Changing Contact Settings asks for Old Facebook Details!!!

So!! when I change my contact settings on my i-pad it asks for my old Facebook password for my old account, with my old e-mail. Then it displays "Settings" and "Cancel" as the only two options. When I click on "Settings" it takes me to the Facebook tab on Settings, and asks me for my facebook password. It says that "The user name or password is incorrect", when I enter the correct password, i.e. the current one. There maybe a chance that I have forgotten my old password for facebook, but I have tried all possible passwords that I might have kept previously. It doesn't work. I tried clicking on  "Delete Account", it doesnt serve any function. I tried going to "Groups" in the upper left corner of the the contacts, and unmarked all linked IDs, such as All Hotmail, All Facebook, All Gmail etc, but it still asks me for my facebook password. What can I do?

I just thought of something. I plugged it into my iMac and synced some songs over to it from my iTunes. Is there a chance that is why the apps ask for my iTunes account information? But his iTunes account is still in the iTunes Store in settings, I'm so confused.

You're saying this is happening on a Mac??  Find My iPhone is a feature of iOS devices, not Macs.  If you are trying to change the iCloud ID on an iOS device, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • Changed my yahoo account and ID now apps ask for old ID

I recently Changed my yahoo account and ID now apps ask for old ID and password. How can I delete the old id? The cloud app is really irritating about this.

The ID for apps will never change. They are locked to the Apple ID they were purchased/downloaded with. Apple ID and iTunes accounts cannot be merged, so you either delete the apps with the old ID and re-purchase/download them, or else you have to use the old Apple ID and password to update them.

  • Hello, i have been sent the following email from apple: - You've taken the added security step and provided a rescue email address. Now all you need to do is verify that it belongs to you... and asks for apple login details, is this a genuine request?

Hello, i have been sent the following email from apple, see below and asks for apple login details, is this a genuine request?
    Thank you.
You’ve taken the added security step and provided a rescue email address. Now all you need to do is verify that it belongs to you.
The rescue email address that you gave us is [email protected]
Just click the link below to verify, sign in using your Apple ID and password, then follow the prompts.
    Verify Now >
The rescue email address is dedicated to your security and allows Apple to get in touch if any account questions come up, such as the need to reset your password or change your security questions. As promised, Apple will never send any announcements or marketing messages to this address.
When using Apple products and services, you’ll still sign in with your primary email address as your Apple ID.
    It’s about protecting your identity.
Just so you know, Apple sends out an email whenever someone adds or changes a rescue email address associated with an existing Apple ID. If you received this email in error, don’t worry. It’s likely someone just mistyped their own email address when creating a new Apple ID.
If you have questions or need help, visit the Apple ID Support site.
    Thanks again,
    Apple Support

In that case, someone is trying to hi-jack your Apple ID.
You should change your password immediately.

  • How to purchase apps in App Store? When I am trying to buy those apps, it is asking for my card details. I have entered my debit card number and then it asked for 3 digit security code. I have entered cvv secure code but it is showing an invalid security

Debit cards are no longer accepted in the iTunes Store, it seems. The current valid payment methods are listed here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5552
You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they probably will tell you that it's not possible.
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
Using a debit card in any online service where it stores your card is a bad idea in any case since if someone gains access to your account in the service, they can quickly drain your bank account. Credit cards limit your liability, as do prepaid iTunes cards.
    Regards.

  • Old apple id is appearing on screen asking for old password

when trying to access anything on iphone, old apple id is appearing asking for old password. I have tried changing to my new apple id and password in imessage and in facetime, but it still happens.I noticed my icloud email is still the old one.Not sure how to change that?Oh and i also have a iphone4 on another line thaqt used to be my phone that has the same problems.

Probably because some of your apps on your phone are tied to your old Apple ID. Apps are forever tied to the ID you purchased them with.

  • When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID.  How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password???  I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id.

When I try to update apps on my iPad, it asks me for my mothers password and displays her apple ID.  How do I change it to ask for my apple id and password???  I am signed into the store and iCloud with my apple id.  I am not signed into ITunes, the store on the ipad, or icloud under her name.  WIERD???

There is no featured tab in my iTunes store. . . and everywhere it shows me signed in. I had downloaded an app for my mother on HER ipad, and that is the only app I have done for her. It shows up on my phone, and now I cannot update any of my apps. I uninstalled that app on my phone, but when I want to update ones I have installed on my phone with my appleid, she keeps showing up.

  • Sold my wifi iPad and reset b4 selling but new owner can't log into apple keeps asking for old( mine) Apple id

Sold my wifi iPad and reset b4 selling
New owner can't sign into his Apple ID keeps asking for old (mine) Apple ID
Thought would have erased with resetting iPad

Hello, your iPad is 'Activation Locked' as a part of 'Find My iPad'.
Log onto www.icloud.com, go to 'Find My iPhone'. Then select 'All Devices', your old iPad will probably show here, select 'Remove from Account'.
If there is no option to 'Remove from Account' ask the current owner to switch iPad off for a while, and remove from account should show in 5 minutes or so.

  • I am trying to update my apps but it is asking for my card details and when i enter them it says my card was declined but i havent bought anything, can i see what the purchase is for?

I am trying to update my apps but it is asking for my card details and when i enter them it says my card was declined but i havent bought anything, can i see what the purchase is for?

Again,  Apps will always be tied to the account from which they were purchased and will always have to be updated using that account.
    Always, mean exactly that, always.
If you want them to be on your account then you need to buy them using your account.

  • HT3702 When I try to download a "FREE" app is ask for my billing details, I put in the "CORRTECTLY"  and it declines it, why ?????

When I try to download a "FREE" app is ask for my billing details, I put in the "CORRTECTLY"  and it declines it, why ?????

You normally need to provide some sort of payment method (in part as proof of residence in the country) before you can get even the free apps. It is possible to set up a new iTunes Store account just for free apps, but you have to create a new Apple ID; you cannot use an existing one. If you want to do that, take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is  critical. Note again that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
    Regards.
