Changing Fonts with a Pre-made Template

I am trying to change the font of the words in the premade template titled "Float." Is this even a possibility? I am having a hard time figuring it out.

it's all grouped according to the dropzone...hit f5 and in your layers tab, right before the name of the group is a little arrow, click it to reveal 3 other groups, repeat the process till you see the text layer.... New to motion? Read the manual and do the tutorials.

Iweb With html5 Pre Built Templates?

Sorry if this is an obvious question, but Googling hasn't helped me.
I found an html5 pre built template I would like to purchase and download. But I am very limited in Dreamweaver knowledge. Can I open and work with this type of template in iWeb?

iWeb can only use templates that are specifically designed for it. It cannot open an external html file.
I would imagine that what you are contemplating buying is an HTML layout with a CSS stylesheet. You would need code entry style software for this but you really don't need DreamWeaver.
I use Rage WebDesign for this. Taco is a really good, cheaper alternative and Fraise is free.
Some iWeb users are moving to Flux 3 since it handles both code entry and drag and drop. This application, to my mind, is over complicated and you would be better to use a WYSIWYG code entry style software if you are starting off with a well designed Stylesheet and HTML template. Its a lot easier in the long run and produces much cleaner code.

CHANGE FONT WITH JTEXTPANE

I am using JTextPane and want the user to be able to highlight text and change font styles. How do I do this? I tried setFont but it does not work. Thanks.. Sarah

Change font size in printer friendly template

Can anyone please let me know where to change the font size in a printer friendly template?

Adjusting pre-made templates

New to using iWeb, great app! although I'm just wrapping my head around it and here lies my question...
With the premade templates there seems to be an un-editable bar down either side of the page which is currently useless space. Is there a way to make the page wider but still remain centred? I would like to put Adword ads in that section but can't figure out how to make it useable space. Everything goes behind the bars and you don't have the option to bring objects to the front?
Second question which kind of relates. In Rapid weaver you can make the pages variable widths. Can you do the same in iWeb? Seems iWeb is rather limiting compared to RW.

I have used both RapidWeaver and iWeb, but am by no means a pro at designing websites. Almost everything you need is in the Inspector. To get to the page size, click on the "Page" tab of the Inspector (the 2nd one from the left at the top), and to get to the size, click on the "Layout" button towards the top of the Page Inspector. There you can tweak the size to whatever you want.
The "bars" you refer to are actually the web page background, which you can change to a color or image on that same Layout part of the Page Inspector. You can't add text there. Just widen your page size if you want to make use of that space, so that it is just covered up.
I switched from RapidWeaver to iWeb almost 2 years ago, so I haven't used it in awhile. At the time I switched, which was when the first version of iWeb came out, I was able to do a ton more tweaking in iWeb than in RapidWeaver, and much more efficiently. Take the time to learn where all the functions are. Becoming proficient with a new program always takes some time, so don't give up too quickly. All of these GUI web designer programs have their limitations, but I've found ways to get around most of them. The only way to get exactly what you envision for your website 100% of the time is to purchase the high-prices pro software, which have a MUCH higher learning curve or learn HTML code. Apple has done a fantastic job of streamlining the creative process in their iLife and iWork suites, and the beauty is that once you can get around in one of their programs, the rest are pretty much the same. Sorry for the soap box preaching. Hope I was able to help.

Editing a Pre-Made template

I bought a premade flash template, however as of now it is
created in non-flash format. I would love to have my top piece as

I hear people saying bad things about template monster.com, but
there are a lot of site selling this same template, but I just
ended up buying it from there.
My problem is how do you edit the flash part of it...I
downloaded a free trial of dreamweaver as well as macromedia flash
8. I have folders that I got when I purchased the template, but I
am lost as to how I start actually editing this top half with my
own company name on it and my own navigation key names. I am new to
flash but would like to try to do it myself, but now sure how you

Hopefully you will find a ".fla" file somewhere in your
folders (supposedly in
a folder named Flash or something similar) Thats the file you
are going to open
in Flash to be able to edit. When you are satisfied with
editing the file to
your liking in Flash you should go to File>Publish (or
Publish settings to be
more precise of what and where you want to output your file).
Now open your
filebrowser and locate the published files there should be
one called .swf and
one called .html. Upload both these files to your webhost
then point to the
html file as your index file. And it should be working.
If you get trouble please post the name of all your folders
and files that you
got from templatemonster.
And btw great looking template, Im really fond of the design
of many of thoose
templates and I usually go there to get inspiration. :)

Change font with a bottom.

Hi,
I couldn't find an answer for this but: Is there a way to chnage the font in the front panel by pressing a button?
As you can see, I am building a farily simple starwars-theme-application, what I want to to is to use that funky starwar font ( like the one os top of the siganl inputs), but when a button is press the font goes back to a readable font (ie; arial)

You can create a property node for each of the controls you want to change. Write the font name to the property Label.FontName.

Cannot quick change font with arrow key / mac

I have been using illustrator for years on windows and just recently switched to mac.
On the windows version of Illustrator CS5 you can preview different fonts on the desired text by just placing the cursor on the font selection bar and then simply press the up/down arrows keys. On mac it does not work that way.
Does anybody know how i can fix this?

I'm having the same issue on:

Adobe Illustrator CS5
Also, at certain times I click in the font selection bar and type in the name of the font I want... or part of it and it shows up and when I hit the enter key it does not change the font but rather switches the selected font back to what it was originally on. Effectively doing nothing.

Is there any way to change the formatting of pre-made documents in pages?

You change the margins in the Documents sidebar.
How ever if it is the CV I am thinking it is in Pages 5.5.1, Apple constructed it using Textboxes for the headings to the left.

The results of this search will give you some ideas from which to refine your search. Ultimately, you will probably want to rework any Excel templates you find so that they take advantage of the features of Numbers.
You can narrow the search with: "iWork templates for small construction company" and you may find documents already in the Numbers format.

If you want to set this as the default doc type go to Edit > Preferences > New Document - and set "Default Document Type.

Motion project to Compressor - changes font with render

I have a project that is a simple opening title using Frutiger Black Condensed as the font (isn't everyone using Frutiger today?)
The font is not in my user folder. It's located in the main Library Font folder. I had this issue before and it was because the font was in the User folder. You guys helped me with that one!
The font has been validated.
There are no duplicates.
Motion sees the font and lets me set text to the font.
I export it to Compressor and the Preview in Compressor shows the correct font.
I render it using the Animation codec and the resulting QT movie has a different font.
Rendering directly out of Motion works fine, of course, but I want to use Compressor because I want to set up several to render and walk away.

how very strange I had exactly the same issue today. The .mp4 export via compressor from motion had a substituted font. I didnt have too much time to explore the situation.
the work around for me was to bring the motion project into fcp and then export it via compressor from there. Why this should be different I have no idea, but it worked.

Anywhere on the web to get pre-made templates?

I'm starting to do some drum tracking and I'm wondering if there is anywhere on the web to get logic express templates - obviously different from the ones that come with Logic. Specifically, I'd really like a nice drum template with some compression and reverb already set up. Anyone know if there are any available?

Importing Stored procedures into pre-made report

Hello all,i'v got some trouble with some pre-made reports that we wish to start using with embedded java engine.Reports are stored procedure based and the built-in connection is ODBC.What I'd like to do is to change the datasource to JDBC datasource and run all queryes through there. This is possible, however there is a known issue with the Database Explorer that ships with CR4E in that Stored Procs are not displayed. You can check out the following forum thread if you want more information on this specific issue:

This issue generally affects creating new reports against Stored Procedures, but it will affect you as well as it will prevent you from using the UI to switch from one database driver to another, Primarily because the Stored Procs won't be displayed in the destination table that you wish to switch to.
To get around this we will need to create a simple java routine to switch the tables via code. The attached code below will go through all of the tables in the main report and the subreport and assign the new JDBC connection information:
