Changing country setting

I would like to change my country setting as I now live in Switzerland and want to redeem credits in this country. I receive the message that I cannot do so with an existing balance however, this balance is for 0.06 cents. How can I change my account in order to redeem credits in my new country?

If you have a balance, you must contact Customer Service at their web page in order to change countries.

  • How to change country setting on weather widget??

Hi, can anybody please teach me how to do this? I'm new to OS Tiger, sorry.

    Hi SplendidWarrior,
After you have entered Singapore hit the 'Enter' key. You will see a brief 'Validating…' while the widget goes on line to find Singapore. If there is more than one 'Singapore' you select the one you want then click the 'Done' button.
Repairing permissions and creating a new user aren't necessary.
    Have fun,

downloaded the updated iTunes and that did nothing. I then went through the form about $ very VERY carefully and discovered one field left blank. Once that was filled in, everything worked and I now have my free app.

  • How or where can I change my country setting???

How (where) can I change my country setting on iTunes and the Apple Store??? My Apple Store setting is set to United States but I live in Canada and this discrepancy seems to prevent me from updating any APPs that I have on my iPhone.

  • How do I change country?

I am trying to make a purchase. My current account is set to Norway but I have moved to the UK. Even when I *try* to change my country, iTunes store does not allow me to make the purchase with the new card details.
--> How do I change country?
--> Do I need to open an entirely new account?
The box that pops up: "You are signed with an Apple ID that is not valid for use in the UK Store.  You may only purchase music from the Norwegian Store with this Apple ID."

    Djohannson,
Assuming you are now physically in the UK, go to the home page of the iTunes Store, use the change country link to change to the UK, and then to payment information to enter your new billing credentials that are tied to your UK address.
If you have any remaining credit balance in the Norway store, you must first ask iTunes Customer Service to clear it out before you do the above.

  • Accessing US store from non US teritory: instead of disabling ID, Apple should warn us to change country then honor our pass purchases

Apple lately had disabled many its iTunes US stores for accessing the store while they are not in US teritory.  This practice had made its customers unable to access the iTunes iCloud, upgrading the apps both for the apps for the iOS or the software that we purchased for our Mac through the App Store.  In my case, I lost $1000+ of my digital assets suddenly.
Here are my suggestion for Apple for its customer who are accessing US store from Outside US:
AA. "Disalowing New Purchase" With the ability of looking thru IP address when we plan to purchase, Apple should warn any new purchase from US customer who are not in US at the time of new purchases.
BB. "Ask the customer to change country in the setting" then they can purchase any available items for that country.  But still their past purchased should be honored.
I hope Apple give solution instead penalizing suddenly its paying customers.

  • How do i change country in the app store?

I did not change my country setting from the US. However I am traveling in France and when I try to download an app it says I am logged into the French app store and am not allowed to download. Any suggestions?

If on an ios device open settings>iTunes and App Stores, tap on your apple id, tap view apple id, if asked for your password type it in then tap country/region and select the appropriate region
If you download any applications while abroad you will not be able to update them once in a different country

  • If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content?

If I change the nation setting of my iTunes in order to buy a song from the American iTunes store, then change my setting back to the Korean store (where you cannot buy music) will that create any problems with my downloaded content? I want to buy an album that I cannot get hold of in Korea, but it is available in the US iTunes store. However since most of my apps are downloaded from the Korean store I'll need to switch back in order to update them. Does anyone know if there are any issues in doing this. I'd rather find out before I spend money, change my store setting back to Korea, and then get told I can't listen to the music because I bought it from the US store and my iTunes is set to the Korean store.
    Cheers.

You canot easily change your country settings.  The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store.  You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.
E.g., "The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance." - http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE

  • How to change country in i-tunes?

Wonder if anyone has had this problem and able to help?
When I am at work using i-tunes, I cannot change the country setting from USA (I am in Australia). I have tried signing out and signing back in, changing the country listed at the bottom (which signs me out again automatcally). I have emiled the apple help desk and they said to de-install, and re-intsall i-tunes (did that and it didn't work either).
This only happens when I am connected to the internet at work (via the work server) - if I use the internet at home it automatically is set to Australia.
Great if anyone has any tips -
    Cheers

I am experiencing the same thing. When connected to the work server, it will not allow me to change from the US to the UK. But at home, I have no problems at all.

  • Macbook Pro 15 Change Country Code to get 11n and 300 Mbit/s

    Hello All!
I have a question: how can I change Country Code on my MBP 15" to get wi-fi 11n mode and 300 Mbit/s (or at least 130) with my TL-WR1043ND router. I've changed the Region setting in the web interface of my router, but it didn't solve the problem. And there is a wonder but my macbook 13" has Country Code: X2 (sometimes FR) and use 11n mode with transmit rate: 130 Mbit/s. So, as for me, that is very strange dependence — Country Code and Connection Speed.
    System info:
    Router preferences:
    Thanx!

So, I have MBP 15-inch, Mid 2010 and MB 13-inch, Mid 2009. And, as I said before, MB 13 doesn't have the problem with 11g mode, it has Contry Code X2 or sometimes FR, but never UA. And the MB13 is older then the MBP15. Maybe problem is in the router, but I don't know how figure out it. And I don't understand, at all, the dependence Transfer Rate and Country Code — why software is restrict connection speed of hardware?

  • Can't create iTunes account or change country of iTunes store

    Hello,
I hope this is the correct place to post this question.
I am set up my iTunes account, and the problem I'm running into has to do with the 'country' setting.
Going through the account setup process, at the credit card information screen, I click the link in order to change countries. I select 'Canada', and click 'Change Country'. At this point I am sent back to the iTunes store main page, which is set to the United States.
If I scroll to the bottom of the main store page, and select 'Canada' to change the country setting manually, I get the error, "Could not complete the iTunes store request. The store may be busy. Check your internet connection or try again later."
I have checked my Norton Internet Security firewall settings. I have cleared the DNS cache. The iTunes store functions normally in other ways, i.e. I can play song previews.
If anyone can help me fix this problem it would be greatly appreciated!
