Changing Field Summary

Hi,
I want to change the output of the "Field Summary". I found everything to edit the "Field Details" (FieldWriterImpl.java), but that does not work for the "Field Summary".
Can anybody tell me, where the Summary tables are created?

I finaly found it.
The output for the Return-Type Coloumn is mad in the AbstractMemberWriter Class. The called Method is:
printModifierAndType(ProgramElementDoc member, Type type)
Here you can change the output as you like it.

Hi experts,
In Oracle HRMS, we have the function "Date Track History" in People/assignment. In the summary window of Date Track history, we have column which is named "Change Field Summary". For reporting purpose, I am looking for the view/function/package/... which can show type of data.
For example:
- If I give certain assignment number/assignment id, view/function can return "Birth Date, Full Name, Known As" in "Change Field Summary".

Thanks for reponse.
The view PER_ASSIGNMENT_HISTORY_VIEW shows data changes in columns, it is similiar with HRFV_PERSON_ASSIGNMENT_HISTORY view. However It does not show us which columns were changed like in "Date track history change field summary" window. I don't have access to Unix server, so that I can't do the trace stuff.

Assignment Date Track History-Changed Field Summary

Hi all,
We have Oracle HR 11.5.7 FP.G.
In the HRMS there is a for the Employee's Assignment Date Track History showing the Changed Field Summary.
We want to specify the exact field(s) changed in Assignment for a period using SQL or Discoverer for Reporting Purposes.
Does anyone have any sample coding or idea on how to perform this?That is to specify exactly what fields changed in an assignment change.
What I can think of is to compare values but I'm not sure how I can get the desired result.
I would appreciate any feedback.

To meet you're requirement: changes per person during a period
- done this before using audit trail, be aware that the reports that comes out standard, does not resemble anything a HR user can read. Quite often it says this ID has change to that ID. Building a reports that changes this into something meaning full for a HR/Payroll person does require a considerable effort.
- using the change event log (system extract) or the retro notification report (payroll) will give you're results in a better format. Problem you may encounter here, is that not all entities are available (by default). You may have to add some dynamic triggers.

We also have a similar requirement. Where user like to have a report kind of and pass the employee number/assignmen number to see the change history. They would also like to see the "Change Field Summary".
Does any one know what is the quickest way to achieve this.

Hi Avinash,
Unfortunately, there is no easy way of achieving this requirement..The change field summary is being determined dynamically by the form based on data supplied by the underlying view. The procedure 'dth_set_change_list' compares each record in the data set with the preceding one to determine if any column value has changed. The changes are grouped by the date of change, concatenated and then listed. Hope it helps !

What are the FIELD SUMMARY in the API

I am kind of newbie to java. I was looking at the API and found that there was the class, methods for the class and the FIELDS.
For example if we take String
FIELD SUMMARY has one entry called CASE_INSENSITIVE_ORDER
What does this FIELD SUMMARY mean.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Fields are member variables of a class.
You can access to the field by using SomeClass.FieldName provided your class has the access right.
However, field access is not recommended in OOP design, find or create its get/set method instead.

In sets (t-code GS01-04): How to change Field name

HI,
I have created sets for rule in validation by t-code GS01. Where I have given Tbale name BSEG and Field name KOSTL(Cost Center No). Now, I want to change field name SAKNR (GL NO) instead of cost center. When I am trying to change field name t-code GS02, there is field name is in display mode and no way to change it.
As I have lot of entries in each set, so that creation of new sets is very hard job again. Further when I trying to create new sets by reference it didnt change the table name and field name.
Please provide me a solution.

Hope it is not possible, logically total field is changing and the dependent entrie will not stay as it is. I don't think this is possible.
Eventhough the values are same but the fields are different.

Changing Field Labels of module pool screen dynamically

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me how to change field label of text field in dialog screen dynamically.
The Screen/Transaction is standard one.
I have created a Enhancement point for this change in one of PBO module's subroutine for this screen.
This Field label is defined as a 'Text' field only. We can't change it any more as it is standard one.
Can anybody tell me the solution for the same.
I have to change this label value as per some validations and its corresponding text field value will remain as is.

Hi Jaya,
You can change the label on the screen directly - BUT this would be a modification.
There is a way to change field labels without a modification, but that has to be done on the data element level.
For that just find out the data element that is referenced and create a Text Enhancement for that Data Element which is NOT a modification.
- Goto transaction CMOD
- Choose Menu 'Goto'
- 'Text Enhancements'
- 'Keywords'
- 'Change'
- Put in the data Element Name and confirm
- You'll have the possibility to change the Label texts for
     Short, Medium and Long Field Label
     Heading
     Short Description
- Make your Changes and save
- Done
Where ever that data element is referenced you'll see your own text.

Let me make sure u r working with table control.
First u have to create a event(VALIDATE) to do the validation.
Inside the event,
1. First get the current index where user has pointed the curson
2. Once u get the index read the internal table with index value.
3. Now u can compare the col1 and col2 values and populate the error message.

lo_elt = wdevent->get_context_element( name = 'CONTEXT_ELEMENT' ).

Buyer not able to change fields of SC in sourcing cockpit in SRM 7.0

We are on SRM 7.0 , SP 07 . We are in classic mode.
Buyer is not able to change fields of shopping cart in sourcing cockpit like delivery date and quantity . He is able to add supplier and create PO . Even when he creates draft PO , he is not able to edit the fields of shopping cart like delivery date and quantity. Is it a standard Bug , is their any OSS SAP Note for this

As per SAP Standard BUYER can only vendor and Enter price and create a follow on document.
Buyer does not have a control to edit other data.
Buyer wants to they can do it in ME21N ..PO
not in the shopping cart

Double click on it,
field content will change to editable mode...
change the content and hit ENTER.
