Changing Info Rec Prices when Contract Exists....no warning?

Quest1:
Does anyone know a way to initiate a warning (or hard stop) in ME12 (Change Info Record) when a user is changing a price when a Contract exist for that material and vendor in the info record?
The Superuser's goal: Stop other users from changing the Info record price when a Contract already in the system exists with a agreed price. How to put a hard stop? I know for a fact, there's a msg that compare's Material Std Cost with the Purchase Price and gives warning, but that doesn't service this purpose as Superuser want to block the Info Rec being changed if a Cotract Exists.
Quest 2:
Also, when a Contract's Price is changed (in ME32K) it will NOT change the Info Rec (created earlier may be manually or as a result of RFQ price selection) Price, eventhog the Contract "Info Update" indicator is set.
Why is thi? Do you guys know?

Asnwer 1 . you can make the message an error message, by this your problem will be solved and no one enter the same again....
Answer 2. In the std sap system, PO price doesn't get updated in the inforecord, but the PO price history gets updated....
This may be because, if you make the one PO and change it....and after this if you wanna make the other po with the last ie. ORIGINAL price...then we you use the inforecord to see the original price...while on the other hand you can also see the PO price history from ME1P for the same...

As per the std SAP system...Whenever you have inforecord existing for the contract, then only the COntract release order is set as last document....
While in you don't have the inforrecord for the contrac. then the time-dependent conditions are only updated....
There is no way to change these settings...

In the SAP OSS 569885 it is precised clearly:
If an info record already exists, upon creation or change of
a contract, neither price nor conditions are updated in the info
record.
So, my question is:
Is there any way to update info records prices upon a contract change or creation .

the info record is a kind of general, means it has the general price. A contract is an agreement for a certain quantity and price and period that may have a price that you can only get from your vendor with this kind of agreement. So it is not really logical to have the contract price in the info record, too.
There is no way to get this update automatically.

No valid info record price when creating PO

When I created a PO with an info record, but no valid price for the date, the system used the most current PO to price the new PO.
Is there a way to have the system give a warning message that there is no valid info record price?

I made the change to the setting and it did return a warning for NO info record. But the second time I used the material/vendor, there was no warning theat there was no valid info record price
The PO just used the price from the previous PO with no message about the source.
How would a buyer know that he needs to go "do something" about an info record price?

Info Rec Price Change on Condition Types

We have our info records by plant. Key fields are: material, plant, then vendor. And we also maintain multiple condition types for each info record.
Now we want to update the rates of the condition types in the info records... by plant. We thought MEKP would do it, but no. It updates the rates, however, the t-code does not allow it by plant. There is no option on the selection screen to filter it by plant.
Is there any other transaction code which would allow us to update rates of condition types?

What you said was right. But if my scenario is this -
I want to increase the cost all of materials supplied by the Vendor ABC in the Plant 123, by 1.5 % then MEKP increases the value for some common materials supplied by this Vendor in the other Plant, which i do not want.
So I need a Plant field in the selection screen of MEKP.

Automatic change of Net price in contracts

Hi all
My users want to create a contract (ME31K) which updates net price by .005 cents every month ( some more coditions) automatically.
i am new to this and i donno how to do this.
i guess conditions/pricing procedure can help.
Can you please suggest me how to acheive this. hope this can be acheived.

As an add on to what Syed put.
If you check MEKR, I think you can also update an absolute amount (I'm not logged on at the moment so can't check right now). If it's a 'straightforward' program you may be able to create a variant and schedule a monthly update to do what you want.
Check the program and have a look at doing this in your sandbox system first !

Info Recs and Source List

Hi Experts
I want to be able create a Source List for a small number of non valuated Material Masters which will be available when creating a P Req. The P Req will be priced by the creator and the P Req prices should flow through to the P Ord when adopted without being overwritten by an info rec price or previous P Ord price. Do you have any thoughts on this ?

I doubt if standard SAP supports your required process, because SAP always give a first preference to Price Conditions from Info Record to fetch into PO..
If the Info record is available, SAP will not fetch the price from PR into PO.
However, you can look for any BAPI or OSS note

I did not converted the Purchase Requsition in Purchase Order.
I just running a Test Script, and after assigned a Quotation, the vendor sent me some price changes.
When I call the requisition, the system don't let me change any price.
I believe there is a good reason for that, but I need to read it.
If anyone knows any documentation available, please let me know.

Hi Nies,
If you are not using the material then you can go for Validation, under Operative Structure> Network> Validation.
Attach the validation with OPSA click on Automatic.
In the second scenario if you are using Material Component, as Mr.Muralidharan said OPSG there you can restrict the change by selecting Error Message.
1. Tcode OPSG in Setting see all the object are selected.
2. Click on Component tab under change in Purchase Order Exist tab select Error.

I have a user on an iMac 10.6 connected to our domain. She uses Outlook web access for email on our exchange server. Last week she received the following message which is randomly preventing her from sending emails. She claims no attachment was involved in the original email when this all started. I have not been able to look at her account as she is out of the office but maybe someone else dealt with this issue. I realize this may not be Mac related but thought I'd give it a try. She did say it occurred once over two days while working on a PC but it continued over the past weekend.
If an internal user tries to send a message with infected attachment using Outlook Web Access, it may report the following error message: The action could not be completed because of a conflict with the original item. The conflict may have occurred when an existing item was updated on another computer or device. Open the item again and try making your changes. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization.
This is because F-Secure Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange has detected a virus in the attachment. If the user tries to send the message again, the message will be sent but without the attachment. At the same time a blank message with an attachment named "Attachment_information.txt" will remain in the user's Drafts folder. The "Attachment_information.txt" will contain information about the virus detected in the message.

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. Block price from any changes in the PO, when PO has released.

I have problem in the PO screen, when I have released the PO, then I want to block the released PO from changes in price.
in other words, after we released the PO, no one can change the net price in the PO screen.
Can we do that? any customizing should I do?

Please check the following, Hope this will solve the Problem
1. ME23N goto PO Header "Release Stratergy" Tab, Check the Release Indicator.
2. Go to SPRO --> Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Release Procedure for Purchase Orders --> Define Release Procedure for Purchase Orders --> Release Indicator
3. Select the Release ID "from Step 1" and in Changable Column select 1
as per the above setting the Purchase Order once release will not be changable
