Changing IDE to ACHI problems

Am hoping someone can inform me. I have the Big Bang Xpower with the I7-920 with Win7 64.
I just purchased an installed the Mushkin 240 SSD to go along with 3 WD drives.
Although as of now everything seems to be working fine I noticed a new firmware for the SSD drive, I am not able to update it. I have tried and it showed it was doing it but it never changed. I also noticed my Intel 3/4/5 chipset drivers where out of date, while trying to update them I get the message
( This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing software.)
I called Msi tech support and he said I would have to change the IDE to AHCI in the Bios and reinstall Win 7. Since I have a complete backup of the drive I asked of I did reinstall Win 7 after rebooting could I copy my backup over the new install. He said no. I don't mind doing the reinstall but have a lot of programs which I no longer have the installation disks. He stated that would also let me install the Intel drivers.
Tired of scratching my head and thought someone from this forum could help me.
Would appreciate any advise.

Was able to change to ACHI after changing the setting in Msahic to zero using regedit. That permitted me to update the firmware
on the SSD but still get the message when trying to update Intel drivers.
Interesting idea about keeping the clone as double boot will have to consider that, Thanks for bringing that up.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.

This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!
If anyone knows of a GOOD reasonably priced video editing program NOT from APPLE I am still looking for suggestions. I want to do more video in future, but obviously NOT with iMovie !!!

Shut down the notebook. Tap away at f10 as you start the notebook to enter the bios menu. Under the Advanced or Diagnostic tab you should find the facility to run tests on both the Hard Drive and Memory. Post back with the details of any error messages.

Node in Form to change IDES Logo to Company Logo in TCode: SFP

Hi All,
In TCode: SFP for form PTRV_EXPENSE_FORM in the "Context" tab I check the nodes "I_FORM_HEADER_DATA_EMPLPYEE", "I_FORM_HEADER_DATA_EMPLPYER" and other nodes but they dosent have a subnode to change IDES logo. Unfortunately the "Layout" is not displaying by throwing up an error saying "design tools not present(i.e not installed)"
I also searched with terms LOGO/Image/Graphics on the form in "Context" tab but nothing showed up in the search
Could anyone please tell me the subnode where can I upload Company Logo

As long as iMessage is enabled and the old phone is connected to a WiFi access point, it will continue to receive iMessage texts. It won't receive non-iMessage texts nor will it receive any calls.

That setting doesn't exist in most HP consumer PC's.
If you are trying to install Windows XP, please read the XP downgrade guide and the SATA ACHI blue screen guides below.

You cannot download the upgrade to Snow Leopard.

Stuck how ? What is showing on the iPad's screen, and/or in iTunes on your computer ?
If the iPad won't start up then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I did disable the security (AVG and Zone Alarm) when I tried on my own PC. My wife's laptop which eventually got it working also uses AVG and Zone Alarm but on an XP O/S whereas my PC is Vista - maybe this is why.

Had the same problem, the only fault and the reason why it happend is a bad wifi connection!
Could ofc be something else, but thats my two cents!

Additional info on this:
I strongly suspect this is time machine-related. Even though time machine has been turned off, this happens at intervals of exactly one hour.
A single entry appears in the kernel log at the precise moment the (first) popup error box appears. This is:
"AppleSRP started."
Anyone have any clue how to go about diagnosing or fixing this? I don't even mind trying something brute force (short of wiping the HD and reinstalling lion, which I really DON'T want to do; I don't mind a non-destructive reinstall).
