that is displayed while I'm trying to draw my line as correctly as possible, has another color.
    I know how to change the color of lines that I have drawn, that are part of the image. What I need is to change the color of the line indicator/helper tool that ONLY shows WHEN I'm drawing a line, and is not really a part of the image.
    Hope you can help!

    It's a well-known shortcoming that the path that's drawn with the pen is hard to see under some circumstances.
    One thing:  Its appearance is a little different with OpenGL Drawing disabled vs. enabled.  What's your setting (Edit - Preferences - Performance)?
    If you're not in need of the OpenGL features, disabling OpenGL Drawing could be helpful in making your paths somewhat more visible.  Such a change is not without downsides, but perhaps it could serve as a workaround for you.

  • How do I avoid the white line that forms around objects I've separated from a background?

    This is a cropped corner of an illustration I removed from its opaque background and placed on a transparent background.  The north and west borders show the whilte line that forms whenever I place objects on a transparent background.  The south and east borders are the cropped edges -- they are clean and make the trasition from object to background color without that white line.  With some objects, it's possible to use the Plygonal Lasso Tool, for instance, and trim that object away from the background.  With portraits or irregularly shaped objects, though, it's necessary to use the Magic Wand or other means to trim the background away from the object, which results in that unwanted white line.  I've read for hours online about this problem and have found no true resolution: Defringing, Removing White Matte, Anti-aliasing, trying to predict what color you'll lay the silhouette on and working in that color, and on and on.  It seems as though Photoshop would be relied upon heavily by professionals who need to place objects on top of one another without intrusion.  Does anyone have a method that really works?

    Hi!  If the solutions you mentioned aren't working for your project, it might be worth learning a little bit about Layer Masks.  This is a page that explains how Layer Masks work. http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/masking-layers.html
    A Layer Mask is a black-and-white image that corresponds to your source image applied in such a way that white areas display and black areas don't.  So for your project, you would want to use Photoshop to turn your scanned illustration into a black-and-white image where the area you want to keep is white, and the area you don't want to keep is black.  Here is a demo using your uploaded image:
    1. Open your image in Photoshop.  Right-click on your source layer in the Layers Palette and select Duplicate Layer.
    2. With the upper layer selected, use Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate to turn the layer black-and-white.
    3. Use Image -> Adjustments -> Invert to reverse the black and white.  Now the white background should be black.
    4. With the upper layer selected, use Image -> Adjustments -> Levels.  Move the black, white, and gray arrows such that there is a hard black-and-white contrastwhere you want the white background to be removed.
    5. You may have to use the lasso tool or the brush tool to complete the silhouette of the image against the white background.
    6. With the upper, black-and-white layer selected, Edit -> Select All and Copy.  Turn the layer visibility off so that you are again looking at the original image.
    7. With the lower layer selected, click the Layer Mask icon.  Alt-click on the Layer Mask to edit the Mask directly.
    8. Edit -> Paste to apply the black-and-white image you created as a Layer Mask.  If you then click the layer icon again, you should be looking at your correctly cropped image!
    Hope this helps.

  • Changing color on links that have been opened.

    I did a search. After opening one of the matches, I expected that link to be a different color. But it's not. Is there a way to changed the color of a link that's been opened previously? Thanks. Becky

    It should change to a more purplish color. Did you refresh the original page? That's required before the page updates.

  • Change color and line weight

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a script who could act as an Autocad plot (ie convert each color to black, with a different lineweight). I did some research, and tried to mix some scripts found here to create my own, but there is a lot of things I don't understand yet… If anyone could give an eye at these, it would be great!
    Here is the first script I melted, who create my Black swatch
    if ( app.documents.length > 0 ) {
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;
    //add Black swatch
    var newSwatch = app.activeDocument.swatches.add()
    var newColor = new GrayColor();
    newColor.gray = 100;
    newSwatch.name = "Black"
    newSwatch.color = newColor
    //Sélectionner les lignes par spot color
    var findColor = swatch.getByName("AutoCAD Color 2").color;
    var replaceColor = swatch.getByName("Black").color;
    //pathItem.strokeColor
    var idoc = app.activeDocument;
    var itext = idoc.textFrames[0];
    //alert(itext.textRange.characterAttributes.fillColor);
    var fillColor = itext.textRange.characterAttributes.fillColor;
    var strokeColor = itext.textRange.characterAttributes.strokeColor;
    filled = stroked = "yes";
    if (fillColor=="[NoColor]")
            filled = "No";
    if (strokeColor=="[NoColor]")
            stroked = "No";
    alert("Filled: " + filled + "\n" + "Stroked: " + stroked);
    And here is the second one, who replace one color by Black (it don't change the text, nor the lineweight yet…

  • I have a 5th generation IPod touch, and today when i turned it on everything was fine. Then suddenly the screen froze and changed colors and lines started coming from the sides of the Ipod until the reached the middle. Now it won't turn back on.

    I tried restarting it by using just the power on button at first. Once that failed I held the power and home buttom for ten sconds and that didn't work. I then plugged in the ipod to see if it needed charged, and repeated the same two steps at before but to no avail. Finally, I opened up itunes and plugged my ipod in, but nothing came up. I then tried to turn it on for a third time, but nothing happened. I just confused on what happened. Could it be a bad display, or did the whole thing just die on me? Help please.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Play Button Changes Color To Red, Can I Change It?

    In the Sliding Planes theme, when I preview, the Play button (originally dark blue) turns red. It has to be something set in the theme since other themes have a change in color of the Play button as well (sometimes to yellow and other colors). Is this changeable? I would rather the color not change and stay dark blue. Thanks a lot!

    Ok, I think you answered my question. I just want to make sure you know that it's not the highlighting persay that I'm talking about, it's just the fact that the button changes and stays to red, it's not that it only gets red when you're selecting it but that once the menu starts and the text flies in and the drop zones are in motion the top writting and everything is the color I want but the Play button turns red automatically before I select it or anything. But I think you answered my question in that the theme I selected requires the Play button to turn red automatically to distinguish it from other buttons. I wouldn't mind it turning red when I would press enter or something to play, like for a second to change color to know that I cliked it, but what bothers me is that it's red the whole time which off sets the color scheme that I'm trying to make on the menu. Thanks again

  • Visited download links don't change color (but do in FireFox)

    I have a mass amount of files to download listed on a Web page.  When I click the link, the file downloads, but the link on my downloads page never changes colors to note that the link has been visited.
    Is this a bug and is there a work around for my HTML page?  Currently I'm using javascript to change link colors.

    Thanks for the input.  I tried that, and it didn't work.  It appears to work for everything else - just not download links.
    Here's an example of my links:
    <a href="http://cdn.setxvideo.com/001.MTS" target="new">001.MTS</a>
    in my header is
    <style type="text/css">
    a:link {background-color:#B2FF99;}    /* unvisited link */
    a:visited {
    background-color:#FFFF85;} /* visited link */
    a:hover {background-color:#FF704D;}   /* mouse over link */
    a:active {background-color:#FF704D;}  /* selected link */
    </style>
    Again, they work correctly in FireFox but not Safari.

  • Newbie Help! changing color

    Hey guys, new to After Effects and Ai.....so basically I imported an Ai file into illustrator and animated it....it's just the letter (H). I want the H to turn from green to blue, I opened the change color effects just fine and selected it and made the key frames on the correct layer but it just isn't changing, even as a working preview the colors just don't change but all the other animation and effects work. Is it because it doesn't have a fill? or do I have to make it a shape?

    I'd make a second separate letter in Illustrator in the color you want -- on a  different LAYER... why is it that illustrator people so often ignore layers, anyway?... import the new illustrator document as a comp into AE, then match up the positions and animate the opacity of the layer with the second colored letter.

  • Change color of clothing in Photoshop?

    Hello,
    There's a nifty filter in After Effects called Change Color, with which you can select the color of a shirt in a photo, for example, adjust the threshold of the color to change, and quickly change the color of clothing, in very realistic way, in one step. I don't see a similar tool in Photoshop. Does anyone know if there is one? Thank you!

    If you're looking for penultimate quality, I imagine you'd want to try to select/mask the garment in question with a high quality selection/mask, then do something like a Hue/Saturation adjustment (layer).
    Russell Brown's video shows how to use selection and the Refine Edges function, which I'm sure would work with a colored shirt or whatever quite well...
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-russell-brown-show/masking-basics-in-photoshop-cs5/
    Short of going all the way per the above video, the Hue/Saturation function itself allows you to affect color ranges.  Sometimes this can be enough in itself.  Depends on the level of realism in the detail you want to achieve.

  • Can you change the color of the animated blue selection outline that appears when selecting comments

    Hi all,
    Does anyone know how to change the default colour of the animated container box that indicates the selected comment in a PDF's Comments List.
    I get PDFs back from clients with sometimes with 30 small changes indicated per page. As I go through the changes in the Comments List, I tick of the boxes as I complete the changes. So as I select the comments in the list, I'm then looking for the area in the design that's being referenced so I can jump into InDesign and make the change. I find that on copy-dense pages the light blue animated line (shown in the attached photo) gets lost and I'm sometimes scanning all over the page looking for it.
    If I could change it's colour to something that would jump off the page more (say bright red or green), it would make my life a bit easier, and make the flow of processing changes a little faster.
    Does anyone know if/how I can do this? I looked all through the preferences and could not find anything.
    Thanks....

    Thanks for taking the time to respond. I'll try that.
    Hopefully they'll make that customizable at some point - will make the workflow smoother for sure. Seems like it would be a simple thing to implement...
