Changing email address on apple ID

Hi can anyone help me please, I recently changed my email address and changed it on my apple ID but my IPad doesn't recognise my new address on IBooks and won't let me purchase anything, I've checked with Apple and my new email and password are verified so how do I get it changed on IBooks?

You may also try signing in on a computer, then sync your device. While your device is connected to the computer, sign in on the device using the updated Apple ID.

I recently changed the email address associated with my Apple ID, so now I sign in to the iTunes store with the new email address. iTunes shows me in the Library that there are a bunch of app updates available. However, when I click on the arrow next to the '16 updates available' link, it takes me to the store view which informs me 'No updates are currently available. To check updates for another account, sign in with that account.' I don't have another account and I think this is happening because I changed the email address. Is there a way to clear this up, i.e. get the store to recognize the new email address with the old account info and apps?

Try changing your e-mail address back to see it iTunes is working properly. If that doesn't work, then at least you know you have a serious problem with the Apple Store.

Changing email address for Apple ID

My sister has a bit of a problem. She has an old email address associated with her itunes store account. She has since purchased a Mobile Me account and wants to use that as her Apple ID for iTunes but she doesn't want to lose her purchases. We tried editing her account info but she can't change the email address to the Mobile Me address because iTunes sees it as an already created Apple ID. Does anyone know a way to use the Mobile Me address and still have all of the purchased content from the old ID work with it?

I changed my email address and apple id a year ago, but i am not sure how to change my icloud acccount information so it meshes with all my apple devices which include: an original ipad, iphone 4s, and my macbook pro. I keep seeing this message, " I cloud unable to access the account ( my old email address) Review your account information in your settings. OR it asks me for my old email address password, which i do not remember!
I would apprecaite any assistance anyone can provide. Thank you!

Sign out of the iCloud account (In System Preferences>iCloud)
Then sign back in with the correct ID and password.

If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID and that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details and some other circumstances.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device. It may take a short while to remove the account.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Issue when changing primary email address of Apple ID

I consider this mail as bug report of how Apple handles multiple email addresses on Apple ID.
Pre setup:
Primary email: "email address"
Additional address: "email address 2"
Iphone installed with "email address" and
Steps to do on appleid web page:
1 - Change password (was forced)
2 - Remove "email address 2" from additional mail addresses list
3 - Change apple ID primary "email address" to -> "email address 2"
4 - Add "email address" to additional addresses list
Result:
Primary email: "email address 2"
Addidional address: "email address"
When you try use iPhone, it asks login to iCloud (correct behavior, password has been changed). But iPhone does not ask for login, it asks password for "email address".
If you try remove "email address" iCloud account, iPhone asks password for "email address" to remove "Find my phone". Device cannot be removed from iCloud web page so iPhone is "locked" to "email address", and this cannot be changed.
Alternative Apple ID "[email protected]", also listed on additional email addresses list. You CAN'T change alternate Apple ID, but you CAN remove "[email protected]" from additional mail list. This must be bug!
Another bug: You CAN'T select primary email address from 'additional mail addresses' list, you MUST remove address from list first, then you can change primary address to that removed address. You should able to use own verified address as primary apple id address.
Also removed addresses must be re-verified every time after removing.

I had a similar problem, which prevented me changing my personal data on iCloud/apple etc. I found the answer on the apple web-site, "appleid.apple.com".
This site lets you change your primary country, and so lets you use the app store.

If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPad by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad. If you created a new account then any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can download updates to its apps.

I changed my account nearly a year ago and everything was fine, then about a month ago if the phone is rebooted (iPhone4S) it is constantly prompting me for a password for the OLD email password which I do not remember. When this do try to reset , it resets my new apple id. When is occurs it renders my phone useless as I cannot access even my phone even if I have to call emergency if there is one. The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

the appleID is really meant as the handle that identify you it was not meant to be shared
but can see that people may want to do not buy apps more then once

Firstly, you need to change your details with Apple, Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > iTunes & App store, scroll down and tap your ID)
If you are using iMessages or FaceTime, you will also need to log out and into your ID there too.
