Changing default Type in Type dropdown of DDL Files only of Generate Server

Hello,
When I try to generate a Server Model Definition, the default type of the Type dropdown list of "DDL Files Only" is "Oracle8.1".
I would like to set it by default at Oracle9i.
Is that possible?
Thank you for your answers.
Nicolas.

Hello Roel,
Sorry for replying so late, I hadn't seen your answer...
I checked the property 'Oracle Version' ans it's already set to "Oracle 9i" ...
So ? Is it a bug?
[EDIT] It works when I generate in the "Distribution" tab, but not when I generate in the "Server Model" tab.
Thank you,
Nico'

  • How to change default Export Format Type in Crystal Report Viewer

We are coding in VB.NET 2005 using the CR2008 SP1 .NET objects.
The Crystal Report Viewer, when displayed, defaults the export type as .rpt (Crystal Reports).
We distribute our .NET application to our customers.  99% of the time, this .rpt format is useless to our customers as they do not have crystal reports developer.  They usually export to a .pdf or .xls format.  Is there a way to default this export option to something other than .rpt?
    Thank you.

Yes, that's as much as I figured.
With the Crystal for .NET methods, the CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine's reportdocument object has an ExportToDisk method.  We wanted to use this (as we used something similar with the RDC) to prompt the user to export.  However, the reportdocument's exporttodisk method does not have an argument that allows for Prompting the user (true/false) like the RDC's export did.  You have to actually know ahead of time the type of export the user wants as well as the filename.  Well, we do not, and therefore, want the user to be able to select the type of export they want as well as enter their own filename.  We want the Crystal methods to prompt for this.  Since we are unable to, we've had to resort to declaring a reportviewer object and setting the viewer's reportsource = to the reportdocument.  We then use the ExportReport() method which defaults to .rpt (which none of our end users have Crystal Developer).  This is why we want to know if there is a way to reset the default export method to something more common (such as .pdf or .xls).  Is there a way to change the reportdocument's file type in order to default the export type?  Just trying to come up with some sort of workaround...
    Thanks

    Hi all
would anyone be able to help explain whether it is possible to change the default save as to a CS5, rather than going to file-save as.

The default is the latest version and you cannot change that, so to save to the earlier you need to use save as.

    Hi All,
How to change the default IDOC basic type from CREMAS05 to CREMAS04 when sending Vendor Master Data.
When I generate partner profile, the system will add the latest version of IDOC type which is CREMAS05 to the Outbound message. In my project, I'm asked to use CREMAS04.

  • How to change default application associated with some mime types?

When we install some new program, for example GIMP, I assume the newly installed program is added to some mime type database, and the /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache file is automatically generated.
Using my example, GIMP will be the default application for all its registered mime types, even application/pdf. I surely don't want this to happen, and I surely don't want to create all kinds of files that GIMP registered and right click on them and choose Properties and then change it in the Open with... tab. I want to systematically de-prioritize GIMP so that it will not override my previously assigned default applications.
I wrote a script to modify the mimeinfo.cache file, and it seems to work great. However, after a reboot or upgrade or something I didn't notice, the default application of application/pdf is reconfigured to GIMP. I think the cache suffix of the file indicates that it is just a cache and may be changed by system unnoticed. So I am looking for a new way to change the default applications.
As far as I know or guess from the phenomena, there should be some system utility that generates the mimeinfo.cache file, it seems to parse all the *.desktop files under /usr/share/applications and register them to certain mime types accordingly. The sequence of the *.desktop files get parsed seems to be related to the time the application is installed, and the newly installed applications seems to be parsed later and inserted in the front of the application list or be parsed earlier and appended to the application list. Is there some place I can change the sequence of the parsing? Or is there some place I can change the behavior of the system utility?
I know that I can populate my ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list to override the system wide defaults, however, I want a more elegant way to this.
Any opinion on this is welcomed.

Ah, right. Don't know what DE you are on, but in Gnome:  right-click a (e.g. pdf) file -> Preferences -> Open with.
All Applications listed there will be available from the right click menu, the marked one will be used on double-click.
    errgrh...
I surely don't want to create all kinds of files that GIMP registered and right click on them and choose Properties and then change it in the Open with... tab. I want to systematically de-prioritize GIMP so that it will not override my previously assigned default applications.
I guess what I am trying to propose is this: "de-prioritize" GIMP in its .dekstop file for the types you dont want it to be associated with, and manually add it back in through "Open With" for the file types you want it to be an option. Not sure if this is solving anything for you though

  • Changing default picture viewer via GPO without changing image type and icon (Windows 7)

    Hello,
I am trying to change the default picture viewer for some file extensions (.bmp, .jpeg, .png and .tiff). Actually Windows Photo Viewer is the default viewer and we need to replace it with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
I managed to do that change via GPO using the 'open with' preference under User Configuration\ Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Folder Options. So now the files are opened with Microsoft Office Picture Manager (office 2010). The problem is that the image
type became 'OIS.EXE' for all the specified file extensions. Moreover the icon is now the same (Microsoft Office 2010).
When I change manually the associated program for a file extension, the icon change but no the image type... this is different using GPO.
Is there a solution in order to change the default program but keeping the image type and associated icon ?
I tried to do that modification using the 'new file type' preference under Computer Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Folder Options. I specified the 'open' action for OIS.exe, selected file extension BMP with associated class 'Bitmap Image'.
It solves the problem for image type, Microsoft Office Picture Manager opens the files ... but I have to specify the icon file path and icon index and I don't know where I can find the default icons for the file extensions ...
What is the best solution ? Am I right ? Am I doing something wrong ?
    Thank you in advance !

    Hello,
thank you very much for your answers.
For the rollback, I will reimport the original/default keys for all the image types, this should be ok.
Here are the problems I have trying to pu Microsoft Office Picture Manager as default picture viewer (I just want  .bmp, .jpg ... files to be opened with Microsoft Office Picture Manager by default).
1 Using new file type under Computer Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\folder options. : I define a new file type (BMP for example), associated class Bitmap Image, I configure the icon (imageres.dll,65) and an open action where OIS.EXE
is the application used to perform the action.
Result : Icon is correct, file type is correct, image files are opened with OIS.EXE (correct) ... BUT now Microsoft Office 2010 appears twice in open or open with menu
2 Using new open with under User configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Folder Options : new open with preference, action (update or replace same result), file extension BMP, associated program (path to OIS.EXE), i check set as default.
Result : Office 2010 opens image files (correct) but icon is Office 2010 one and the file type is now 'OIS.EXE' for all image file extensions I have specified ... so it won't be possible to sort the file by image type if I select that method...
3 Using ftype : OIS.EXE doesn't open the file when I double click on it but Microsoft Office 2010 appears twice in the open or open with list ...
I am a bit lost ... what is the best method to put Microsoft Office Picture Manager as default picture viewer, keeping the image type (Bitmap image, JPEG image etc) and without having Microsoft Office 2010 twice in the open or open with list ??
Last question : by default an image file is opened and previewed with Windows Photo viewer and edited with Paint. I would like just to open images with Office 2010 but keep Windows Photo viewer for preview and Paint for edit ... Is it possible ??
Thank you in advance for any help and support !!

  • [Access 2010] Change default formats for data types

Whenever I import data, the default format for Boolean data types is "-1,0." I know how to subsequently change this format to "Yes/No," but I'd like to change the default

    Hi,
I found you post the same question in other place and got the advice. I agree with Mr. Kees suggestion. The data type is a build-in default setting with Access, we can't change it. We may try the workaround via VBA to test.

  • Change the backend doc type from PR to PO in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.

    Hi,
We have followed below approach for backend document type determination.
    1. A custom function module contains the logic to determine the backend document type of a Shopping cart line item. THis function module, performs many checks and hence cannot be called in any BADI that is executed in Foreground.
    2. I am using BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS to change the follow document type by calling the custom function module.
Issue here is, if the backend document type of a line item is Purchase requisition (2) by SAP standard, and if I try to change it to Purchase order, it gives run time error and ends up in creation of Purchase order.
After further investigation I found that this line item (with default backend doc type as 2) has a desired vendor. If we change the desired vendor of this line item to fixed(To Partner function 19 from partner function 39), it allows us to change the doc type from Purchase requisition to purcahse order in BADI BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS.
But changing the partner function is possible only in BBP_DOC_CHANGE BADI, and I cannot call the custom function module there, as it may impact the performance.
Is there any other way, I can change the partner function in any of the BADIs called in background?
Or Is there any way by which I can change the backend document type from PR to PO in BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS?

    Hi Parab
if you swaping 39 to 19 viadoc change badi

  • Implications of change of Exchange Rate Type from P to M in Version in CO

    Hi SAP Experts,
We have a requirement to change the exchange rate type in Versions. In fact, exchange rate type P has been configured in Version 0. This version is being used in Costing Variant PPC1. Price updations are being made with this costing variant. Costing Variant PPC2 is being used for internal evaluations. No price updations have been done using this costing variant.
Client wants exchange rate type M in a new version to use in costing variant PPC2. I have created a new version X and assigned exchange rate type M in new version X. I have assigned the same version in Receiver version of Profitability Analysis and Version for indicators actual.allocations in Orders/Projects tab in T-code OKEQ. In Settings for Operating Concern, I have assigned currency type "Operating Concern currency" and exchange rate type M. Cost center activity price planning (KP26) has been done with new version X for all the cost centers.
My question is "Will the above changes affect any Plan or Actual values of other versions existed in the system ?"
Please let me know will there any affect on already planned data in the system with any version.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    K.S.K

I don't think it's going to impact other versions but you may need to do simple test for other versions. One more thing is versions are controlling area specific and the M or P rates will be applied based on value date you setup in OKEQ configuration.
You don't need to assign the version for  'Version for ind.act.alloc.'  indicator until unless you use WBS for project planning. By default it will be assigned to zero version.
    Thanks

  • Default Exchange Rate Type

    Dear All,
If we do not assign any exchange rate type to any document type or customer / vendor master data, the system picks the default 'M' exchange rate type. Can anyone let me know where this default setting has been made and whether this setting can be changed? What if I do not maintain exchange rates for 'M' instead I do it for 'M1'
I have a scenario, wherein I want to make exchange rate type other than 'M' as default and we do not want to make it at the document type level or customer / vendor master data level.
To make things more clear, this is not related to the realignment / foreign currency valuation. This is related to recording of invoice export / import or credit / debit notes..
Can anyone let me know how would this be possible?
    Full points guaranted

    Hi Swapvik,
The exchange rate type always is set "M" as default. The only way to
change the exchange rate type is with the customizing in the document type. If you are running the automatic payment program, you can also select a different exchange rate type. However, for normal document postings (trans. FB01), there is no other solution but to choose a different document type.
    For example:
If you want to use exchange rate type B instead of M, in customizing you have to give Alt Ex.Type as B against M. So that it will take B rate whenever M is applicable. If you want this B rate to be applicable for specific document types then you can do  the same at document type definition itself. Otherwise you can do the same At Payment program level/ Revaluation. These are the only places where exch.type comes into picture.
Please be advised that you can not change the default exchange rate type
for the 1st local currency. The default type for 1st local currency KURST of M cannot be changed. SAP does not allow for customers to setup a company code with an exchenage rate type other than M for the 1st local currency (because this could lead to exchange rate differences in the system which are not allowed).
Exchange rates are defined in SAP at a Global level via transaction OB08. In the IMG documentation for transaction OB08 (path General Settings > Currencies > Enter exchange rates) it explains that:
'The exchange rates apply to all company codes'
'The system uses the type M exchange rates for foreign currency
translation when posting and clearing documents. An entry must exist in
the system for this exchange rate type. The exchange rates apply to ALL
    Company Codes.'
    Hope this information helps.

  • Default Exchange rate type at document type level for parallel currencies

    Hi,
I have a scenario wherein 2 parallel currencies have been maintained (Grp & index based) against a Co Code and have maintained a default exchange type (Z2) in the Document type settings (OBA7).
But when I want to post a foreign currency document, system picks Z2 rates for Co Code currency conversion and not for Grp & index based. In fact it picks M rate for these addtional currencies.
I know that for parallel currencies, the system will always use the exchange rate type defined in transaction OB22 ( "M" rate) which is at Co Code level but I want default exchange rate type Z2 to be picked at Document Type level for all the parallel currencies.
Please suggest how to archive this.
    Thanks,
    Sam

    Dear Sam,
The exchange rate type defined in the FI document type (-> field
exchange rate type in transaction OBA7) is only used for the currency
translation from transaction/document currency into first local
currency, not for the currency translation into second local (group)
currency or for the currency translation into third local currency.
The exchange rate types for the currency translation into second
local (group) currency and third local currency are defined in
    transaction OB22.
Unfortunately there is no option to change the exchange rate of 2nd or
3rd local currency in our posting transactions. The design doesn't
regard that requirement. But you have the chance to adjust the parallel
currencies in OB22 or to change the amounts manually.
    I hope this helps.

  • Revert to default 3.0 type versions

I'm having some type version conflict issues and hoping someone can let me know what the best way is to revert everything in the TestStand type palette back to default for TestStand 3.0.  (The version of each type that I'm supposed to have appears to be 3.0.0.12373, but many of the versions somehow have been incremented to 3.0.0.12374.)
I'm not really sure how this happened, but I'm more concerned with how to get everything back to default in the type palette as well as in all of my sequences.  I managed to get some of the type versions back to the right version in the type palette by performing the following steps:
    1) Change the affected types in the global type palette to "Always prompt the user to resolve conflict"
    2) Open up a sequence with the correct versions of the types.
    3) Tell TestStand to use the sequence file's version of the type.
    4) Save all the type palette ini files.
One problem with this is that as soon as I open another sequence file that has version 3.0.0.12374 of any of the types, TestStand immediately replaces the newly repaired global type palette.  Also, when going through the above resolution procedure, I noticed that I have some version 3.0.0.12373 copies of type definitions that have a time-stamp of todays date!  So even if I do manage to get all the sequence files repaired, I have no idea if I've managed to modify a type and save it as version 3.0.0.12373...
I'm beginning to wonder if I should just re-install TestStand, but I can't shake the feeling that there's probably a better way to do this.  (There certainly should be.)  Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks, -Rob

    Rob,
Unwanted Type Propogation can be nasty to clean up.  Since the Type Differ tool only works for versions 3.1 and higher,  you will have to do something a little more crude to solve the issue.
The first step is to make sure your Type Palettes are clean.  It sounds like you have done this.  Once you have done this, one way to prevent accidental type propogation is to make the files Read Only.  This will make it more difficult to "infect" these files, since you can't overwrite them.  There are also some other files that are loaded automatically, such as the FrontEndCallbacks sequence, and your Process Model.  Make sure all of these files are clean.  If you can start TestStand, and observe all the types are at the proper value, you probably have done this correctly.
The next step is to find the source of the problem.  If you are ever prompted to save your Type Palette files, this usually means that you have opened a file that has a newer version of the Type than you want.  If you know which file(s) you opened, this will help you track down the source of the problem.  One trick that you can do is to change the version of the incorrect type to 0.  Save the sequence file causing the problem, but not the type palettes or Process Model.  If you shut down TestStand, then start it back up, the correct version of the Type should be loaded in your sequence file.  Save the file again.
If you know that a particular version number is incorrect, you can always search in files for the text (for example, if you know you have version 3.0.0.12374 somewhere, search for that text in Windows Explorer).  It should give you a list of any file that uses that type.  This will help you narrow it down.  I still recommend you revert any changes by going through the Sequence Editor, rather than manually editing the files in a text editor.
For others that run into this issue, the Type Differ, located in NI Labs at http://www.ni.com/labs under the TestStand Large Application Toolkit, will help solve these issues.  In the future we are looking at other solutions to solve unwanted type propogation as well.

    Dear All,

    Murthy Nandan
    91-93238-03769

    Hi Murthy,
This is only possible by implementing a BAdI as shown below
    WFRM_DET_ORDER_TYPE - Txn code is SE18
Name of the interface is - IF_EX_WFRM_DET_ORDER_TYPE
This Business Add-In (BAdI) allows you to use your own customer-defined order type in collective purchase orders.
You normally use the document type that is used for the relevant plant in Purchasing Customizing as the default order type for creating a collective purchase order. Should you use an order type that is different to the default order type, you can use this Business Add-In to define and assign your own order type.
When you create the collective purchase order (transaction WF10), the BAdI is called immediately after the standard document type stored in Customizing has been defined. You can then change this standard document type in the BAdI.
Subsequently, no further checks are carried out on the order type that is returned from the BAdI. For example, there is no check on whether the order type is even allowed to be used in the current process. The system tries to create the purchase order with this order type. If the document type is not allowed, then the system terminates the purchase order generation and you will receive an error message.
    Standard settings
In the standard system the BAdI is not activated and there is no default coding.
The BAdI cannot be used more than once and is not filter-dependent.
For more information on BAdI ,please refer to SAP help document
    Hope it helps
