    How to change the font size of Text box tool ?
    I am using Acrobat PDF 6.0
    Tools > Advanced Commenting > Text Box Tool
    I need to know how to change the font size. The default font size is too big.
    let me know
    Thanks

    I do not have AA6 available right now (I can check at home this evening). I am also using AA Pro, not Std. In AA7, there is a text box tool that is a commenting tool. When I started typing, a properties toolbar came up that had the font size and such. I haven't figured out how to get the toolbar after the fact. In AA8, I selected the text box tool and then went to view and selected the properties bar (the font size and all showed then), or use Ctrl-E when editing the text. I have not been able to figure out how to edit the text in a text box after you have created it - think it is a mental block right now. Bill

  • How do i change the color of text boxes and the texts that i enter in them?

    I recently changed my system's color settings and now the text boxes in Firefox are dark grey. This is fine when the text happens to show up as white, but when it shows up as black, I can't read what I'm typing. (I'm not clear on what makes the difference. The box I'm typing this in now happens to be dark grey with white text.) I've tried playing around with settings within Firefox preferences and in my OS' (Kubuntu) system settings, and haven't yet been able to identify what settings exactly might change this specific aspect.

    Two possible ways are available
    Set the text with and html text string like "<html><font color-red>" + text + "</font></html>"
    or get the cellrenderer, cast to the DefaultCellRenderer and call setForeground or background or implement or your own cellrenderer to do the custom coloring (this could maybe depend on indexes)

  • Font color in text box

    Here's the scenario.  User copies text from black and white document in acrobat 8.2.  User then goes and pastes the text into a text box on a different page.  When the user leaves the text box, the text all goes to the same color as the text box background and looks like the text has disappeared.  The text can then be selected (although you can't see it until you hit ctrl+A or drag mouse).  Once the text is selected it can then be changed to a different color and viewed.  Although, sometimes the text is now in a different font (Symbol as far as I've seen).  The default text color is black.  This doesn't happen every time for various text throughout the pdf.  It does happen when trying to select the same problematic text.  I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Acrobat and I've been unable to reproduce the problem on two other computers working with the same document.  Selecting the text and changing the color is "too much work" for the user and I'd like to find a more permanent solution.  Any suggestions please...

  • KdeGraphics-Okular - How to change the color of Text Selection tool

    Hello All
    I'm trying to know how to change/fix the color of the Text Selection Tool (Ctrl + 4). Because when I highlight the text, it's only one color (Dark Blue) that make me could not read clear.
    ---- My OS Configuration
    OS : Arch
    DE: LXDE
    WM: OpenBox

    The highlight color is determined by the system-wide color scheme that you're using. There's no way to change it only for okular.

  • Change font color shifts text in Acrobat XI PRO

    When I go into an acrobat document and try to chnage the font color, it shifts the text and the paragraph it's in. I contacted Adobe about it a few months ago and they told me it was a know bug.
    When is it going to be fixed?

    Since this is a user-to-user forum, we don't have access to that type of information.

  • I have tried everything! How to change the color of text based on value Acrobat 9

    How can I change the color of the text to red if the value is "Unacceptable" and leave it green for all other rating values? Where can I put it for it to work? Also, Unacceptable is set to an export value of 0.
    var n = +this.getField("NumericSummaryRating").value;
    var a = +this.getField("Rating1.0").value;
    var b = +this.getField("Rating1.1").value;
    var c = +this.getField("Rating1.2").value;
    var d = +this.getField("Rating1.3").value;
    var e = +this.getField("Rating1.4").value;
    if (n == 0) {
        event.value = "Not Rated";
    } else {
    if (a==0 || b==0 || c==0 || d==0 || e==0) {
        event.value = "Unacceptable";
    else {
        if (n>0 && n < 3.0){
            event.value = "Unacceptable";
        else if (n >= 3.0 && n < 3.6) {
            event.value = "Successful";
        else if (n >= 3.6 && n < 4.6) {
            event.value = "Excellent";
        else if (n >= 4.6) {
            event.value = "Outstanding";

    You can add this at the end of the code:
    if (event.value=="Unacceptable") event.target.textColor = color.red;
    else event.target.textColor = color.green;

  • Text Box Tool in Acrobat X?

    In previous versions of Acrobat, I created standard text boxes in my forms.  I was able to open an existing file, click on the Text Box icon, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, and then Ctrl+V into a new document.  I can't figure out how to do that in Acrobat X.  Can anyone point me int he right direction?  Thanks!

    I agree with the majority of users that are expressing frustration with the functionality of Acrobat X.  It is really hit and miss. The fact that a user has to copy a text box over and over again without being able to use the standard text box or typewriter functions is in a word 'primitive' and Adobe should be ashamed.  But when you are the only game in town, you don't have to listen to customers.
    What I tried just now was to add text using the Add Text tool ( you know the one that lets you add text easily, but you are left with red text surround by a box as the default ).
    I then highlighted the red text in that box.
    With the text highlighted, go up to the top tool bar just below the    File      Edit     View     Window      Help - Bar.
    Right click on that tool box and select Properties Bar  to launch the Text Box Text Properties.
    Now I can use that Text Properties box for any Text that I added.
    I have no idea yet how to add that Text Box Text Properties button to the tool bar yet.
    I worked for Xerox for 19 years and the original postscript was a brainchild from someone out of PARC and that whole Acrobat insanity is a continuation of great thinking, that most of the time, "just missed the target."   The difference is; Acrobat has a monopoly on it - kind of like AutoCAD.  And Adobe, unlike Xerox, doesn't care about Customer Satisfaction.

  • How Change Font or Font Size in Text Box???

    Adobe Acrobat 7
    How do I Change the Font or Font Size in Text Box that I have inserted in a previously created .pdf file.
    Could not find any info on this in Help file. Thanks for any help.

    Use the text touchup tool, select the text, and right click to change the properties. If you mean a different type of text box, then look for the same type of changes, but use the same tool you used to create the text.

    How to change the font size of Text Box  Properties Appearance tab into 2 decimal digit. I am uanble to modify it to 5.38 pt for example. Its only allowing to 1 decimal place.

    Click on each field and the choose Properties from either File menu (or if on Mac hold dow mouse button until context menu appears choose properties)
    go to Font
    choose desired size and type font,you can choose to make this the default.
    Do this with each field.
    Or if you have a lot of fields:
    while one is selected select all of them
    then go to fonts in properties
    change Font and size and make default.

  • May I know how to change the color of texts inside the indicator box?

    Can anyone tell me how to change the color of texts inside the indicator box? I have tried to use property node but not really know how it functions.
    In fact, I am writing a program for which the number inside indicator on front panel will show red color if the measured value can't reach the requirement. I am using LabView 6.1 Professional
    Thank You for your attention!!!!!!

    Simply use a property node with "NumText.TextColor" and wire the correct color depending on your test result.
    The attached simple example (LV 6.1) lets you change it from the front panel. In your case, you would use your test output instead of a FP switch, of course. Message Edited by altenbach on 05-25-2005 09:05 PM

  • Text "disappears" when using text box tool

    We are running Adobe Acrobat Standard vers. 7.0.9 inside Thomson Corporation's GoFileRoom vers. 6.0. When using the text box tool to add comments to a pdf, the text within the text box "takes on" the color of the background of the box, making it seem that the text has disappeared. The only way to see the text is to edit the text box and change the font color OR to view the contents of the text box in the Comments section. How do I resolve this? Would appreciate any help.

    I am having the same problem. Both with text boxes and text in the actual document. Do you think it is GoFileRoom related? I never made the connection but I wouldn't be surprised. It seems worse when different versions of Adobe are used. Some have ver 7 and other ver 8 but we are all using GFR.
    Have you had any help?

  • I am unable to change the color of text in an email I replay to or compose. I am on 31.6.0 release of Thunderbird.

    When I receive, reply or compose email. I no longer am able to see or change the color of text. I select to change the text from black to Red (or any other color) and the text just stays black, The color seletor box will show the last select color, but never actually changes the text color in an email. Also in received email, when the sender has indicated their replies to me are in another color, All the text only appears as black. I never had this problem in the past, not sure what has happened. I did restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled and this did not change the problem.
