I bought my I-Pad at an AT&T store. I would like to change my wireless internet service provider. Can I change my provider or am I stuck with AT&T?

Yes, you can use the Mail app on the iPod for your internet mail provider. Go to your provider's mail support website to find out how to set up the account on the iPod. They probably will not have instructions for an iPod but the one for the iPhone should do.

Safari won't open some pages after changing internet provider

Since I changed my internet provider Safari decided not to work. Not sure if it is just a coincidence or not. I have been looking for solutions on the forum and test some suggestions but I getting nowhere.
I have reset Safari several times, empty cache, clear history and I still can not open Google, Gmail, Facebook, Youtube as the main ones but it opens Twitter. I get no error messsage or anything, it just hangs and sometimes I go to make a cup of tea and when I get back google.ie is open.
Another thing that I notice is that I have a message saying "The google safe browsing Service is unavailable. No updates 110 days" I tried to untick and re-start Safari but I still ahve the same problem. I'm not sure if it has anything to do or not.
The strange thing is that I have another imac and macbook but the problem is only on this one. Chrome just crashes a lot so if I could get my Safari back would be great. If anybody has a suggestion I would really appreciate because I spent hours and I'm getting no results at all.

If the Network preference pane is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Then click
Advanced ▹ TCP/IP ▹ Configure IPv6: Off
Click OK and then Apply. Test.

Changing internet provider - can't connect to Internet

Hi,
I've changed my internet provider (from Bell to Videotron), so from a modem plugged into my phone line to a pure cable modem.
My laptop (Macbook Pro) doesn't connect to the wi-fi anymore. I connected my cable modem to the time capsule... the light on the capsule flashed (amber) then turned into green (which is good), my computer sees my wi-fi name as available network, but internet is not working.
I assume this is because I have now adifferent IP? But shoudn't the time capsule recognize automatically the new IP?

I plugged the Etherent cable directly into my laptop and I can connect to internet without problems.

You need to completely reset the modem. Push the reset button if it has one and power it off for at least 15-20 minutes. Pull the battery if it's easily accessible.
(Cable modems "remember" certain devices, and they must lose their memory before they can connect to a "new" device).
Power off the rest of your network as well.
Start the modem after the power down period and let it run for a few minutes by itself. Then start the Time Capsule and let it run a few moments. Then start your computers one at a time.
Sometimes, you must call the ISP to have them reset the device on their system if this is not successful.
Please post back on your progress.

Yes you will be unable to use your email address after June 30, 2012, if you do not update your MobileMe account to an iCloud account.
You can upgrade your account and continue to use the email address in your mail application by entering the details manually. You will not however be able to use any other features of iCloud.

Fast internet provider for rural area using older Mac

I have an iBook G4. Mac OSX10.5.8. I live in a rural area where there are no cell towers close by and dsl isn't an option. Which satellite internet provider would be most effective (fastest, most consistent with downloads) for my older Mac? I also have an Acer laptop, much newer. Would answer to question be the same for both laptops?

There are literally dozens of services on the Internet that provide ISP services comparisons. One, for example, is the Internet Provider Directory. I would suggest trying several to see if they concur for your particular area.

Firefox won't open after changing internet provider

changed from Comcast to TDS internet service and now my firefox will not open, but explores does, any suggestions. I have downloaded the most recent version.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

I have changed from Optus to TPG (internet) and I'm having problems setting up my wife email account; we always had 2 accounts , one each.when i create the slave account on tpg website doesn't transfer into Mail. Already have my account working fine. Please somebody have some ideas?

HP laserjet stops printing after change of internet provider - workaround : reinstall....

Hi,
my HP multi-function laserjet printer worked fine on my windows 7 laptop, via wifi connection, in the past ;
recently changed internet provider, and since, I do not manage to install the printer so that it works continuously.
After initial install (via cable connection between laptop and printer), all seems fine ;
I select "share with all users" ;
=> all OK, everything prints, for both users.
Problem:
Next time another user or myself try to print, just a couple of days later - nothing works anymore ;
NO error message ;
printer job is visible in queue ;
printer is visible (and selected as default printer) in "devices and printer" with a green checking mark, but in light grey, as if inactive.
When (right-)clicking "troubleshoot", no error is found.... but nothing prints, still.
How can I avoid doing the reinstall every time I want to print from my laptop???
(Printing from my tablet works fine !)

I see that you are experiencing issues printing from different user accounts. I will certainly do my best to help you.
I have provided a document for setting Security permissions for printing to see if that will help.
Can the Administrator Account on the computer print, or are they having intermittent issues also?
Download and run the Print and Scan Doctor. It will diagnose the issue and might automatically resolve it. Find and fix common printer problems using HP diagnostic tools for Windows?
What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (did it print or scan, any error messages)

Internet provider restrictions

My iPad 4 after changing internet provider service can't download applications larger than 10MB(tested a tens of times), so what can I do with this restrictions. Any apps or tricks to figure out or to bypass this issue.

That's a limitation enforced by the internet provider. There is no way to override that on the iPad. Go somewhere that you can download with more freedom, if there is anywhere for you to do that. A library, or any public WiFi hotspots in your area...if any exist.

Change Data Provider Based on ComboBox Selection

Complete noob using Flash CS5 for Macs. I have a ComboBox component and a TileList. I want the ComboBox selection to change the data provider for the TileList. I've used a sample script from the Adobe website at the bottom, but it is not working in this context. Google returns no better examples. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have created a dropdwon using Hovermenu and added English and German.
Now when I click on these the function should be called.
Please help me in getting how setClientSideScript() can be used to call a function.
or any other way to call the function after clicking on Hovermenu Item.

I need to reset my Apple ID on my ipad. My internet provider was bought by another company, so my user name changed. So now, when I go into itunes or the app store, I cannot update anything because it asks for my password, but not my apple id.

My internet provider changed, so my username changed. I need to be able to reset my appleid NOT my password. I can't find a way to do this. Here is a scenario. I want to go into the app store to update apps, so a box pops up asking for my password, but shows my appleid as the old name. I have reset the appleid on my mac and itunes at home and works there, but when I try to go into things on the ipad, it automatically comes up with a window asking for my password, but for my old id name. I went to the manage your id section, but it won't let me in because it wants the password to the old name. So I think I need to reregister the ipad with my new userid. Icloud, Itunes, app store, everything like that won't let me in because they still show the user id as the old name.

On the iPad - go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID. Tap on your old ID and sign out. Then sign in with your changed/new ID.
