Changing deployment ID when changing to master license file

We are using HFM 9.2.0 and am having license server problems due to duplicate users in the database. Can anybody tell me what I would need to do to repleace our existing license file with the master license file? I know the Deployment ID will need to be changed but I can't find out where in the system this id will need to be changed.
Any help is appreciated.

Believe it or not, I am replacing an expired license with the master license file on a 9.2 installation. Go figure...
Anyway, I have searched for docs on what needs to be reconfigured and how after replacing the old file and have come up empty. Have run config tool to update Deployment id for both Essbase and Planning but still getting error message in Planning indicating an issue with the license and when opening HBR rules, that it cannot connect to Essbase due to licensing issue. Tried re-registering with Shared Services for both Planning and Essbase, still getting the same errors and log files are not providing much by way of clues.
Other info: License server logs shows no errors. All apps starting successfully.
Does anyone have a doc or experience with this that they can share with me? Do I need to deregister apps? Redeploy the app servers?

There are no virus for an iphone unless it is jailbroken.
For the message - close out of the app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of the app.
Then do a reset, no data loss. Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.
this reset, might help with your other issues too.

Hence I included the <ejb-ref> element in the deployment descriptor of the entity bean. But I am getting the deployment error that "the bundle does not contain the bean name". I tried to change the <ejb-name> value (within the <ejb-ref> element) to the JNDI name of the EJB I am referring to, and also added the <ejb-link> tag specifying the location of the JAR file that has the EJB. None of the attempts worked.
Can someone help me out on how I am supposed to go about when I have several ejb-jar files as opposed to a single one? I am deploying my app on Sun ONE AS 7.0.

It would help if you could post the relevant snippets of your
ejb-jar.xml. In general, you definitely shouldn't use jndi-name
for any of the linking information. jndi-name is not part of the
standard deployment descriptor. The syntax for the ejb-link is
[ejb-jar uri]#ejb-name

Change default.master creates a mess

Guys, I appreciate your thoughts and help in advanced.
What I'm trying to accomplish here is to change the master page file for some SharePoint pages to a different .master
file. I'm using SharePoint Designer 2010 to customize SharePoint 2010.
Here are the steps that I did:
1. Went to _catalogs/masterpage/Forms/AllItems.aspx and downloaded
default.master page.
2. Renamed the default.master to hes.master (Note:
I haven't changed anything in the file, but the renaming)
3. Uploaded the file back to _catalogs/masterpage/Forms/AllItems.aspx
4. Went to SharePoint designer and opened the page I wanted to change the master page and found this declaration at the top of the page
MasterPageFile="~masterurl/default.master"
5. I changed it to be
MasterPageFile="~masterurl/hes.master"
When I did that I hoped that it will pick the new .master page but instead the designer gave me an error saying that the master page cannot be loaded and it offered an option to locate a proper master page file
6. So I used the SharePoint option 'Attach a different Master Page' and I browsed the new master page (hes.master)
7. This should suppose to attach the same master page (since it is only a copy of the
default.master)
8. The master page appeared BUT the structure is so messed up and not all the styles as they should be.
9. I noticed that the new value for the property MasterPageFile is now like this:
MasterPageFile="../../_catalogs/masterpage/hes.master"
Now I have these questions:
1. How can I fix this issue? and if possible someone can explain why did this happen?
2. What is '~masterurl' that is in MasterPageFile
property? and why SharePoint designer wasn't able to locate the file since both .master files were in the same location? and Why the value completely changed to something looks like a relative path instead of using the variable '~masterurl'?

Hi Himyar,
~masterurl/default.master---> means it will take master page which is set by you as "set as default"
~masterurl/custom.master---> means it will take master page which is set by you as "set as custom"
So above file path doesn't locate physical path of any masterpage it is just a notation of which kind of master page is applied to your page.
because of this only you are seeing different path like below:
MasterPageFile="../../_catalogs/masterpage/hes.master"
you just set your custom master page as custom by clicking "set as custom" tab in designer and change url in your desired page like
~masterurl/custom.master

The License file is Improperly Signed

Updating our volume license aggreement with our new license returns the error message:
Error installing the license file:
File name.lic
Reason: The license file is improperly signed.
We are running on Windows2000 server because it is believed that VLM 1.0 is not supported on Windows2003.
We would like to
A: get our license installed properly
B: If the VLM is supported on Windows2003, transfer our VLM to the 2003 server.

First of all, the reason why you would be receiving this error is most likely due to modification of the license file. Only a few fields can you change within the license file without it needing to be resigned (such as port, vendor nilm, etc). The sign is what is used for authenticity of the license file.
Secondly, VLM 2.0 and 2.1 are supported in Windows 2003 Server. To get a new license file for a different server, email [email protected] with your server name, volume serial number (for Windows drive), and contract number, specifying VLM 2.1. With this information, they should be able to generate a new license file for you.
Additionally, if you have additional technical questions, I would encourage you to go to ni.com/ask (since the forums are typically more for development products moreso than license management software).

I don't think Finder does this (I've tried).
iTunes does though. Where you can set artwork or the "poster frame"...
This may not be what you want but if it helps, I know 2 ways do this is
Open the video in QuicktimePlayer7 | View | Set Poster Frame (even then, you might need to save it as .mov (ie in a 'mov container').
Drag the file into iTunes and set the artwork (as in http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/adding-album-cover-art-or-images-in-itunes .html)
From there, iTunes will use that frame as the "poster frame" ie the photo/frame that shows when you browse your videos. Which is what you want, but limited to iTunes.
When I do either of these above, the frame I set does not show when exploring files in "Finder" (or in the other Explorer tool I use called "Pathfinder").
So it maybe, that exactly what you want, is not possible.

Master-detail: check changes in detail when navigation in master

I have a master and a detail block, changes in detail block can only be made in a non-database-field.
For saving a procedure do_save is called where values from non-database-fields are calculated and then put into database field.
For realizing that any changes where made I created another non-database-field in a control block which is set to 1 in when-validate-item-trigger of detail.non-database-field.
When closing the form I simply check the status of my control.item und if necessary call the dó_save procedure.
I now want to have same functionality when navigating through master-block, for example with key-down.
I tried to use the master on_populate_detail trigger:

How do I change my master password when the current password is to press enter (with nothing in the password blank)?

Whenever I try and change my master password I can not manage to. I got a new hard drive and the person at the apple store told me that the password was to just press enter (with nothing in password blank), and that I would be able to change it. Everytime I try and change the master password it says, "incorrect password" under the current master password blank. It has been awhile since then and I have moved so I can not go back there and get them to figure it out. So the question is, Is there anyway to change it without wiping my entire hard drive and starting over?

Master-detail: detail field not displayed after changed by master field

I want to use the Depends on item with Clear/refresh value functionality in a master detail situation. Within the same group it is no problem to use the setter method of a field to change a second field and then displaying this new value. But in the detail group, I can not select items from the master group as a depends on item.
In the setter of the master field, the value in a field for each row in the detail (table layout) is updated. The only problem is that this updated value is not displayed, the old value doesn't change. When saving the changes, the displayed value is committed to the database. When de updated field is not displayed at all, the correct value is saved, so I know the detail field is updated.
How can I make sure the displayed value in the detail is displayed after changeing a master field? I already gave the detail field the correct partial trigger.

I guese you don;t see the changed value when you display the detail item because after the depends on item update changed the detail item, JSF procesing continues and the detail table changes are sent to the server which will override again the detail item attriibute, resetting it to the old, still displayed value.
So, the trick is to get PPR working. Make sure the partialTYriggers property of the detail item is set to the value of the id property of the master item. If it still doesn't work, try setting the partial triggers property on the table, instead of the individual item.

Can't change the master page after upgrading to SharePoint 2013.

After upgrading our farm to SharePoint 2013 we are having trouble changing the master page for sites that don't have sub-sites. We are still using the v4 UI version, and that appears to be what is causing the problem. The error we get when going to /_layouts/ChangeSiteMasterPage.aspx
is:

Thanks Mike - Could you please share what is your next step then? I also have custom master pages and layout but I am going to make new master page and layout in 2013 as we need to change the existing branding too. so, i upgrade the site collection. I understand
the Look and Feel will not persist after the upgrade but I am concern that at least the page should show the content on the page after the upgrade. The page had Calendar webppart on it but after the upgrade it is coming blank.
any suggestion?

Maybe some one else can pipe up with a solution, but this would literally take 2 seconds to do for a new project. And you can create a "template project" that includes this "text" clip. Save this project and then to a get info and check "stationary pad." When you double click on this file, fcp will open with a copy of this project and you just need to do a save as.
I've been working with computer editing systems for longer than i can remember and at a certain point you just have to adapt your workflow to the limitations of the software.

Control to create or change material master

I want to let a group person to create or change material maters only with material group 16. I found an auth. obj. M_MATE_WGR, and set activity as *, while activity goups as 16. But the nothing happened when I change a material with material group 17. It seems this auth. obj. is not checked while change material master. Does any idea for this case? How to let the system check this auth. obj.?

Adding to what Sudipta has said, you can also use the workbook technique for accomplishing these type of changes. That way you can achieve all hover text changes in one shot across all MA tabs.
The 2 main tabs in the wokbook to be changed are: 'Localized Resource' and 'UI overrides' tab.
As an example, suppose you want to add the following text for Master Agreement External Category field:
"This field is a classification hierarchy to describe the products or services of the event and/or agreement."
So in the Localized resource tab, fill out the following:
BUNDLE: custom
RESOURCE_ID: xxx
RESOURCE_KIND: APP_TEXT
DEFAULT_VALUE: This field is a classification hierarchy to describe the products or services of the event and/or agreement.
Then refer the same attributes in the UI Overrides tab:
UI_ID: contracts.agreement.ui.buyside.default
FIELD: EXT_CAT
ATTRIBUTE: Description
VALUE: Same as Resource ID used in localized resource (xxx above)
