    How do I change my Itunes account for apps? When I go to update my apps, it still has my old account (my password does not work) and I have since created a new account (divorce issues). I have made a new password request for my old account and I do not get an email from Apple to do so. Everything else on my iphone is under my new account (Itunes, store, etc).

    You can't. Apps are DRM protected & tied to the account used to originally purchase them. Contact iTunes support & request they add the apps in question to your download queue for your new account. Explain the situation & most likely, they will do so:

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    I changed my Apple ID, Itunes on my Itouch recognizes it, but the app store does not. How can I change AppleID for App Store? When I try to update my apps it asks for the password for my old Apple ID which does not exist anymore.

    Thank you for the reply. I've done that twice and have no problem getting into the ITunes store. Problem is that I have 12 apps that want to be updated. I go to App Store and slect to "update all" and first thing it does is bring up my old AppleID (no place to change it) and asks for the password for that Apple ID.
    I tried doing a sync to my computer in case that would work, but no help. I wonder if I will have to do a complete reset just to fix this???

    i'm new to apple products hence all the questions, i'm english speak english and live in spain, i have installed the  uk english version of itunes, set my region in windows to uk, but when i want to buy something i get sent to spanish i tunes store, can i change this to english or is it looking at my isp.
    maybe i should login to my apple id and change my address to the uk and see if this reflects in the store

    I set my family sharing up for my 3 kids on the wrong itunes account.  I tried to change the itunes sharing to the right account under the icloud family sharing on my iphone 6 but I am getting a message that i must wait 90 days prior to changing the account.  How do i change it now?

    The family organizer is the one who agrees to pay for iTunes Store purchases.  To learn more about Family Sharing purchases, please see the inforamtion outlined below.
    With Family Sharing, one adult in the family—the family organizer—agrees to pay for any iTunes, iBooks, and App Store purchases that other family members initiate while they're part of the family group.     I have changed the iTune store account name and want to update for App Store, so that I can updates applications. How to change the account name on the App Store? I changed in the Setting but it doesn't affect in the App Store. Thanks for your help.

    I think you need to login to a different iTunes account from within iTunes, then sync your iPhone/iPod Touch. It should then have your other store account as the default.

    Im trying to sign for a publisher account to download the iTues producer when I enter my info and cause Im a registered
    app developer it gives me a message that this account is already asociated with app developing account so do i need 2
    separate accounts one for apps and one for ibook publishing ?

    Different accounts use different "usernames" which is in fact an email address.  And yes each account can purchases apps, music, books etc,.   BUT.... Apple require that  a different account is required for:-
    Free Books.
    Paid Books
    Developer account.
    Although its at first it was OK to use a "standard" iTunes Account to open a free iBook account - its no longer allowed, so maybe the  iTunes account also now needs to be a separate account from others.

  • I am trying to free up space on my hard drive. I am wondering what if any of the itunes files for apps or music can be deleted without affecting the use of them in the future if they are loaded on my i phone and i pad 2?

    When I search my hard drive to find space for freeing up memory I have a lot of files for Apps, and music.  I am wondering if these are pertinant and need to be kept on my hard drive, or if I can remove them in any way.

    I am going to revise my question to this.  If I compress my itunes folder which would save me a considerable amount of space will this make the music and apps information stored in there unsyncable?

  • How to change apple id for app updates

    The user id that displays on my ipod is correct on the settings menu but when I try to update my apps, the apple id that displays (and wants a password) is one that I no longer use.  How can I change the apple id for this one function to my current correct one?  I've tried poking around all the settings and can't find where to change it.  Once it is changed, I can then use my regular password.   Thanks!

    It sounds like you may have downloaded or purchased applications from two different Apple IDs. To update those applications, you will need to sign in to the Apple ID that downloaded the applications initially.     I recently added my daughter's Apple ID to iTunes. Now her ID shows up when I try to buy apps with my touch. How do I get my ID to show instead? I've tried logging out and in again in iTunes on my Mac.

    Usually it's because you are not connecting to the internet via wifi.

    Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

  • Creative Cloud - BUG Changing Installation Directory for Apps

    I searched and could only find this similar post here

    Which stated the issue I am experiencing.  In the preferences of the creative cloud desktop program I changed the installation directory to D drive because I have my main hard drive partitioned and the programs would take up too much space on C.  Regardless of the change in preferences the applications were still installing to my C drive.  I tried restarting and reinstalling and nothing seemed to work. 
    Finally I decided to reallocate my D partition back to C, I have yet to complete this because I am waiting for all the data on D to be transferred to an external drive so I can recombine it to C without losing data ( I don't know if this is necessary, I haven't recombined partitions in the operating system before, but just to be safe)
    ANYWAY
    As I am waiting for the transfer (Over 120gbs takes a while)  I changed the installation directory in the Creative Cloud preferences back to C and went ahead and installed the program I was trying to prior to all this.  Guess What?  It installed to my D drive!!!
    This isn't a serious bug for me, just incredibly annoying and causing a lot of extra work on my part just to install the program I wanted.  However for someone who requires a different directory to install to and cannot rearrange their computer to accommodate this bug I could see it being more serious.  Has anyone else had this issue and did you find a solution?  Thanks.
    P.S. Adobe you rock, I hope your other CC programs don't feel rushed for release like your installer does

And yes, I am ready to spend over xxxx on a suit vs adobe because of how you have treated me. The point is I know that I am not alone, and that's sad.
    Then after TECH NO SUPPORT, CSRs try to 'handle' me:
    If you do decide to cancel, we can refund your subscription.
    If you stay with the service, we can provide 2 free months as an apology for the technical difficulties. We cannot provide a free year.

And now the word is out that you are raising subscription prices after the first year? Who do you think you are? You HURT peoples ability to earn a living! You cost us hours and days and months trying trying to fix your problems so we can move forward with your products? Who in the hell do you think you are? Tell you what, dont cancel a thing. A media blitz and maybe a subpoena to San Jose is the right move to protect peoples rights. Your company needs to learn a lesson in how to treat legacy customers. It seems no one has taught you that "if you take care of the customer, they will take care of adobe." Britt, care to guess how many dollars I have given adobe in almost 30 years?

    ADOBE CUSTOMER: You see, that is EXACTLY how you should take care of a customer. Tell them they are wrong and have it NOT RELATED to a simple request to FIX a company software PROBLEM. Tell your customers that after FOUR months of unusability of your product, DAYS of the customer trying to fix the company problem, that your solution is give them TWO months FREE then JACK the price up for them! You MUST have thousands of people in LINE to YOU to get this celebrated DEAL!

    ADOBE CUSTOMER: The Russian cracked version of PS 2014 will have to do on another clients machine until you have a total new WORKING release. I'm tired of being your company's test pig, doing the boiler plate cleaner routines, and having the same failures. It's one thing to have broken software, but NOT acceptable to treat customers the way I have been treated, and then, be greedy on a remediation offer from you.
    You say,"We value all our customers."  Again, clearly NO ONE from the BOD has taught you that if you take care of the customer, then the customer will take care of adobe.
