Changing iPod format from Apple to Windows
My iPod is formatted for an Apple computer and I recently switched to a PC. I'm wondering: if I re-format my iPod for the PC, as is prompted when I plug it in, will I lose all of my files off of the iPod? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you will, restoring the iPod on Windows will erase and reformat the hard drive. There are third party programs that will allow you to use a Mac formatted iPod on Windows. XPlay for instance gets good reviews and has the added functionality to let you copy your songs back to iTunes. Once you have your songs saved to the PC you can go ahead and restore the iPod for Windows. You can purchase XPlay at this link: XPlay 2

CHANGING IPOD LINK FROM APPLE COMPUTER TO PC

Once you recovered the songs you could restore the iPod on your PC and format it for Windows: XPlay 2
If the iPod is already formatted for Windows there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows. The procedure is a bit involved and it won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. This is just a selection, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, they are generally quite straightforward. You can also read reviews of some of them here: Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes

If your iPod is set to update automatically take care when connecting back to your computer and an empty iTunes. You will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button: Managing content manually on iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again. -
How do you change the format from Windows to Mac
Does anyone know how to change the format from Windows to Mac? When I first bought my iPod I had windows but now would like to change this. Also is anyone aware why some tracks pause for 2 seconds and then carries on.
Restore the iPod in iTunes for Mac. Restoring will erase and reformat the iPod's hard drive, reload the software with the Mac version and put it back to default settings. Once the restore is complete follow the on screen instructions to name the iPod and automatically sync your songs and videos onto the fresh installation. Press Done and the iPod will appear in iTunes and start to sync. If you want to sync using selected playlists uncheck the box beside the sync automatically instruction and press Done, it will default to manual mode and you can choose whatever setting you like: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

Thanks in advacne.Hi,
Check the attributes of the smartforms or sapscripts.
You can give the option for landscape or potrait format.
For sapscript, the option is available in the basic settings tab.
For smartforms, the option is available in the output options in the page window.

iPod touch
When you received the iPod back from Apple did you have to set the iPod up?
If Apple exchanged your iPod, the one you received is like new, not yet setup
If they just returned your iPod, it was like it was when you sent it to Apple. -
Loading pc info into ipod formatted in apple mac
my brother loaded his itune library (apple mac) onto my new ipod. I unfortunatley have a hp pc and my ipod does not show up when i plug it into my computer. the prompt tells me to reformat the ipod and remove al the tunes from it. is there any way to convert all those tunes to pc format? and then restore the ipod in pc format?
hp pavilion Windows XPAn iPod formatted for Mac won't run natively on a PC because the Windows OS does not support the HFS Plus file system and therefore will not see the drive. You can reformat your iPod on Windows if you want to use it on both platforms as Macs can read Windows formatting I've seen posts on the forum where there have been problems but these would be the exception). Alternatively there are third party programs that will allow you to use a Mac formatted iPod on Windows, XPlay for instance will allow you to play your songs on a PC and even copy them to the computer: XPlay 2

Changing photo format from "microsoft word doc" to jpeg or other supported photoshop format
hi --
on my windows XP (home edition) i have many photos stored under "my documents." one is categorized as a "microsoft word document," despite the fact that it is a photo (this may be b/c i was very unskilled at the computer when i scanned this photo in and thus selected the wrong format? i'm still not "skilled" but i'm doing better!).
when i tried to import this photo into my photoshop album (starter edition 3.0), i got a message that says "format not supported" or something similar. how do i change the format of the photo so that it will be accepted into my photoshop album? i haven't had any trouble with photos in other formats (jpeg, etc.).
thanks very much for any assistance -- susie margaretOn my other computer I have a different photo software. Once I download the pictures from the card reader and left click on the photo I want, it simply gives me a choice to save it in the computer, under MY PICTURE or desktop etc. in jpg.
When I left click on the picture on the adobe photoshop 2.0 starter edition, it gives many choices such as : copy, turn, edit, but not saving.
How do I save it on the computer to add it to a real estate home sells website for pictures on the home advertisement or virtual tour. Also when the pictures were read off of the card reader it popped out all of the pictures 120 of them. I only need 3 of them saved. Please tell me step by step . Thank you. -
IPod switch from Mac to Windows to Mac
A while ago my Mac died and I had all of my music backed up to an external HD. My HD was formatted for Mac us so I downloaded a trial version of a software to move the music from my HD to my PC and then to my iPod. Now my Mac is back up and my PC is down. I forgot to mention that while using my PC I didn't realize that hitting delete was deleting items from my HD and not my iPod so all of my music is on my iPod and nowhere else. Is there a way to get my music off of my Windows formatted iPod to my Mac w/o having a PC available? My iPod is viewable on my Mac but songs won't move from th iPod to my PC. I had also downloaded shareware onto it a whil ago but even that isn't working. I would really like to keep my music. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
Thanks
PS I have over 10,000 songs if that makes a difference*Is there a way to get my music off of my Windows formatted iPod to my Mac*

What generation is the iPod classic from Apple's website?
I am looking to purchase an iPod classic 160GB from Apple's website, and I would like to purchase a third-party casing from Amazon.
After browsing Amazon, I realised that the iPods were classified as 6G,7G or earlier generations and I am pretty confused because it is only stated as "iPod classic" on Apple's catalogue.Sixth.

I checked the page format in form attribtes it is DINA4.Do in need to change the page format here.
Is there any settings for this.Plase advice.I appriciate your guidence in this regard. Thanks in advanceHi Vijay,
As the form is formated to A4, now the one A4 sheet and take a print out as well take a print with A6 sheet check the difference. If the data is not printed in right way then u need to do alignment.
If it's printing in the same as it used to be, then check the settings in SPAD.

We recently bought an Apple Mac and now I cannot download music from ITunes to my Ipod Nano. Although the name of the Ipod comes up, I cannot load any music on it any more. Our last computer had Microsoft software and I was told this is the reason the Mac will not allow any downloading. Do I have to clear the music off my Ipod and start again? Please help.
- To change ID go to Settings>Store and sign out and sign in with the one you want. If you iPod has iOS 5 you may have to also go to Settings>iCloud and sign into the second account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
