Changing Eye Color

I'm guessing that one changes color in Color of course but in this case I have an actress who has "blue" eyes and for at least one scene we need those eyes to be real looking brown ones.
Anyone ever done this? If so, how do you go about doing it? Someone said After Effects but I'm not buying a program and go through some lengthily learning curve to do this one scene change.

Eye Color adjustment brush question

On the adjustment brush when I am using it to change eye color it doesn't change the color at all. I want to change it completely not just lighten it or give it a different tint or hue.
I go to the adjustment brush, turn the saturation all the way down, and then select a color that stands out so that I will be able to tell what I am painting. When I select the color it shows it in the small window in the bottom right side of the adjustment brush "window" thing. The problem is that when I paint it, it doesn't show up at all, it barely even makes a difference no matter which color I select. How do I make it change drastically and completely? Did I accidentally tamper with the settings?
Also, when I use the "plus" and "minus" keys on the keyboard it changes clarity instead of exposure, How do I change it back to exposure?

Check your Flow setting on the brush (the amount per stroke)
and your Density setting (the limit to how much of your effect (color in your case) settings. If either are very low (under 30 for example) you will have a tough time bulding up paint.

Suppose I have a close up picture of someones face. Lets say their eye color ir brown.
can iphoto editing change the color of their eye? Like how photoshop can?
or can it even lighten the color of the eyes

You might be able to do a little of that with the free image editor Seashore. I did a quick test and could re-color small areas but it will take a lot of tweaking and trial and error to get it right. Worth a try maybe.

I need to change the color of the font in my Bookmark Toolbar. Unable to read all bookmarks.

No longer have a question about editing the Bookmarks Toolbar. I may be dense, but I have not discovered how I may change the text (font) color when using View, Bookmarks, Custom. I see the capability to choose to use text and image, but not to change the color of the text. The ability to "bold" the text would probably be sufficient. I will revisit the Getting Started page and select other background colors to try and alleviate the problem. Persona or thema colors conflict with black text (for my older eyes - I have a vision problem.).

You can adjust the values or leave out things that you do not want to change.

In Windows 7 the color of the back and forward page arrow is blue.
On my desktop computer using Windows XP the color of the back and forward page arrow is green. This is much easier on my eyes.

Firefox on Windows XP uses a different default theme than Firefox on Vista & 7. Try using the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7119/ XP on Vista] theme, this should replicate the XP theme on Windows 7.

This means that there is no way to change the "general background" color via the options panel, but you have to use the same background color of one of the predefined color schemes.
This seems to me a bug, but probably it's not considered high priority, so it will not be fixed for the time being.
I would like to stress the fact that being able to change the color scheme of the development environment that you use every day about 8 hours a day can make quite a difference on your eyes at the end of the day.

Changing the Color of an Object in Elements 4.0

Neither of the two methods documented in Elements 4.0 to change the color of an object seem to work on my object. It is a fleur-de-lis that I extracted from a PDF an artist made for me some time ago. It's now black and I want to make it gold. What am I doing wrong?

Sample the gold color you want and have it as the foreground color chip. Add a solid color adjustment layer over your black and white design. In the Effects panel, I select the color solids, we only have green and a few colors. I chose the green one as the background.
Then I wanna choose my own color by changing the color of the green but my eyes are blind, I cannot find where the selection are ?

How do I change the color of the Firefox button?

I find the solid orange of the Firefox Button a constant distraction in the corner of my eye. I'd like to change the color of the button--if it were the same color as the the tabs, that would be perfect. I like the general layout of Firefox 4, but that solid orange is very annoying to me.

It is not straight forward but can be done. You can do this by adding code/scripts to a file called [http://kb.mozillazine.org/UserChrome.css userChrome.css] to change the appearance of the button. The Stylish add-on makes it easier to make the changes, the latest version of Stylish is available from http://forum.userstyles.org/discussion/24534/stylish-for-firefox-1.1b4

Cannot change background color or boxes around IMs...

After how many complaints of not being able to change the color of the background will you listen? Many of us use the computer all day and your colors HURT our eyes. And you still do not listen and allow us to change them.
You also have stupid boxes around the messages that take up a lot of space for no reason and prevents me from having more than a few lines of text on the screen. Again, not customizable.
I've had it with Skype and their ignoring of customers. I am getting rid of Skype and recommending the companies that I deal with to do the same.

That's normal. The drop-down just shows patterns - choose a pattern then select the colour.

Changing hair color

How would one go about changing hair color? I suspect this involves some conbination of adjusting a layer, then using a combination of brush tools, but I haven't a clue on the specific sequence of steps.

Have a look at #22 "To Blonde"...PDF tutorial and a set of Blonde gradients available to download. It uses gradient Maps to recolor hair.
Edit: There's also a set of Shanzcan Hair color gradients (assorted hair colors) available for download. I
think they are on the Adobe Exchange. Then again, you could make your own gradients using the hair color charts recommended earlier. (If those just came on a jpeg instead of a swatch set, you can use the eye dropper tool to make yourself a set of natural skin tone/hair color swatches.)
Also have a look at #33..."Changing Hair-The Root Treatment". This one is airbrushing color on a blank layer set to softlight blend mode.
FWIW, Some tutorials recommend Soft Light blend mode...so cycle between blend modes to see what looks best on your image.
