Changing DOWNLOAD file

Can anybody tell me how I change the location of downloads away from DOWNLOADS file? to DESKTOP.

From your Safari menu, choose Preferences >> General >> Save downloaded files to >> change from Download files to Other >>Desktop.

I want to change the download file location of my safari from the 'default downloads' into my external hard drive. But whenever I tried to change the download location, my external hard drive won't show up under option 'devices' even though it is inserted properly to its usb port. I also have it formatted to exFAT. Previoiusly, I was able to change the download file locations of my Safari to my different external hard drives but now Safari won't let me.
Here's a pic of how I tried to change the file location. But like I said, my external hard drive won't show up in the device option Help please?

List of downloads is blank after I changed the file to save to. How can I restore the list of downloads?

I have changed the file to save to back to the original one as well.

Try opening the problem files using a text editor or file viewer to see what the first few bytes contain. All valid FM binary files for FM 11 will contain <MakerFile 11.0> in the first bytes of the file.
When updating books, it's sometimes better to just to create a new book file and add the files to that.
When renaming files in a book, changes at the system level will break any links/cross-references between files, so it's always best to use the Rename option in the Book file to change FM file names. This will maintain the correct linkages.

My C drive is 19.5 GB. xp sp3 took 5.05 GB.Firefox also installed here . There's no room for new downloaded files.So I changed the save to option in another drive. Still when downloading large files 'low disk space' message shown.

in options under the "general" tab change the download folder,if that does not help change the option to "ask every time".I recommended to use DAP to download your files its great and accelerates your speed quite a lot.

How to change name of downloaded file by URLLink.acsm

When I browser my URLLink.acsm:
"http://host:8080/fulfillment/URLLink.acsm?action=...."
it download a file named "URLLink.ascm". How can I change that file name to "title.acsm" insteed of "URLLink.ascm"?
For example: "ShakespearInLove.acsm".

I tried to change the filename inside the <dc:title> tag.
However this is the filename on the server where you download your eBook.
Does anyone know an "<output-tag>" that lets the user determine the filename?

I don't think this is an iCloud issue- it is the latest release of Safari. Firefox attachments are still correctly downloaded.
This needs some interest from Apple techs.

When downloading files the file name changes name?

When I download files from yahoo email account the file name changes from actual name to securedownlad.doc. Why is this happening and how do I stop it? Is it an email client issue?
Example:
Original file name in email to download is called GeorgiaTechstinks.doc
when downloaded the dl box pops up and file name has changed to securedownload.doc.
I have to go and manually change file name back to GeorgiaTechstinks.doc

Change of PO Download File Name from SUSDOC.zip

Hello All,
In SRM-SUS when downloading the files, I want to change the name from SUSDOC.zip to the PO number.zip.
The BADI BBP_SUS_DOWNLD_FILES can be used to change the name of the files inside the SUSDOC.ZIP file(I guess)
Any idea to do the name change for the zip file?

Are you trying to (a) change the file name but continue to use the same file or (b) make a copy of the original file and change the name of the new file?
In Adobe Reader for iOS 11.3.0 (the latest version as of May 24, 2014),
Go to the Reader home screen.
Tap Documents in the left pane.
Tap Edit in the upper right corner.
Select the file that you want to (a) rename or (b) duplicate.
Tap (a) the Rename icon
or (b) the Duplicate/Move icon and select Duplicate from the menu.
(b) Optionally, rename the duplicated file by repeating Steps 3-5.
Tap Edit in the upper right corner again.
Select the file that you want to save to Acrobat.com.
Tap the following icon and select Save to Acrobat.com

Downloading file changes file extension?

Recently when downloading video files I have noticed the instead of the file being called test.mp4, firefox has decided to change the file to %test,mp4%27 . I have not made any changes to my media pc in anyway, I am sure a firefox or windows update has been pushed but I do not recall specifically because those are automatic. I checked in IE just to verify and the downloads work fine there. Same for Chrome. I also checked different sources as well and the same result. Anyone know why this is happening?

Try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

There isn't a feature in Adobe Send for setting and end-date for a file's availability. At any time, you can Unshare the file, however.

Recently I needed to save the file to Desktop but faile to unclick 'do this for all files in future' box. Now I cannot download files directly into MS Money and it goes straight to 'save file'. In our development system it doesn't occur, in one of our clients it doesn't occur, but in two (different) clients it does.
We have some pages that let the user download some text files (with width fixed columns). In one of this pages the file is being showed by the browser 'inline' like an html file, but to generate this file we use a procedure like this:

I debug our procedure inserting the header generated in a table an it's generating correct, with all the options we wanted, i looked around for this issue but didn't find anything. It seems related to OHS, but all OHS (working or not) are configured the same way.
OHS Error LOG's don't have any information about.

This is a serious issue we can lost some clients to this....

In finder, or say anything else such as downloaded files, I have to push open with in order to open the file. If I simply double-click on a document from finder, it does not open.

Hey guys. I have this problem where when I try to open say a document from finder, I have to push "open with."
Simply double-clicking does not work. I would greatly appreciate it if anybody could help.
Another unrelated problem is that when I push to open itunes, it says that it is on a locked disk.

Select a particular download file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Open With section choose the desired default application from the dropdown menu then click on the Change All button.
For .dmg files use DiskImageMounter (System/Library/CoreServices/ folder.)
For .zip files use Archiver - same folder as above - or download TheArchiver - MacUpdate or CNET Downloads.
