Changing info in ToDos

When I create a New To Do, and Get Info, changes I make are not saved - the To Do just reverts to "New To Do". Once it's created, I can edit in Get Info. Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong, or is this a feature?

For most information addng it to iTunes changes the file as well unless the file is a format which cannot store information (WAV). Artwork is a bit of an exception. If you get iTunes to fetch artwork it only adds it to iTunes' own artwork collection but not to the file. I use an older version of iTunes and I know if I add artwork manually it embeds it. You can also use a script from the Dougscripts web site to embed fetched artwork.

Can no longer change info in itunes

I just got a new imac and successfully moved the music over from my old mac. I see, however, that I cannot change any info anymore. I highlight a song, do a 'get info', click info tab, and all fields are inaccessible. I am unsure of whether this has been so since I started the new mac or not (only 2 days).
There was a previous mention of this problem in this forum which I found using Search, but it was unanswered.

I replied a few minutes ago that I had read/write permissions over my itunes music folder. But further snooping around showed me that I could indeed change info over most songs, just not the specific ones I got hung up on yesterday. The culprit was that the offending songs were all in a folder called "unknown" or "unknown artist". both those folders allow only Read rights.
Now I just have to figure out why that is and how to change it. Thanks, Colin, for pointing me in the right direction.

Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!

Also, you need to have activated the computer for use with itunes. Why that's not done when you install is a mystery.
Because you don't need an iTunes account tio use or install iTunes.
You cannot authorize the computer until you have an account because that's what you are authorizing.
Note, you can only have 5 active computers, but you can deactivate all of them.
You can have 5 computers authorized at any one time. You can only select Deauthorize all when you do hae 5 authorized and you can only do it one time per year.
Next, create/update your itunes account.
Again you cannot "activate" (which is authorize) unless you have an iTunes account. So you cannot authorize iTunes and then create an iTunes account.

Can program change info be sent to the channel strip?

Hi there, I have old logic midi files to update for use in logic pro7. I have set up an autoload template which I then drag the old logic files into so that I get the environment settings that I want and have some uniformity with all my files.
Is there a way I can get program change info and midi instrument settings from the event list, (in the midi tracks dragged in) transfered/sent into the channel strip?
Can the track info like control change, volume settings, pg ch, etc be sent to the channel strip so that they match?
I struggled trying to explain that I hope it's clear. Please help if you can.

Ipod auto update. Changing info wrongly

Whenever I add a tune to my itunes library the next time I connect my ipod. It goes through my library randomly changing info for 10 - 20 tracks wrongly about Genre, Year, Album for several tracks, and adding the track number to the tiltle so that an exclamation mark appears in the library to say it cant find the tune (Which ihas now been renamed) I have used a professionl mp3 tagging program. The info being changed by the ipod makes no sense anyway as it is wrong. I really want my music sorted into Genre and Years so this is really frustrating me. Can anyone help? Please! I've changed Info.plist and quicktime crashes

As you just found out the hard way, it's always a good idea to have a backup, especially before you start messing with system files. Don't feel too bad, everyone seems to learn the hard way. You can try this, though if it were me I'd back up what I had first just in case.

Change Info Object Master/Text data in PROD to Time dependant

Hello Experts,
I have an Info Object used in ODS and Cube. Both ODS and Cube has data in it. The Info Object has Text data.
I need to change Info Object Text data as Time dependant.
What are best way to make this change? If I make change to Info Object, how it's going to effect Cube and ODS.

Yes I am selectiong the check box to make IO as time dependant.
May be I am over complicationg this. Here is my understanding, correct me if I am wrong.
The IO is used in cube. It belongs to Dimension1. This dimension table is nothing but dim id's and SID's. So the Dimension table is built based on the exist SID values.
When I make change to IO, the data and SID's will change. Doesn't it cause some data inconsistancy ? And also the IO text table will have multiple rows with the same data but with different validity periods.
As I said I may be thinking too foolish or technical.

Changing Info Rec Prices when Contract Exists....no warning?

Does anyone know a way to initiate a warning (or hard stop) in ME12 (Change Info Record) when a user is changing a price when a Contract exist for that material and vendor in the info record?
The Superuser's goal: Stop other users from changing the Info record price when a Contract already in the system exists with a agreed price. How to put a hard stop? I know for a fact, there's a msg that compare's Material Std Cost with the Purchase Price and gives warning, but that doesn't service this purpose as Superuser want to block the Info Rec being changed if a Cotract Exists.

Also, when a Contract's Price is changed (in ME32K) it will NOT change the Info Rec (created earlier may be manually or as a result of RFQ price selection) Price, eventhog the Contract "Info Update" indicator is set.

Asnwer 1 . you can make the message an error message, by this your problem will be solved and no one enter the same again....
Answer 2. In the std sap system, PO price doesn't get updated in the inforecord, but the PO price history gets updated....
This may be because, if you make the one PO and change it....and after this if you wanna make the other po with the last ie. ORIGINAL price...then we you use the inforecord to see the original price...while on the other hand you can also see the PO price history from ME1P for the same...

Unable to change info for items in my library

I just upgraded to iTunes 11.0.0.163. Whenever I try to edit an item in my library, I'm unable to make any changes. If I select a single item, all fields in the 'Get Info' window are disabled except for Start and Stop Time on the Options tab.
If I select multiple items, all fields are available, but no changes are saved when I click OK.

Found the issue.
The folder was set to Read and Read & Execute permissions for the standard users group. The Administrators group had Full Control. When I ran iTunes as an administrator it worked, so I changed the permissions on my iTunes folder to allow Full Control for the users group.

Is there a way to change info on multiple contacts simultaniously?

I have a group that has 50 contacts in it. Each contact has name, company, and email address. Is there a way to add address, city, state in the address fields to all contact all at once, or is this something that has to be done with each individual contact?
I'm hoping there is a way to automate this. I have about 400 groups, with lots of contacts that I'd like to update with address info if it's not a nightmare.

So if you have 200 people in a group at the same company and the company changes it's name or address you have to manually go in and change each individual card entry?
There has to be some find/change thing.

Changing info about songs

I was trying to change the info on all the songs in my iTunes library yesturday to try and get all the songs from some albums to be together rather than seperated when different artists were performing by changing them all to 'Various'. Unfortunatly I typed 'Various' into the Album box by mistake and now all my songs have the same album name. Is there any way of undoing my mistake or am I going to have to go through all 17 days worth of somgs and change them individually? I haven't got a recent back up off my computer, but I do have quite alot of the music stored on either my iPad or my iPhone, could any of that be used to help? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Can't change info of music in iTunes 11.0.1

The other day I was updating my MacBook OS to OS X 10.8.2 with the latest version of iTunes 11.0.1. When I add legal music (not bought via iTunes Store) to my iTunes, I suddenly can't change the music info. Changing the properties to read and write doesn't work.
I'm logged in as the administrator to my MacBook. Does anyone has the same problem and/or solution?

You can setup Smart albums that automatically update with new groupings as you make them.
