Changing Font in a Component

Question

Hi,
I have been using both a tutorial and a post I found on here regarding changing the fonts on the list component.
I put a list componenet on my stage and named it: myFlashList
I set up the font to embed and set up the linkage as described.
Here is my code thus far:
import flash.text.TextFormat;
import fl.managers.StyleManager
import fl.controls.List
var stencilReg:Font = new stencilReg();
var myFormat:TextFormat = new TextFormat();
myFormat.font = myFlashList.fontName;
myFormat.color = 0x48B7AB;
myFormat.size = 14;
myFlashList.setRendererStyle("embedFonts", true);
myFlashList.setRendererStyle("textFormat", myFormat);
the error I am getting is:
1180: Call to a possibly undefined method stencilReg.
the line it is suggesting is the problem is:
var stencilReg:Font = new stencilReg();
Does any one have any thoughts here ;-)

What is stencilReg?  There is something wrong with that line.  It makes no sense to assign something a variable name that is a class name.  For whatever it might be, the more correct form of it would be...
var someFont:stencilReg = new stencilReg();
