Changing default loading screen

By default, Flex displays the Loading progress bar while it
initializes an application. Does anyone know how to customize this
loading screen... Any examples would be helpful.

  • Changed the loading screen BMP...anyone else try this? zen x

    Hi everyone.
I just found out you could change the loading screen on the NOMAD CREATIVE ZEN XTRA(40 gig)
I wasn't even sure what the loading screen was.......but after shutting it down it quickly flashed my image.........except it was blurry and hard to read...with some trial and error moves, I was albe to get it more visible, but im sure it could look better
    HAS ANYONE ELSE TRIED THIS?
If so, what type of pictures work best?
Should they be black and white, negati've inverted?........whats the best visible?
---To change the screen, click the 2 mechanical looking COGS logo that is up at the top underneath the tool bar of the creative organizer......then go to change loading screen BMP

    Trance,
Well, you don't actually need to hack it. Just use the MediaSource software and you can change the picture for the player.

  • Change default full-screen view

    Hi All,
In Aperture 3, the default full-screen view is not to see the "viewer" view, but rather the "browser" view.
Is there a way to change this default? When I change to full-screen mode, it's generally to see the largest view of a picture, which is now a 2-step process.
    thanks,
    nathan

    Ernie,
Most of the time when I'm looking to use full screen mode, I'm in the Browser view. It makes sense now that you've detailed what happens -- Browser mode in non-full-screen opens the browser mode in full-screen. That's the key. I hadn't tried to do what you described - full screen mode from the viewer view.
It sounds like I'll have to adjust my workflow. I like working in browser mode and then going to full screen single-photo. However, it doesn't sound like it's the way the new full-screen mode works. The good thing is that the size of the thumbnails is maintained separately for non-full-screen versus full-screen. I can make the full-screen browser have larger thumbnails than my regular browser.
    thanks,

  • Alter Firefox default load screen position Win 7

    Issue = Firefox Load screen-position
I find Firefox loads in Windows 7 at
    the Right
of the screen and half obscured.
It means I am often delayed trying
to drag the window central, as
grabbing the top bar is difficult.
Grabbing this help session bar was
    almost impossible
    for example its so thin.
How do I get Firefox to load central screen every time automatically in
    Windows 7 please.

Window sizes and positions are stored in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder].<br />
    <br />
Delete localstore.rdf or rename the file to localstore.rdf.sav in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to test if the file is corrupted.<br />
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Corrupt_localstore.rdf<br />
(caution: do not delete the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox program installation folder)<br />
    <br />
    Note:<br />
Deleting the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/localstore.rdf localstore.rdf] will reset the customizations of the toolbars to the defaults.<br />
You can rename "localstore.rdf" to "localstore.rdf.sav" to test if that solves it.<br />
Then you can restore the customization by copying "localstore.rdf.sav" to "localstore.rdf" if it didn't work.<br />

  • Change the loading screen for persona

    Hi,
When we access persona, we see attached screen while loading.
Can we have that changed to a white screen or to something of our preference.
    Thanks
    Sushma

You'd have to replace the background.jpg picture with the image of your choice.
It is in package /PERSOS/MAIN, BSP Library -> BSP Applications -> /PERSOS/MAINAPP -> MIMEs -> Images.

  • How to overide applet 's default loading screen?

You know what i am talking about. When we click on applet.html and applet gets launch in the browser. It's gives you kind of sun light rotating clockwise. Any one has any idea how we can overide this scree with our custom screen like ... .Please wait.. or something else..
    thanks in advance

very nice! but unfortunately, new version of java 1.6 JRE is just stand still. Means it does not give a clue to the visitor is something is going on behind the scene(JRE is being loaded). like old jre(1.5) still gives you some activeties going on .. but 1.6 JRE eliminates that.. i hope u understand me from user point of view... so i was wondering why java decided to have this as bad JRE loading mechanism....
I am also wandering how java overide their own java applets on their websites such as games etc. etc..
    Thanks in advance

  • Change Default Home Screen?

Hey Team- is there a way to prevent the desktop product from going straight to the "What's New" screen when Spotify starts up? I really don't care for the foul-named playlists and the lame latest & greatest artists recommended on the "What's New" screen.  I'd rather when Spotify open it goes straight to People or my Library for that matter.  Can that be done- I didn't see how...TIAScott

People seem to have different reasons...
but its a startpage, it should be relevant for the user and it should be personal!
Since I´ve started using Spotify it started up with the "Discover page". Which is mostly relevant. The "Tip" database works, you probably know half or more of what is being tipped, but its decent and part relevant / part irrelevant... and many love and adore this page...
While "Browse" is totally useless, I´ve looked around, been curious, giving chances... but no... eventhough genres i listen to are represented on the "Browse" page, its all totally useless:
Mainsteream playlists, kids music, diluted and toothless hiphop, rock sellouts heavy metal for kids, music which is not music, bad taste extravaganza, there is NOTHING of value, and its really pissing me off...
Obviously I don´t want to see this page every day!!
It reminds me of the commercial radiostation´s rotation lists / of what the industry think should be sold to children and teens who know no better....
This is my first REAL issue with spotify.... even compared to the playback errors we seen earlier on...
Hope you see the point and kind regards....

  • Custom Loading Screen in Applet

    Hello,
in Flex/Flash the swf File contains 2 parts. First the loading Screen and second the programm.
So it loaded the loading Screen and than contains with the loading of the programm.
You can override the common Loading Screen and add some company specific varaint. The is very usefull, cause many company have a own CI.
So it is possible to change the Loading Screen in Java FX Applets?
    Thanks for you Answer.
    Regards,
    Rookee

See [Joshua Marinacci's Blog: A Better Applet Experience, Part 1: a custom loading screen|http://weblogs.java.net/blog/joshy/archive/2008/08/a_better_applet.html] article.
But I fear we are currently limited to an image, fixed or animated (Gif). We cannot do something fancy like a lightweight FX program showing a more or less complex animation while the heavyweight applet loads in background (and provides progress information...).

  • Change default logon/startup/lock screen in windows 8 pro

    Hi,
I want to change my default logon screen, the one that appears when I boot. I have changed the lock screen within my account, but I can't change the one (that I beleive is) for the default user. I have seen some complicated steps to copy over a file
in systemdata folder for the default user profile, but It seems really awful to do it in my notebook (which is not joined to a domain, and it is Windows 8 Pro). So, is there a simple way to do it? Why my personalized lock screen isn't shown?
    Regards,
    MarianoC.

Thanks MarianoC, you got me closer to solving my lock screen problem.  Sorry about your lock screen presets issue, glad that is not an issue for me, as I see you have given up.  I wanted to post my more detailed solution description
here, since this was one of the fist places I landed while researching this.
I fixed mine by replacing the default Lock Screen image files.
You can find them here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly
Caution---You have to have hidden files visible, and you also have to understand how to take ownership of folders and assign ownership and permissions (it's not that difficult, search if
    you don't know how).
    I had 2 folders in that location W and Z;
The W folder already had my selected Lock Screen picture.
The W folder may have been the result of a previous tweak I tried, it had the newer photo I had selected already, if your W doesn’t have your photo and you have issues maybe replace it too.
If you don’t have a W folder I wouldn’t sweat it for now.
I had my luck with the Z folder, it contained the default space needle picture in 2 versions; dimmed and plain (I didn't look for a visual difference).
I replaced both of them with my chosen lock screen picture.
    There are 2 ways to do this;
1st is to rename your original file (add a 1 to the name, you can go back to original easier this way). Replace it with picture of your choosing with the exact same name as original.
You must assign full permission to the system account.
Warning. This method seems safer but I could not figure out how to assign permission to the trusted installer account, which existed previously for this file, this could inhibit some future compatibility.
2nd way preserves system and trusted installer permissions.
Create your lock screen pictures in a separate folder, with exactly the same names as your 2 original files.
Copy/Paste the files into the Z folder, you will get asked to replace existing.
If you say yes it should preserve security settings but update the photo.

  • How do I change the default iPhone screen capture format to .jpg? I have an iPhone 5.

How do I change the default iPhone screen capture format to .jpg?
I have an iPhone 5 (but I'm sure users with other models would like to do this as well).
My online searches have not found an answer -- I did find a discussion thread that was essentially, "Why would you want to do that?" Those posts are not welcome! Not looking for a work-around, an intermediate step, or the need to change the file format on a computer, etc. Just want to hit the two buttons and have the resulting capture be a JPEG file.
Not interested in jailbreaking or using apps that require jailbreak -- Want to do this with a new phone.
Thank you in advance for any help!!
    --tim

    You can't.

  • Change Default Screen Capture Format from PNG to JPG

I'm running Mac OS 10.4.8 on a G5 Duo Core (Power PC). Up until about 10.4.1, my screen captures (Apple-Shift-4) would result in a PDF file. Then they started coming out as PNG files. I would strongly prefer that they default to jpg files, since I typically change the PNG files to JPG.
Can anyone tell me how to change the default for screen captures from PNG format to jpg format?
I have tried to use the process described at http://textsnippets.com/posts/show/131 but this does not change the default format for screen captures. I've also discussed this issue with Apple online help, but they were not able to change the default format either.
    Any suggestions?

Download and use Screenshots Preference Pane:
    http://www.ego-systems.com/Products/screenshotsprefpane.html
It's free and easy, gives you about a dozen options on how to save the shot and allows you to change where it's saved to.
    I also use Capture Me:
    http://www.chimoosoft.com/captureme.html
Best screen capture utility I've tried, you can save each screen shot in any format you want or have it go. It also works as a great picture sticky because the windows floats above other windows. It's also free,
    Kevin

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
I have seen a lot of cases like your issue, and it's easy to solve.
First, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair permissions. Sometimes, a permission can be damaged and it makes that an application doesn't work properly.
If that doesn't work, open Finder, select Go menu > Go to Folder, type ~/Library/Prefereces, delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" and "com.apple.systempreferences.plist" and restart
