Changing Exchange OWA URL, and MX record

Hi all,
We are planning to change our Exchange OWA URL from "https://webmail.saigon.com" to "https://webmail.city.saigon.com"
My question is Do I need to do anything to the MX record? The Exchange server name and IP remain the same. Only the URL get changed for the internal, and external.

Thank you for your question.
If we want to change Exchange OWA URL from https://webmail.saigon.com into https://webmail.city.saigon.com for internal and external, we must modify the following items:
1. MX record
We could ask to our ISP for help.
2. Exchange certificates
We could remove the old exchange certificate and resign a new certificate for Exchange server.
3. Re-configure virtual directory URL (OWA,OAB,ECP.EWS,ActiveSync,Autodiscover)

With a single NIC deployment, you will only be able to use the web publishing feature of TMG for Exchange. This means be able to publishing OWA, Outlook Anywhere and ActiveSync.
Same URL for Internal and Public Internet
100 % you can have same URL for Both and belwo are the DNS changes you many need to do.
You need to create a Split Brain DNS
Create a New Primary DNS Zone with the same name as you public Domain
Add a A record and point that to internal IP address of the Exchanges server OWA
On the Public Internet Add A record pointing to Public IP address which is used on webpublishing

After upgrade exchange owa, ecp and outlook stop working

Yesterday I installed the updates that Microsoft had released. Unfortunate as it looks like OWA, ECP and Outlook stopped working after this installation. See picture for the updates were made.
What you are greeted by when besker OWA and ECP is a blank page. Is anyone had the same problem and knows how to fix this?
Or is there a way to back these updates?

Is there any update? Have the issue been resolved?
The updates are all for Windows server 2012 R2. What's your Exchange server version? Additionally, please check the following in IIS Manager:
a. In IIS manager > Default Web Site, make sure Anonymous Authentication is Enabled in Authentication.
b. Double-click SSL Settings, confirm that "Require SSL" is checked on the root of the default website.
c. Restart IIS service by running iisreset /noforce from a command prompt window.
If possible, please collect more event logs in Event Viewer for further analysis.

Change Exchange Rates

Hi Frnds,
Our FI Users are asking for Change exchange Rates authorization and the T code for that is OB08 -- as it is an IMG Settings transaction can we give to them , bcoz of this will it effect any where .
Or is there any other T code by which they can change that currency exchange rate ?

Exchange Out of Office URL and DNS

Hello Experts - I'm working on a way to have my ActiveSync users be able to seamlessly transition from outside the office to inside the office on an internal private wireless network. The problem is name resolution. Outside the office
they are using this address:
https://exchange.company.org/owa
Internally they are using this address:
https://internalservername.comain.local.owa
I had setup a DNS entry last week which allowed the external address to resolve to the internal address and that works except doing so breaks VPN users ability to set out of office messages. I investigated and found that Outlook uses a
URL to set the OOF messages which can be seen by holding control, clicking the Outlook 2010 icon, then selecting Test E-mail AutoConfiguration.
Is there a way out of this conundrum? I have two exchange servers setup in a DAG, I was thinking of changing the OOF URL to point to the second server who's name should resolve properly both internally and externally as its offsite but I wasn't positive
this will work. I'd appreciate any advice!

We can configure OOF URL by setting Exchange Web service:
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity "CAS_Server1\EWS (Default Web Site)" -InternalUrl
https://CAS2.domain.com/ews/exchange.asmx
Please run the command in EMS and see if it works.

Cannot connect to OWA after Exchange 2007 SP3 and Rollup 13 install.

I recommend you follow the steps below for troubleshooting:
1. Open IIS Manager, click Default Web Site -> Authentication, make sure that Anonymous Authentication and Windows Authentication are enabled.
2. Click Default Web Site -> SSL Settings, check "Require SSL" and click Ignore.
3. Click Default Web Site -> HTTP Redirect, check Redirect (enter your
https://URL), check "Only redirect" box and Status code Found 302.
4. Expand Server Configuration -> Client Access ->double click owa ->Authentication tab. Check the Basic Authentication and check the Use forms-based authentication button Logon Format: Domain\user name.

Exchange mail server 2010 client OWA URL is not opening in LAN

Hi everyone,
in my environment suddenly stopped OWA URL in LAN but it is opening in Local host server , i have checked all services is working fine , i did 2 time restart a server but still the same issues.
my network team also checked all firewall and Gateway he is saying all the port is open in LAN
DNS is configured locally and working fine regarding name resolution
my local ip is https://10.61.2.106/OWA
EXCHANGE server 2010
i am very frustrated with this issue last 4 hours kindly help us.

is working, your HTTPS (i.e.443) port is blocked.
If you can telnet 10.61.2.106 on 443
your OWA works fine.
Try to restart the server after switching
off firewall and removing antivirus from server.

Exchange rate is different between records in OB08 and records in document.

Hi Gurus,
The exchange rate is different between records in OB08 and records in calculated amount in line item. How does it happen? Not all of the documents in the same period has this problem.
For example, a document A created by FB05 on Jun 30 2010.
In OB08, the exchange rate is 6.80000. This rate was the same in the header of document A.
In the line item of doc A, I calculated the amount for line itme 1 and 2. Line itme 1 shows the exchange rate is 7.90000. Line item 2 shows the exchange rate is 16.0000. ( The exchange rate is not that exactly an interger. I put a similar exchange rate as an example.)
Could you please throw some light on these? Why some documents are okay but for some, the exchange rate is so different?
I just found that the exchange rate of some of the document line item calculated is from another currency. It shows in the line item (in question) button "More Data". Shall I know how the exchange rate was got from another currency exchange rate?

Issue solved by below solution:
Existing:
      append lines of vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize to e_t_data.
      delete vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize.
    else.
      append lines of vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize to e_t_data.
      delete vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize.
New:
      append lines of vit_final to e_t_data.
      delete vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize.
    else.
      append lines of vit_final to e_t_data.
      delete vit_final to s_s_if-maxsize.

Is there a way to remove the changes to the URL Bar, specifically the status information and the target URL?

To begin, I utterly despise the changes to the URL Bar and the removal of the Status bar. In order to stay with the latest version of Firefox I am attempting to recreate the look and feel as best I can.
I have already installed the Status-4-Evar extension. The only thing that remains is to remove the status information and the target URL from the bar.
Are there any settings in about:config that will allow me to make these changes?
EDIT: Status information can be removed by toggling. status4evar.statusInUrlBar. Still looking for a way to remove the target URL...

If you don't have access to your old email account and can't use security question authentication to reset your password, you'll have to do one of the following to turn off Find My iPhone so you can chang the iCloud account on your phone:
If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You should then be able to turn off Find My iPhone with your password. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back and change your primary email address and iCloud ID back to the way it was. You will then be able to go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current ID and password to reconnect to your iCloud account.

Change portal URL and port number

We are on EP 7.0 which is running on Solaris 5.10 and Oracle 10g.
Portal url is "http://hostname:50200/irj".
But we want to users to logon portal using "http://intranet" link.
How can we forwards portal default url to a different URL and port such as "http://intranet".
Steps should be followed in Visual Admin& Config Tool or in the Solaris system , in the network part?

The link pointed to how to change the default page of the Java engine to launch the portal. The example redirects to /irj/portal/anonymous - you just want to make it /irj/portal...
