Changing Filename for CUTEPDF Printer

Hi,
Does anyone know how we can change the naming convention for filename in CUTEPDF SAVE dialog box?
Our basis has set up device type 'PDF1' in SPAD and tie this to output device 'XX_PDF'. When we go to VA02 to issue output, if we set the print parameter output device 'XX_PDF', and print immediately, a pop up message box to save the PDF file will be displayed. The filename was defaulted <USER NAME>_<JOB SPOOL NAME>.
Our requirement is to display sales order number instead of spool id.
Is this possible to change via print program or any SAP setting we can do to change the naming convention of the PDF default file name?
Kindly help.

Hi @zipsoutlaw ,
I see that you are having issues with connecting the mobile devices.  I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
Do you have the Envy 4500?  How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Please clarify what I can help you with.
Is the password that you need for the Wireless Direct or the Network Password to connect the mobile devices?
I wasn't sure if you meant you can print from the computer by a USB connection or the network.
Is the computer still setup on the wireless network?
If you need to find the password on the computer to connect the mobile devices, you can get that information from here.
I Can't Find the WEP or WPA Key or Password for My Wireless Network.
I can send you a password reset for the printer, if that is what you need.
Just let me know.
Have a great day!

  • How do I change filename for single-image HTML pages in web gallery for LR 3

    Hi,
I would like to change the default filename for the HTML pages produced by Lightroom 3 in the web gallery. Specifically, I would like to remove the string "_large" from the HTML filename, so it corresponds exactly to the image filename.
Specifically, the URL by default is like this:
    http://www.mysite.com/content/_c_EMT2146_large.html
and I would like it to be like this
    http://www.mysite.com/content/_c_EMT2146.html
I assume there is some way to make this change using the template editors, but I can't figure it out.
    thanks,
    James Riemermann

Turns out there's a fairly easy way to change that on Windows, but I can't figure out an equivalent on a Mac, which is where the need is. On windows, I can edit (after backing up) the following two config files:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6\Shared\webengines\default_html.lrwebengine\grid.html
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6\Shared\webengines\default_html.lrwebengine\manifest.lrweb
In which the "_large" string is appended and can be removed, following which the gallery works exactly as I would hope.
But I can't find the equivalent files on the Mac, though I would assume they exist.

  • Change styles for ebook/print

I have my book pasted up in InDesign, and I can easily output to PDF or EPUB from the book window. Great. However, I'd like different styles to apply to each format. For example, I want a different first-line paragraph indent level for PDF than for EPUB, different fonts, etc.
I can think of several ways to address this problem, but none of them seems quite right:
    1. Maintain two copies of the style source, with different styles defined in each. Swap it into the Book and out and synchronize as necessary.
    2. Maintain two separate documents only for their styles, and use the Load Styles command to load styles into the style source when I want to switch formats.
    3. Maintain a separate stylesheet for the EPUB that I apply after export. I'm afraid it might get out of sync with the book, though (if I define a new style in the book, I'll have to make sure that style appears in the CSS).
    4. Scripting: Write a script to go through and modify the styles, either of the Book's style source or the EPUB's CSS.
How would you handle this? Is there a built-in feature to address what I'm trying to do, and I just don't know about it?
    Indesign CS6.0.1, OS X 10.8.3.
    Thanks very much,
    Matthew

That makes sense. Would you specify an additional CSS file on EPUB export that overrides some of the directives in the InDesign-generated CSS, or write a new file to completely replace ID's in the EPUB?

  • Picture Book theme - why has my book printed with text box outlines showing? and how do I change this for any future purchases? This did not occur with previous books.

Why have borders appeared around the text boxes in the Picture Book theme and how do I change them for the future.  My latest book looks dreadful!

Have you checked, if your book is really set to the "Photos" Theme? This looks like you may have used one of the "Travel" themes. These themes create borders around the text boxes. When you select a theme, the book title will say "Photos", even if the theme is a different one.
For example, frames text boxes with the "travel" theme.
Have you previewed your book, before printing it? Did the framed boxes already show in the preview?

  • Photosmart 2710 need to change region for printer cartridges

    Hi:
I am an international resident currently residing in Brazil. My printer is programmed for Asian print cartridges and the region needs to be changed so I can purchase cartridges locally.
When I changed from Europe to Asia, HP support in Singapore was very helpful and English speaking. Support in Brazil only speaks Portuguese and I need the instructions in English.
Who can I contact for this, as I am out of warranty and the HP Website is a maze of unhelpfulness, if you are out of warranty.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

  • Changing Print Size for online printing

I have hundreds of pictures from a recent trip that I want to print to a 4x6 print. The problem is that the pictures were taken in the incorrect ratio for this print size. I know that a common solution is to crop the picture, but I do not want to do this, I want the entire picture - with a white border around it if necessary. I can get Elements 9 to do this for me for home printing from the print screen and selecting the print size that I want. However, I want to upload these photos to an online printing service (snapfish, shutterfly, etc). I have tried using their digital print size option on Snapfish, but it still crops my pictures.
    So,
    1. How can I get elements to save the file for me in a compatible 4x6 ratio without cropping, that I can use to upload to a printing service?
    2. How can I do this in a batch process as there are over 1000 pictures that have this issue?
    3. If elements can't do this, what software can?
    Thanks

I think all you need to do is "Process multiple files". Here is what I would do:
Put all my files to a folder.
    Go to File>Process Multiple Files
Use File option as Process from:
check the resize image and input your desired dimension in inches. I would change the resolution setting to 300 so that it remain good enough for printing.
Please let us know if it works for you

  • Have OSX & OS 9. Can't change chooser in OS 9 for new printer.

Hi - Here I am hours later. Please help.
I have a new printer ip4200. I am running both OS X and OS 9. All is well with OS X and printer, but I can not get the ip4200 to show up on my OS 9 Chooser. It shows 4 items: AppleShare, FaxPrint, LaserWrier8 and SC777 (my last printer).
I am trying to print from Corel Print House which operates in OS 9 only and cannot.
    Thanks much.
    Desperate Diane
    G4   Mac OS 9.2.x   also running OS X 10.2

Hi, Diane. Ralph has the right idea. To print directly from a Classic application, you'd need to have installed an OS9-compatible driver for the ip4200, so you could select that driver in the Chooser. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be one.
    http://software.canon-europe.com/Printers/BubbleJet_Printers/PIXMAiP420010232.asp
Indeed, the System Requirements for the printer include the following: "Macintosh computer with Mac OS X v10.2.1 or later..."
It appears that the printer probably requires some feature(s) not present in earlier versions of OS X (let alone OS 9) to function. If that's the case, there would be no point in Canon's writing an OS 9 driver for it.
If Corel Print House has the ability to save its documents in a file format that you can open with an OS X-native application (PDF format, for example), you could save them in that format, open them in such an application, and print them in OS X, using the printer's OS X driver. If CPH can't do that, you may have to find an OS X-native application to use instead of CPH. Or you may want to buy an older printer that does have an OS9 driver.

Internet Explorer,  Firefox , Opera and Google Chrome are Browsers. Yahoo and Google, unless you are referring to Google Chrome are not browsers. The browser is what you need to change. there are three images below of three different browsers. You are probably using Internet Explorer. Switch to another browser for a test print.

  • Possible solution for problems printing with ICC profiles - esp. R2400

(N.B. This is long because I've decided to go in to details about the background of the problem etc.. Also note that whilst my experience is with the Epson R2400, anyone with problems printing using ICC profiles in Aperture may find this post helpful, as will be explained further down the post.)
Ok, here's the situation. I've been an Aperture user for over a year, and an R2400 owner for half a year. In that time I have done a huge amount of experimenting, but I've never managed to get Aperture to work perfectly with Epson's 'premium' R2400 ICC profiles - the ones you can download from their site which are better than the ones provided 'in the box'. This hasn't been too big a deal because, in fact, the R2400 does a rather good job just set to 'System Managed' in Aperture and 'Epson Vivid' with a gamma of 1.8 in the printer driver. Nevertheless, it really annoyed me that something that should work wasn't, which is why I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out what's going on. Having said that, I have come across a method which will give you pretty good prints out of your Epson R2400 using the premium profiles in Aperture - it's not perfect, but it's the best you're going to get if you want to use those profiles in Aperture. I understand the words 'it's not perfect' aren't what photography experts would probably want to hear, however, I have seen a few anguished posts from R2400 owners in here before, so I think some people may find it useful.
The whole reason why Aperture is hopeless at using the R2400's premium profiles is because - unusually - their default rendering intent is set to 'relative colorimetric' rather than 'perceptual'. You might say 'but that's good - it means you get more accurate colours!', and if you do, you're right... however, there's a snag. To get an image to reproduce well using Epson's premium profiles and relative colorimetric rendering, you really need to use black point compensation. This is where the trouble lies: Aperture's black point compensation is diabolical to the point of being unusable when used with relative colorimetric rendering - I feel I need to be awarded compensation every time I've ever tempted to use the setting. So because BPC in Aperture is unusable, that effectively makes the premium profiles unusable too, because Aperture always uses the default rendering intent specified in the profile.
The solution? Use perceptual rendering instead. Ok, so you can't change the rendering intent in Aperture, which makes that sound a tad difficult. However, as I said in the above paragraph, Aperture always obeys the default rendering intent specified in the profile... so you can see where we're going with this: we need to change the ICC profiles' default rendering intent from 'relative colorimetric' to 'perceptual'. I did some digging around and found one or two expensive pieces of software that could do that... but then I found that, lo and behold, the Mac OS has a command-line utility which can do the job for us, for precisely £0.00. It's called SIPS or 'Scriptable Image Processing System', and you can find out some information about it here: http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn/tn2035.html#TNTAG58 For those who don't like reading technical jargon however, here's what you need to do to convert a profile's rendering intent. First go to terminal, then type in the following command:
    sips -s renderingIntent perceptual
Do not press 'enter' yet. Instead, add a space after 'perceptual', find the ICC profile you want to modify, and click and drag it into the terminal window. You should then find that your command looks something like this:
    sips -s renderingIntent perceptual /Users/yourname/folder/RandomProfile.ICC
At which point you can then press 'enter', and the command will execute, giving you an ICC profile which will now make Aperture use perceptual rendering.
There is just one further thing to be aware of after doing this: for some crazy reason, you then need to turn on BPC in Aperture for the prints to come out as good as possible. Black point compensation shouldn't make any difference when using perceptual rendering as the idea of perceptual is that it takes account of things like that anyway, however, in Aperture BPC does make a difference, so remember to turn it on to get a half decent print. In general, I find that prints made using this setup come out pretty well; they almost perfectly match prints made using the profiles with a perceptual intent in Photoshop Elements, except for the fact that Aperture blocks up the shadows a bit more than Photoshop. However, if you can live with that, you might find this is quite a workable solution.
Now, I said near the beginning of this post that all the above can apply to other printers too. Most printer profiles have 'perceptual' set as their default rendering intent, in which case everything I've just said won't be of much help. However, If you are reading this because you're having problems with ICC profiles in Aperture, but you don't use an Epson R2400, find your problematic ICC profile, double-click on it, and take a look at the window that opens: specifically, at the 'Rendering Intent' the window mentions. If it doesn't say 'Perceptual' then it may well be worth trying the steps I've outlined in this post to set it to perceptual, to see if doing so produces an improvement when using the profile in Aperture.
Finally, just one note of caution: if you decide to try out the steps I've detailed above on a paid-for custom-made profile, please back your profile up before messing with it. I haven't experienced any problems when using SIPS to change a profile's rendering intent, but I obviously can't guarantee that it won't do something weird and corrupt your expensive custom-made profile.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask, although (contrary to any impression I may give) I am not a colour-management expert; I'm just someone who doesn't give up when they have a problem that should be solvable.
