Changing Form Settings during Form Load

Hi,
I am populating a grid from external database using stored procedure and enabled Form settings for that user defined form and while loading the grid, I have made some fields visible false.
After loading the form, when I open the form settings, their visible property is set to true and when I change the Visible or Active in Form settings, it is not reflected in Grid. Please help me on this regard.

Hi Owen,
I tried the same logic before posting the query here. But still it is not working.And while loading the form, I am hiding it and populating a stored procedure and binding a datatable to grid and making the form visible. Also I tried hiding the columns after making the form visible.
And when I open form settings , by default the visible column is checked for all columns (including hidden columns) and whatever changes we make in form settings, it is not reflected in grid.

Why does FireFox change layout/settings during upgrades without asking ?

Just upgraded to Firefox 18 (windows 7 desktop). Why does Firefox change layouts/settings without asking the user if he wants it or not???
I am getting sick of those changes. I want to have at the google main page the options (as before) to search in all languages, or pages from a certain language or pages in a certain language (of course depening of the google address; f.i. at google.de for german languages, google.fr for french languages etc).
In the latest Firefox 17 it was working as I wanted and described before: when I visited www.google.de/firefox of www.google.fr/firefox. Now those 3 options (under the search bar) are gone and I do not want to operate by clicking on the advanced search button. Those things should be visible under the search bar again.
Also my STARTPAGE was GONE/DELETED after the update !!! Grrrrr.... Updating is OK but mozilla should not change user configured items !!!!!!!
The above described problem has nothing to do with the google website.

By the way, do Firefox and IE use the same proxy settings? You can view Firefox's here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > "Network" mini-tab > "Settings" button
The default is "Use system proxy settings".

Does LR3 automatically change exposures settings during DNG imports?

Hi all. I'm new to the forum and the software so my apologizes if I'm in the wrong place.
When I import RAW files and change them to DNG it seems as if the exposure settings are all over the place. For instance one image might import as:
Temp =5150
Tint =-3
Exposure =0.00
Recovery =29
Fill Light =0
Blacks =3
Brightness =+52
Contrast =+33
The very next image imports as:
Temp =5050
Tint = -8
Exposure = 0.00
Recovery = 4
Fill Light = 0
Blacks = 3
Brightness = +58
Contrast = +28
Is this a product of the software or the camera (Nikon D300).
Is there a way to import everything at baseline or 0?

If the original NEF raw files have already been processed in an Adobe application then these settings will be applied to the DNG on import. The only other ways that the settings can be applied on import is via a develop preset (set in Import window) or if Apply Auto Tone Adjustments has been activated in Preferences>Presets panel

Changing Form settings to French

Hello,
I have changed the settings of my form to be in French . I did this by going into File/Form Properties/Defaults and changing the Form Locale to French (Canada). There are multiple date fields with Calendars on the form. When the user chooses a date in the future (on my English form) an error message appears saying they are unable to choose a future date. The date then appears in the field, but if they try to submit the form, they get the error message again.
On my French version, if the user tries to select a future date, the date does not appear in the field, nor does the error message come up. If they first choose a date that is valid the date appears, but if they go back and change it to a future date then the error message appears.
Does anyone know why this might be happening? I would like the message to appear whenever they choose a future date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Update: I've run steps 1-5 on my test app, works perfectly. As described in the documentation I've created a new entry for the application, generated an XLIFF file, exported it to my local system, translated some of the target words, imported it again, applied it and published the application and changed the application language to the new, imported language (file).
If it's not working for you, can you describe the steps you took in detail?

An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service, when InfoPath web enabled form loads.

Hi Everyone,
I am getting an error message: An error occurred while trying to connect to a web service, when my InfoPath form tries to load. The last few days, it only spits this error message in the morning and around 12pm-1pm it resolves itself and the form loads
fine the rest of the day, oddly enough.
A few things about my form:
1). It is web enabled
2). The form submits to a form library on the SP server
3). I use the UserProfileService data connection in the form to auto-populate a few fields
4). I use a udcx file with correct language stored in the root of the site collection in the data connection library
5). The form has been working fine until a few days ago
I noticed while in Central Administration, that the User Profile Service Synchronization is Stopped. Not sure if this is causing some or all of the problem. If I need to start it I will need to contact my farm administrator to do this, since I do not
have the service account information.
Also, I looked thru the log files on the SharePoint server and found the following by searching for the Correlation ID shown when the error comes up, I won't put in everything just the important messages.
Schema file was already loaded: BuiltInActiveXControls.xsd

Hi B.,
You are on the right track. I recommend that you first get the User Profile Synchronization Service started because that itself could be the root cause of the issue.
If that doesn't fix it then focus your attention on the GetUserprofileByName data connection. I always use my secure store ID for this connection. I add the ID by editing the udcx file and then publishing it again.

Infopath form load rule not working in browser forms but works on Client

I am working on an Infopath form and there are rules on form load. The form load checks for a value in a list, if the username() matches the one in the list, then the form would change its view.
It works when I open it on client, but on the browser it fails.
Have anyone encountered such an issue.

if I edit the Infopath form on Infopath 2007, it seems that the rules for the load form will be visible if created.
This look like a bug. Here are the steps below that will lead you to the bug:
Step 1: Open the infopath form in Infopath 2010 and create 6 rules for Form Load and Save it as a file.
Step 2: Open that infopath form that you created in Step 1 in InfoPath 2010 and go to the
Form Load section. You will only see the first 5 rules. The 6th rules that you created for Step 1 will just "vanish". Now, close that infopath form.
Step 3: Open that infopath form that you created in step 1 in InfoPath 2007 and select Tools > Form Option. In the
Open and Save category, click the Rules button and add a new rule in it and save it.
Step 4: Open that infopath form that you modify as describe in Step 3 in InfoPath 2010. That 6th rule will be visible.
Therefore, there might be a bug in InfoPath 2010 that restrict Rules to a max of 5 in Form Load and thus if anyone open that form in SharePoint, only the first 5 rules will be executed.

SCSM 2012 Change form issue - Scheduled start and end times default to 12:00:00

I have a report that the Change Form in SCSM 2012 is not allowing users to set the scheduled start and end times. The date stays correct, but the time reverts back to 12:00:00, and the user has to save to the initial form, then re-open and
change the times.
I checked in the authoring tool, the time/date field is set to full date and time. (I think these are custom fields)
I am not sure where else to look to adjust any settings as needed.

Is this situation on all consoles or few ones? Check the time format on the user's PC. 24h or 12h could affect the DateTime control's behavior.

Running 2 Rules Upon Form Load

Hello-
We have an InfoPath 2010 form with 2 views. The default view is what we want staff to see when they fill out the form. The second view is a more formal form that needs the staff doesn't need to see. So we want the form to initially load
in the default view and then switch to the second view once the form has been submitted to the Form Library.
We have this set up with 2 rules upon load. Both of those rules run off of another field. That field defaults to 1, but then changes to 2 once the form is signed off on.
Rule 1: We are pulling some info into our for from our directory. This rule runs when the field is set to 1.
Rule 2: We have a rule to switch the view. This rule runs when the field is set to 2.
The issue is, these rules won't run together. Rule 1 will run just fine, but when the form is re-opened and the field is set to 2, Rule 2 won't run. We have done some experimenting, if we set Rule 2 to run when the field is set to 1, they both
work. Same with when they are both set to 2. But they won't both run when they are set to different numbers.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The form is opened the first time with the field set to 1. Then I have a rule set up that when the person fills out the form and a field is filled in, it sets the field to 2. The intent is to have the form open all subsequent times in the
second view. I don't know if that's the best way to go about doing that, but that's the best way we could come up with.
Do the Form Load rules only run once?

Infopath 2013 form load problems connecting to a SharePoint Library.

I have created an Infopath 2013 form. I am connecting to a SharePoint 2013 library. In the infopath form I have multilple views with rules. (Rule is: if title field is blank use default view). When I first open/create a new form in sharepoint
(using the web browser option) the default view is there. After submitting the form, I then try to add a new form and the second view is now the default view. Is there a setting I need to change. I have pretty much tried everything I can
think of to fix this. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

According to your description, my understanding is that the second view became the default view when adding a form in SharePoint library.
By default, the default view will be loaded when opening the form.
How did you set the rules in the InfoPath form?
If the form loads with the second view when opening the form, I recommend to check if there is any Form Load rule to load the second view by default.
Could you please provide more details about the form for reproducing?

Form load rules are not working on display and edit forms

I have customized SharePoint 2013 list form using InfoPath 2013. I want to hide certain fields based on user group. I created rules on form load for that. These rules are working fine on New Form but are not working on display and edit form.
What can I do?

It could be because the value might have not changed ie, you might be checking for a particular value, the values might have got overwritten when the new form is saved, see if that value is blank or overwritten in display and edit forms.
I would first check the form load rules and check those values again in Display form and edit form, if the values are not getting cleared/overwritten.
It would be better if you could upload the screenprint.

InfoPath form load rule is not checking all the rows in form library

Requirement:
We have a form library named "HR Annual Review". In the InfoPath form we have two buttons "Save" and "Submit". User is allowed to Save multiple times and only once using Submit button. The file name of form library "HR
Annual Review" will be stored in the format “<username>+<mm>+<dd>+<yy>.xml”. Say for example, an user named Mike Walt submitted a form then the file name will be as “MikeWalt012314.xml”. If the same user (Mike Walt)
submits the form and tries to open the form for subsequent edit, then we need to show a view which has an error info saying “The Appraisal is already submitted for the current appraisal cycle”.
Solution we tried:
To achieve the above requirement, we tried using InfoPath Form Load and add a rule to check whether the combination of current user name and the year already exists in the filename column of the form library. But the rule we applied is not checking all the
rows in the form library. The rule is always checking the first row of the form library.
What we need:
We need the validation using InfoPath rule or some other way/solution to check whether the combination of current login username and current year file already exists in the form library.

Hi Srivignesh,
Submit button Uses the Main Data connection to submit the data to the list. This is what you are using and naming the file in the format. You can create secondary data submit that will update the exiting item in the list. With this, you don't have to create
any rules to check all the rows which is also not possible in OOB InfoPath.
Once you have the two data connection, hide the toolbar from the form and display these two on the button. For The Submit button, apply the rule to hide the button if created by is not empty. For Save button, apply the rule to hide the button if Created
By is empty. This way, when a new form is created, you will see the Submit button, and when the user have to update the form, they will see Save button. Hope it help.s

I have a multi select field for 30 roles in the form. Now, i want 28 roles to appear on the right hand side (current Roles) on form load and the rest 2 to appear under available Roles.

Rahul is partially correct. You can change Purchase documents' name/form title from the document numbering form (AdministrationSystem IniticalizationDocument Numbering).
For Sales documents yes, you really need to use the UI API.

1. I need change forms of provisioning e management for User's Manager/Administrator of Resource view only resources management by him.
Eg.
If Admin1 access User1 profile and go to resource profile, I need show only resources that he is Administrator.
2. Are the some way to filter the resource profile by User's Manager/Administrator of Resource?
Eg.
In the User1 profile, Admin1 view information A/B/C (roles of resource) on the attribute profile(combobox/lookup) and Admin2 view only information B/C/D.
