Changing e-mail IDs- can no longer authorize music to my computer

When I changed e-mail accounts, I also changed my Apple ID to reflect the new account. Now, music that I purchased under the old ID will not play. iTunes keeps asking me to authorize my computer - I do, iTunes store OKs it. Then I click "play" on the song, and the whole cycle starts up again!
I have tried authorizing under the old ID, but just get a message that the ID is not recognized.
What do I do about this? Anyone have an idea?

  • Changed email on account, can no longer authorize to play?

    I have a bunch of music, ringtones, TV shows, movies... stuff that I purchased that I can't authorize. All of these items were purchased with the same account I'm still using now. The difference is that I've changed my email address. I don't have the original email address from when I made those purchases and I'm unable to authorize them. I can see that when I view info on one of these purchases the "Account Name: " has my old email address... not my iTunes or Apple account. So, if I'm authorizing my iTunes using my new email none of these older purchases will work.
    I'm really curious how to fix this. I've got quite a few purchases from years back that I'd like access to, but I can't authorize using my new email/iTunes or my old email (the one used for the original purchases). I think I've only ever had 1 apple id, I've only changed the email address associated with it.
    Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Okay, nevermind. It turns out I have 2 different Apple Ids. typing "i think" made me think and that other email address that was changed was associated to a different apple id. Putting in my new email for those older purchases works to authorize them. Boy, it'd be nice to merge Ids now.

    This has been a problem since the update to ios7. How can I resolve this issue? I've tried resets, and I've tried unsyncing, resyncing and so forth. It always gets stuck on 'waiting for changes to be applied'. This is incredibly frustrating. I have built my music library over many years, and I spent a lot of money on this ipod. I currently have Windows XP and an Ipod fiifth gen, updated to the most recent update. My itunes is also updated to the most recent update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Ah yes school boy error there out of frustration and discontent..
    My issue is with music/apps/films etc not downloading from iTunes / App Store.
    They initially fail and message is displayed stating unable to download / purchase at this time, yet if I retry it says I've already purchased (?) or alternatively I go to the purchased section and there they are waiting with the cloud symbol..
    However some items get frozen in the download window and cannot be retried or deleted. Message appears stating to tap to retry, but even if you stole every bath and sink in the uk you'd still not have enough taps.
    I post here as the iTunes guys are useless in there 'help' and have only advised posting here or phoning apple, at my expense, to explain a problem that could be rectified by forwarding my original email to a techie. However the tech team apparently don't have an email address as they're from ye olde Middle Ages..!
    Anyways I digress.
    So I tried sync to pc, but instead of showing the file as ready to listen/use/view, the iCloud symbol shows and I'm back to square one as the item is unable to download..
    At frustration station waiting for a train from pain...
    All my software is up to date, and had all worked fine prior to the last big iOS update that resulted in all the changes in display and dismay.

    No, I get my mail on my computer, not on a website. I used to be able to see the information but in sorting another issue I must have changed a setting or something. I have gone to View. Under Message Attributes most things are ticked but many of them are not bold print i.e. they are pale grey. I don't know how to activate them again.

    Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if you can then update the app.
    If you do delete the app then you should be able to re-download your ibook purchases via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the app. But in case some of them are no longer available in the store and/or you have PDFs or epubs in it, then you could first connect it to your computer's iTunes and do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) which should copy them over to the Books part of your iTunes library so that you have your own copy of them and can sync them back (even though they aren't iTunes purchases it should also copy over any PDFs or epubs that you have in the iBooks app)

    You have to swipe from right to left to delete mail.
    In the settings, accessibility you can make fonts bolder, that helps a bit.
    THe yellow paper...sorry, no tweak for that unless you find a different notes app to use.

  • When I want to attach a photo to my e-mail I can no longer find my iPhoto library using open - media - photos.

    So starting recently (last couple of months) when I want to attach a photo to my e-mail I can no longer find my iPhoto library using open - media - photos.  There's nothing there, it's just completely blank, when in the past my whole iPhoto library would show up with thumbnails and I could just choose the pic to attach.  Now I have to drag the photos I want from iPhoto onto the desktop and then I can find them there to attach to my e-mail.  How can I get my iPhoto library to show back up the simple way when I want to attach photos?  I've been having this problem attaching photos in hotmail or yahoo. 

    It should be an attachment.  Your Mac just displays a preview of certain attachments (such as .pdfs) in the body of the message.  A PC, for example, will see it as an attached file rather than a preview.
    You can save the attachment on your Mac by Control-clicking on it and selecting Save Attachment.

    if it's an appletv 1g then you should go to settings on your appletv and remove the bind with the computer
    and then set it up again
    if it's the small black appletv then you don't pair them from itunes you only use it as airplay speaker and the atv access the itunes shared lib

    Who is your email provider? Have you set up your account manually or was it set up automatically?

    If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
    1. Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
    2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
    3. Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
    4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
    Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than two authorized computers. If you need assistance on using this feature, please contact iTunes Store support via email (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/).

I just don't understand why I still can't download new videos as I've deleted the software I installed and I've changed my camera settings back to what they were before when I could download into iPhoto. I perhaps should have mentioned it's iPhoto '08 version 7.1.5. Is there any way of putting iPhoto back as the "default download and view" programme?
    It could be as simple as longer (larger) videos - iPhoto does not always handle larger video files well

    iPhoto is not a download and view program - it is a photo management database program that imports photos - Image Capture is a download program - Preview is a view program
    The default program to download your photos is set in the preference panel of either iPhoto or image capture
