  • Call Oracle form from pl/sql

    Dear All
How can I call Oracle form from pl/sql and open this form to end user
    many thanks

how can I show this form to specific client ?What client?!? Database PL/SQL is executed within a process on the database server, it's not something which is executed on the client. Could you please elaborate a little bit more?
By now I have not the faintest clue if you want to
    - call a form from another form ( call_form )
    - call a form within a database process (?!?)
    - call your form from a client you did not tell us (probably APEX?!?)
For the case you really meant to call a form within Database PL/SQL: Just in case you didn't recognize it, but the database is perfectly capable of PL/SQL and as calling a form within a database process is a one-way street as you cannot interact with it there is no point at all in writing the things you want to do in forms. If you want some PL/SQL code executed on the database then...well...put it in a stored procedure in the database!

  • How to Change Fonts in Oracle Reports

    Hi All,
When ever i am changing fonts in my report it reflects me when i run them on reports builder installed on my local machine.
But when i put them on application server, these changes are not reflected. I am generating PDF reports.
Can some body help me what should i need to do to reflect the font changes.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Kamal

    Hi Kamal,
Whether the font used in the report is installed in the machine where Apps server is installed? If not , use the feature ' PDF Aliasing' to substitue for that particular font.
For more information on this, have a look at the chapter "Managing Fonts in Oracle Reports" in Publishing Reports Manual. You can download it from http://download.oracle.com/docs/pdf/B14048_01.pdf.

  • Change font in Adobe Form in the interface

    Hi all,
I have one issue changing the font in adobe forms.
In the interface I have as import one string. With this string I have to generate the PDF and I need to change the font.
    Here is an example:
Import string: "this is an [[FONT=CURIEL]]example of [[N]] adobe [[SIZE=15]] forms"
the characters [[ ]] indicate an scape sequence.
[[FONT=CURIEL]] means that all the following text should be in curiel font.
    [[N]] means new line
[[SIZE=15]] menas that all the following text should be in size 15.
All this text I has to be added to a string variable and paste in the PDF.
I know that I can add a new line with "cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline"
I know that with Javascrit I can change the font and the size, but for that I have to change all the text.
Is there any way to change some text inside the variable and not all of it?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Andres

    Hi UmaS,
    Thanks for your answer.
I can't use floating text because I don't know how many different fonts I will have and I can't create floating text dynamically.
    Any other idea?
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Andres.

  • On text change trigger in oracle forms 9

I want to simulate on-text-change trigger similar to the one present in java and other programming languages.
I need this trigger to be invoked when ever we change some text in the textfield.
Is there any way to do this?
I used two text fields to compare the last entered and newly typed based on a timer interval of 3secs
But my problem is Oracle trims the spaces present in the textfield and also highlights the text present in textfield when ever I enter a space....
Scenario : I want to use this trigger and refresh the search results based on the text present in the textfield.
    Thanks in advance

To do the kind of thing you are talking about you will need to implment a Java Bean in your form listen for the changes. Take a look at KeyEvent Java Bean or the Oracle Forms PJCs-Java Beans web site for more information and examples.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • Changing fonts in interactive form fields

I have created a form in Acrobat Professional 8 containing various form fields to be filled in. I want the end user to be able to change the font and colour of the text in each form field before printing it out. The end user will be using Adobe Reader - not Acrobat.
How can I do this? Also, can it be done so that users can open and edit the pdf in Adobe Reader 6, or would it have to be a later version?
Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Emma.

I have figured out how to do this at long last - no thanks to Adobe customer support who told me it can't be done - and the answer was simple as I suspected... To enable users to edit the attributes of text in a text field in Adobe Reader you simply need to check the 'allow rich text formatting' box on the Options tab of the text field properties when you create the text field in Acrobat. Then once the pdf is opened in Reader, simply Control + E to bring up the properties tool palette and you can change font, colour, size, spacing etc.
Thought I would just post this in case anyone else is trying to do the same thing.

  • Change protocol adapter (Oracle Forms)

I am trying to connect the SSL database from Oracle Forms.
The problem is that the database is configured with a protocol adapter TCPS instead of only TCP.
In Oracle Forms when connecting the database from the menu
"File--Connect... " it presents the error
"ORA-12538: TNS: not such protocol adapter"
I believe that it is because it uses for default the protocol
adapter TCP because a database that uses protocol adapter TCP is
    satisfactory.
I need to know where to change the type of protocol adapter,
I also believe that I should use the driver OCI because this allows TCPS.
    Please I need URGENT help.
    Please it is really URGENT

Thank you. What is ASO?, is it about Advanced Security?. Yes, I use AS and Forms 9i.
The problem is that Forms doesn't allow to specify the protocol. I think that Forms for default uses TCP and I need to use TCPS.
In JDeveloper I can connect the database through JDBC URL and in this string I specify PROTOCOL=TCPS and it is everything. But in Forms I don't know.
    Please help me.

  • How do I change font inside the Form's text fields

I went through tutorials on lynda.com and succesfuly layed out my form.
However I can not figure out how to make a change from a default Times Roman in the forms fields to a different typeface.
I assigned object styles, followed by paragraph styles but nothing happens. I also can not change font color inside the text fields.
Anyone knows how to change these attributes?

There are literally hundreds and thousands of improvements or changes that could be made to InDesign.
