hello all, i registered time ago a itunesconnect account with the authorization of book distribution. I never uploaded a book, i now have a developer account in my apple id but i can't upload app. Is there a way to change my itunes connect account type or transfer the developer account to another one? thanks

i'm registered as an ebook reader producer so i can't upload app, i guess if there's a method to convert my account

As note already on the iBA forum [ AppleID for ibooks publishing ], you need two IDs. You can't use your developer ID.
If you already signed up for books with that ID, you need to talk to Apple to straighten things out.

HT2534 Best practice in setting up an iTunes Connect account for my business

I have a personal iTunes account but I want to create a separate business account so that I can sign up for iTunes Connect to create books? Any suggestions? Should I create a new iTune account or not. I would like to keep them separate but I don't need any of the other iTunes offereings such as music, etc. I just want an account so that I can open the ITunes Connect. Has anyone done that - with or without separating it from their personal. Actually, I have two businesses which deal with publishing so I would probably want Separate iTunes Connect accounts for both of them. Help?

Hi Andy,
Unfortunately, your registration experience seems to be fairly common. It tooks about 8 business days for us to receive our final approval.
One thing to confirm - about a day or two after submitting the original request, I received an email stating that I needed to review and execute the iTunes U Service agreement. Did you receive that email? It took about another 6 business days after that to complete the process.
Another thing to check - did you designate someone else as your Site Manager? That is the person that will recieve the final approval notice and the steps to initialize the site.

I've been trying to publish a book I've created on iBooks Author to the iBooks Store but I'm having a bit of trouble with iTunes Connect.
I've set it up and signed the contracts and I can access the dashboard on a web browser with my Apple ID however, when I try to log into it from the Publish wizard on iBooks Author it keeps coming up with an alert message saying that "this Apple ID isn't associated with an iTunes Connect account", even though... well... it is.
I was wondering if it was a possibility I might have missed something along the way to connecting my Apple ID to the iTunes Connect? I don't know what to do.
I really want to get my books onto the iBooks Store as soon as I can - I've tried going through publishers like Smashwords and BookBaby but I've not had much luck with them.... I would prefer to go direct through retailers like Apple and Barnes and Noble.

You can sign in to your BlackBerry ID by visiting www.bbid.com . From there you should be able to associate a new device to your BB ID.

Okay, so when signing in, it shows me the following error.
Apple ID does not have permission to access iTunes Connect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am getting the following message when trying to sign up with iTunesConnect for selling our companies eBooks.
"The iTunes Store account entered is already being used for an iTunes Connect account that distributes Apps. To continue with this application, you must enter a different iTunes account."
The email account I am using is not being used for distributing apps. We need to sell ebooks.
We DO have a developer account to sell apps but it is a different email address (confirmed).
How should I go about getting this straitened so we can get into iTunesConnect?

Do you have Facebook? Use that or any other similar online website you have access to.
Its basically a contact the author/support - much the same as you find in apps etc.
There are also many "free webs " which you just need to sign up and add your own text and images to a gixed free template. Do an online search for "free websites".

Well - just another brick in the wall. I tried to create a new application with a new Apple ID - but it wouldn't let me because my EIN is already associated with the application I sent two months ago. The message just tells me to log into iTunes Connect with my other Apple ID and manage my content. When I try to log into iTunes Connect, it tells me my Apple ID does not have access to iTunes Connect. (Because they haven't processed my original application)
Maybe I'm just not destined to sell books in the iBookstore.

How long has your developer account been in effect....sometimes it takes several days before new account information is migrated to all servers, etc. across the backend.
As well, be sure to use only Safari/mac...clear Safari caches and confirm you're using the correct logon.

I recently just purchased an iPhone 4 second hand and I'm unable to change the iTunes U account information on the phone. I'm constantly being sent the course lessons for iTunes U for the previous owner. When I try to change the settings in itunes U it asks me for the login and account of the previous owner even though in the general preferences of the phone I have successfully changed the account information to my own for the phone and the app store. I can't find any place on the phone where I can change the itunes U login information to remove/change the previous owner's account to mine.

I use my Mac Mini at home as my media server/HTPC, and contains my iTunes library. I want to copy all my music to my MacBook Air for work, as my internet at work is too slow for iTunes Match to work effectively. Therefore, I was going to set Automatic Downloads for music on both Macs so that they would stay in sync.
However, I have both an Australian iTunes store account and an old UK one, which I still use to download BBC TV programmes from. According to the Apple KB though:
"Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days."
Does this mean that I can't change the store from AU to UK for 90 days? Or is the Apple ID you use in the store different to the device's Apple ID?

I'm having this problem too (except with from Japan to US)! Did you ever get a solution? I don' want to create a new account because I want to keep all of my purchases.

I changed my email account for iTunes on the apple.com website. The apple site recognizes it, but when I use my iPad and want to download a new podcast, it shows my old email. How do I get my iPad to recongize the new email? Do I have to sync it to my computer first?
