Changing country - problem with cards

Just moved to Australia, cancelled my UK cards and now can't buy anything on iTunes because I need to have a UK card because my iTunes is registered for the UK region. So change region? Can't change region until I've entered a legitimate UK card, which of course I no longer have...
Feel totally stuck in limbo. Can anyone help out?

There is the option of creating a new AUS account but then you will have issues with purchases made in the UK because you cannot crossover from one account to another.
This is related to the topic that keeps coming up regarding accounts and wanting to access content in app/iTunes stores in other countries. Just is not as seamless as it should be for us.

OS X 10.4.x on PPC and Intel having problems with Card Readers

I am in charge of a school district running about 75 client macs, all PPC G5 and Intel mixed. I have been having reports that the Lexar card readers for the digital photography lab sometimes do not auto-mount the media that is inserted into them. Apple System Profiler detects the card reader, but when the card is stuck into the reader it does not appear in finder at all to retrieve the files.
Upon testing, a reboot usually alleviates the problem, but the teachers feel that the interuption in class and productivity time for a reboot is unacceptable.
I have the user accounts managed through Workgroup Manager on my Xserve, and I have it set so that they have access to auto-mount media (unless I'm missing a setting somewhere. But i'd think if the setting was off, the reboot wouldn't matter and it wouldn't fix the issue).
At anyrate, my question is has anyone else expierenced problems with card readers and auto-mounting the media in OS X? How about in a multi-user environment. Does anyone have any suggestions? All are welcome.

Since the latest update Mac OS X 10.4.9, my USB card readers have stopped working. The media is recocognized, but the transfer rate is so slow I could manually write the binary.
There were no issues prior to this update, and card readers work on machines NOT updated.

HT1918 Anyone have any problems with card information not changing?

I am having so many problems with changing cards and having the information stay when I change it. It NEVER stays changed on the PC or my Iphone. Then I get contact assistance for help. Does anyone have a suggestion or have had similiar problems???

The phone goes on the charger at night every night and is at 100% when I am up. The only thing that I use it for is calls e-mail and an occasional Text. I don't; use for music or movies or anything like that. I do play solitaire on it but that hasn't been a problem up to now. I went in and googled the iPhone 6 for power save settings and it gave me a way to look at the Activity.
The only thing that was used that day was Solitaire. I turned off Cell access to Solitaire and it seemed to last a little longer. I just turned it back on to see what happens.

Your phone will work only with a sim card from the carrier that is branded to the phone. It is not country-specific but carrier specific.

Do you mean that you've charged 3 or 4 dollars without buying anything ? If you do then have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account - each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account (it should disappear off your account within a few days or so).

Change country problems

I recently moved from the UK to Australia and need to change the country/region of my appstore id to reflect this. However when I go into the apple id, change country or region I click the button to make the change, the phone communicates for a moment but no selection list appears so I cannot select Australia as my country and carry on to enter payment details.
Could this be related to the fact that my UK card is no longer active and the appstore is waiting for a valid card before I can access to change the region and payment details? If so its seems like I'm stuck in a catch 22. This is starting to affect my business as I am beginning to not be able to update and use business apps because of this issue.

Could very well be. Get an iTunes gift card, redeem that, change your credit card to "none". See if doing that fixes things.

CS4 Small Video Problem with Card Update

I had no problem with the Open GL acceleration with my old card.
I just upgraded my video card to the above and now I'm getting a small problem. I have the newest drivers from the nVidia website for the GTX 260.
When I move my mouse around the Photoshop work space flickers and flashes a little intermittently as I move the mouse around. I turned off GL Acc. and I still have the problem.
Any ideas?

You are correct. Once upon a time I had the Canopus DVStorm with Premiere 6.x and it worked great (and a DVRaptor before that). Then came Premiere Pro and the problems that the DVStorm had were insurmountable so I dumped it and got the RTX-100 which was reputed to be about as good as the DVStorm was in the past. Was I disappointed! It just did not work reliably, hangs, BSOD's, unresponsivess and then when PR CS2 came out you effectively had to get the RTX.2, which was paramount to throwing the RTX.100 down the drain. It seemed to me that with every new version of CSx you needed to get a new Matrox card at extravagant prices for what it offered and still had to wait very long for decent drivers to come out. It just wasn't worth the effort anymore. And when you look here at problems that people experience, the common denominator is usually the Matrox card. So, yes, I am glad I got rid of it and found a very useful purpose for the card: a doorstopper, which must have been the intention of the engineers to start out.
About Win7: No, I did not have any doubts at all, but in my case I was lucky enough to have a high level network consultant with all kinds of certificates and an impressive experience to advise me and he juist plain told me: "You DON'T want Vista!!! ITunes changing country shop with credits?

I live in the US so I use the App Store from there and now I saw an app on google that I wanted and it was in euros so I pressed it and it said it was not available in the US so I had to change to the French App Store. I did so and I didn't find the app so I wanted to go back to the US shop I went to my I'd and set it to US and it said I needed to use all my credits before I can change stores. As it seemed I had a 1$ left on my iTunes gift card and it let me change to the French store with credits so why can't I change back to the US store? How can I change back keeping credits? Are there any apps that are in the US but not in France that I can search to go back on the US store? Please help and thanks :)

iTunes gift cards can only be used in the country they were bought. I live in the UK so US gift cards would be of no use to me..

Fios account # changed and problems with billing

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. What should I enter in detail to be independent from DHCP IP assignments?

the script tells me either
"Destination Hostname does not correspond to a valid host"
or
"Invalid hostname"
So what else can/should I enter?

How do I change the country associated with my account?

I'm trying to activate my Creative Cloud membership but I purchased it on my US credit card and I'm currently located in Australia, so my Adobe account is set up in Australia. When I enter my code I get the following message: This card was purchased in a country that does not match your Adobe ID.
Do I have to create a new Adobe ID with an alternate email? Or can I get around this somehow?

Problems with changing my address from the UK to Australia

I bought my ipod in Australia only last month and now one of my ear phones isnt working. Im currently here on holiday until January. I recently registered under my home address in the UK. Ive tried changing the address to Oz so I can get my ipod fixed but it wont let me?? Is there amy way I can go about getting it fixed without changing my contact details??

Problems with the payment card

last night started to have problems with card purchases in App Store
tested many times the correct data entry, I enter all correctly, but still gives an error "payment processing is temporarily unavailable". Tell me what's the problem?

The iTunes Store typically does not take prepaid "credit" cards since they normally have no billing address associated against which to verify. Why the card worked before but not now I don't know, though Apple has been tightening up their security and that may have finally caught up with that card. You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking if there is any way to use your card, but they may just tell you that it's not possible.

If it is not, then you will need to use a true credit card or purchase prepaid ITunes cards, if Apple has issued them in your country.
