Changing default settings for video effect?

Hi,
I have a ton of interview clips to which I am adding the Timecode effect for transcriptions and translations.
For each clip I increase the size and opacity, remove the field symbol and change Timecode Source to Media. I have hundreds of clips and changing the settings for each clip is a real pain.
Is there any way to change the default settings of the effect so I can just drag the effect to the clips and be done with it?
Thanks.

Set up the timecode effect the way you like it on one clip,
then right-click the clip and select 'Copy'.
Select all of the other clips to which you want to apply the same effect,
right-click and select 'Paste Attributes'.

  • How to change default settings for a video generator?

I'm using a video generator (Lyric Media's Pan Zoom Pro) many times in the same project, and have to change the default settings for each new instance of the generator that I create. I'm wondering if there's any way to change the default settings for a generator (i.e., length of clip, individual slider and checkbox settings in the "controls" tab) so that each new instance automatically has my customized settings when I first open it.
    Thanks.

That works for the all the controls/filter settings. The clip length still defaults to 10 seconds, but that's OK, since the main thing I was looking for was to change the clip's internal settings. Thanks for your help

  • Change default settings for email transmission delay

    Outlook Mail delay:
Is it possible to change the "default" settings (default is 5pm resp. 17.00) under Email - Options - Transmission delay. If yes, where resp. how?
    Kind regards
    Marcel

    Hi Marcel,
Based on my knowledge, there is no parameter to directly change this default settings for message Delivery Delay in Outlook.
I suggest we can ask for a help in Outlook Development forum to confirm if it can be achieved by using a macro. Please ask a question in the following forum to have a try:

  • Change Defaults Settings for Safari

Since I upgraded to the New Mountain Lion, the Default Settings for my Safari browser is Bay City. How do I change this where I live?

    HI Norm,
Open System Preferences/Network. Select Airport in the panel in the left then click the Advanced tab then click the Proxies tab. Where you see: Select a protocol to configure Make sure there are NO boxes checked.
Click the Airport tab in that same window. Make sure your network is listed under: Preferred Networks
If not, cick + Type in your network name or click Show Networks and select it from there. Your network should be listed in the Preferred Networks window now. Just below that window select the box next to: Remember networks this computer has joined.
If you still have problems, open Airport Utility (Applications/Utilities)
Select your device on the left then click Continue. In the next window click: I want to restore this AirPort device to its factory settings and then set it up again; then click Continue.
I'm on Comcast without using any Proxies.
You can disconnect the Comcast cable modem from it's power source for about 5 minutes then reconnect. Sometimes you have to recycle the modem.
    AirPort troubleshooting guide
Also, on the G5. Go to /Library/Preferences/System Configuration and move these files to the Trash.
    com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
    com.apple.nat.plist
    com.apple.network.identification.plist
You may only see the com.apple.airport.preferences.plist file in that list since it's running 10.5.x
Don't worry about the other .plist files if they are not available.

  • Change default settings for CaptureOnTouch with Canon imageFORMULA DR-C125

Default settings for the CaptureOnTouch program get loaded automatically on startup for my Canon imageFORMULA DR-C125. I can personalize these settings, and take a backup, no problem. When another user logs into that very same computer with the very same scanner attached, they get the same automatically loaded default settings. In order for them to use the settings that I took a great deal of time to customize, they need to load the backup file that I created (whateverfilename.cot). It may seem like no big deal for somebody with some medium computer knowledge, but I have 50+ users logging into this computer, and I do not have time to show everyone of them what to do nor how to do it. Here comes my question: where are the defaults settings that Canon has created (which are so limited : they don't contain grayscale scan settings!) located on the computer (Program Files?) and what is the name of the file? I need to change these settings to something my users can easily deal with, and more importantly, I need scans that are nimble in size so that they can be emailed easily. Thank you so much in advance for you help! Stéphane

  • Change Default settings for iCal

My iCal seems to default to an all-day event when I try to create a new event this is annoying.
Does anyone know how I can change the default settings?
    Thanks

    LplateMac,
iCal now uses data detectors to help you create new events.
For example, you can enter “Super Bowl Party Feb 6,” “Movie with Rebecca on Friday at 7pm,” “Soccer Game on Saturday from 11am-1pm,” or “Breakfast with Jon,” and then press Return.

  • Change default settings for Mail

I'm in charge of updating our disk image for our MacBook Pro's running 10.6.2
I need to modify the following settings in our image.
    -Junk Filter turned OFF
-Edit > Attachments > Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments - ENABLED
-Edit > Attachments > Always Insert Attachments at End of Message - ENABLED
How can I change these settings on my image, so when the image is deployed to a Mac they will get the Mail Wizard setup with these settings set?
    Thanks in Advance,

For what it's worth, I figured it out.
In addition to my iCloud calendars, I subscribed to CalDAV calendars from my office (from Snow Leopard Server).  For some reason, you can't set or change a default calendar unless you turn off the CalDAV calendars.  At that point, the option to set a default calendar magically appears.  I set the default I wanted, then turned the CalDAV calendars back on, at which time the option disappeared again, but fortunately left my selected calendar as the default.
    Hope this helps someone!

  • How do you change default settings for Pdf document viewing?

Somehow the default setting for all my PDF documents and photos is now ColorSync. How do I change the main default setting, which I think should be Safari?

The default is Preview, and you change it thus:
Select a pdf file, rightclick and select 'Get Info', in the pane that opens scroll down to the section marked 'Open With', select Preview and check the box to 'Change All'

  • Change Default Settings for Preview?

Whenever I open a PDF document, it is always in a two page view.
I would like to be able to have it automatically open in single page continuous but this option isn't in the Preview preferences.
Help would be great so I don't have to change it every time I open PDF!
    Thanks!

well, I'd first check that you've got write permission on Home/Library/Preferences/com.apple.preview.plist since Preview-View-PDF Display should set that for you, just as surely as the Terminal
    defaults write com.apple.Preview PVPDFDisplayMode 1
In any case, perhaps removing the file with Preview quit will restore normal operation, albeit with the loss of your preference settings etc.

  • Can I change default settings for Windows Serial Latency times through LabVIEW

I have a wireless data collection device my company makes that I am trying to use to test one of our other wireless products. The device sends serial data to a PC through a USB port. I have written an automated LabVIEW program to test all the functions of my new product. However, after pulling in data, I have realized that the serial data comes in very fast and requires that I change the default Windows latency time for the COM port from 16ms to 2ms to not miss anything. This is easy enough for me to do locally on my machine, but much harder for me to spec for an offsite CM.
Is there a way to have my LabVIEW program change the latency time of the Windows COM port from 16ms to 2ms automatically?

I've never heard of this being an issue before.  Would you mind uploading your code so that we can see where the problem lies?

  • Is it possible to change the default settings for the slideshow?

The default settings for any new slideshow use the dreaded Ken Burns effect and some awful background music from a standard library. Having to turn these things off for every new slideshow I start is driving me nuts. Perhaps preferring no music accompaniment and a static photo on the screen is for some people rather boring - but I would prefer it, at least as a starting point. If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful. Thanks

Choose "Export" and then the QuickTime option.
It will make a 4 track video with a simple "fade" effect between photos. You can set the dimensions and the duration of your photos. You can also remove the music or add your own from your iTunes Library (no purchased music if you intend to share these movies).

  • How do I change the default settings for opening documents on my macbook?

Hi I would like to know how to change the default settings for opening documents on my macbook. Everytime I try to open a doc. it automatically opens with Textedit, instead of Pages or another program.

Select any particular document you wish to fix. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Open With section select the desired Default Application from the dropdown menu. Click on the Change All button to extend the change to all similar documents.
You can only assign one default application to one type of document.

  • Change default setting for files...

Is there a way to change the default setting for raster effects to 300ppi instead of 72ppi? And is there also a way to have "Align New Objects to Pixel Grid" unchecked by default? I do realize I can change all of these settings either when I create a file or after, but I would like to have them be my defaults. I'm running Illustrator CC on Windows 7. Thanks!
