Changing iWorks 06 Trial to Legal Full Version

As part of iLife 06 that came with my OSX Tiger Intel Install Disks for my iMac Core Duo 20 " (MA200LL/A), I got the iWorks 06, 30 day Trial version. Since iWorks 06 is such legacy software, can I legally use it as a paid version by converting the existing trial version. I use Open Office as my office software, am quite happy with it, but I just want to play with iWorks 06, learn about it, so I might never use it as my main office software but I want more than 30 days to play. As a reference, a call to Apple tech support concerning the use of Appleworks 6.2.9 for the same purpose, got the official reply that Appleworks is now Freeware, public domain, so whereever I can get a copy I can legally use it. Can the same apply to iWorks 06 Trial?

There is no way I can locate that Apple tech again, but this was his answer to my question which I put on the Appleworks forum:
I know I put this question to the forum some months ago but I now have the exact reply from an Apple Software Support Tech (in Montreal Quebec, I am in Ontario so a fellow Canuck!!) with whom I just spoke, having an actual Apple Case Number. If you recall I was asking whether Appleworks 6.2.9 is now free public software. The answer is YES!! Apple no longer sells or supports Appleworks 6.2.9 (think of it as public domain freeware!!) so no matter from where we obtain the software (torrents, blogs etc.), we are free to use it without cost, registration etc. I know its for sale on Amazon, some Mac retailers, but has no connection to Apple. I got my OSX copy from the following:

Too old legal full version ?

If someone could help with the following I'd appreciate it !
Here's the thing. About a year ago I bought a PS upgrade version CS4. I already had a legal full version of PS 6.0 - yes I know, an oldy - so I entered both serial numbers and installed CS4. No problem there.
But now I got a new computer, so reinstalling CS4 would be a breeze. But no...
I installed PS6.0. All ok. I installed the upgrade, and there it was : from the drop down list of previous versions installed I couldn't select PS6, the list started with CS.
So I chose evaluation version instead and entered the serial no. afterwards. That didn't help either because I got the same list of previous installed versions that started with CS...
So, obviously my question is : how do I get PS CS4 to acknowledge the serial number of PS 6.0 ??

Being able to directly upgrade from PS6 to PS11 (CS4) seems wrong--too many versions have elapsed, and so your original scenario may have been a fluke where there was a bug on the activation server and it allowed the upgrade when it shouldn't have, and the bug has since been fixed.
You should probably just buy the upgrade to CS5 and use the CS4 as the prior version, and consider your original time with CS4 as a gift that never should have occurred. CS(1) being the oldest valid direct upgrade path to CS4 sounds about right.
If you can find documentation from Adobe that says PS6 to PS11 is a valid direct upgrade path, then call Adobe and see what they say; otherwise, you're likely out of luck.

Downloaded free trial and need full version

I am trying to install cc on new computer but downloaded the free trial. How do I change it over to my full version?

Our company has just download the trail version for Sun One Web Server 6.1. Now we are all happy with it and going to buy a full version. My question is do we need to reinstall the trail version or there is a place to enter the licence key? We all don't want to redo it again since there are so many custom steps already done.

You don't need to reinstall or enter a license key. There is only one release of the software. There aren't separate "trial" and "full" versions, only different license agreements.

Change from Office Test Drive to Full Version without losing files

So my trial is almost up and I need to download the full version. In browsing earlier discussions, it seems there are a few different ways to uninstall Test Drive - how should I do it so that none of the Word docs I saved get lost?

Just open them with NeoOffice and it should be fine.
Note that if you thereafter need to send a document to a use of Microsoft Office, you'll want to make sure that NeoOffice saves it in an Office-compatible format (the default document format isn't Office-compatible, and I can't find a way to reset that default format though there may be an option I'm missing).

Trial vs. Full version of LabView

I am preparing to test Labview version 2009 for use on our Air Force networks on behalf of an Air Force customer. I have a few questions concerning the 30 day trial version available for download. 1. Is the 30 day trial version of LabView 100% of the functionality as in the fully licensed version (except for the time limitation obviously)?2. Are all the modules in the trial have 100% of the functionality as the full, licensed version? I've been burned too many times testing trial versions only to find they were in fact not 100% the same as the final, licensed version.

The LabVIEW Evaluation is of LabVIEW Professional Development System and has 100% of the functionality of the licensed version except for the watermark that is applied to your front panels and locking the block diagrams of functionality not included in the LabVIEW Base Development package (you can still use those functions, you just can't see how they are implemented 'under-the-hood' like you can in the licensed version).

Can I switch credit cards and upgrade from the "Basic 30 day opt out trial" to the full version?

It seems the free trial does not allow me to create an HTML web form. To test the HTML web forms I must pay $0.99 for the 30 opt-out trial...
I want to test an HTML web form on FormsCentral for a few weeks to "kick the tires". But I work for a City government that requires leaping through bureauracratic hurdles to purchase online with a credit card.
So I am considering using my own personal credit card for the trial, and then opting-out.
If my testing goes well and once I get the purchase requisition processed by the City bean counters, I plan to re-enroll using the City P-Card as the credit card.
Question:
Can I save the HTML web forms created during the 30 day opt-out trial and somehow transfer them into the new Employer funded FormsCentral account? Or can I somehow reinstate the original account I opted out of, and apply a different credit card for that account?

I'll do my best to answer your questions.
First, the "Free" Formscentral account does allow you to create HTML web forms, that is the basis of the product and the Free level account gives you most of the HTML forms creation tools to explore. I'd recommend kicking the tires in the Free account and exploring the list of features you'd get by upgrading.
If you sign up for a "Basic 30 day opt out trial" you should be able to manage your account/subscription information here:

) On this page you should see your FormsCentral subscription listed and it will show how long until it expires and allow you to manage the account and billing information there.
If for whatever reason you needed to create a new account after approval from the bean counters you could share any forms that you created in the original account with the new account and then "Duplicate" the forms, you would lose the original URL to the form (each form would get a new URL when they were duplicated) but the form would be identical and you can duplicate with the responses. Another option is to "Export design file" from the first account and then import that into the new account.

Move from trial to full version of Aperture 3

I have been using the trial version of Aperture 3 for a week now, and I am really impressed with it. I would like to buy the App version from the App Store. What is the best way of doing this? Do I have to remove the trial version and then purchase and install the App version, or do I just purchase and install the App version and it will overwrite the trial version? I have read a few threads where someone went from the trial to the full version and because of the way then did it, it could not accept updates because it was still being seen as a trial version. I am still new to Apple and not comfortable with the way Macs handle software installation and removal. Any help will be appreciated.

We're in a kind of limbo with Aperture right now because of the transition to the Mac App Store. Logically that BUY link should take you to the MAS and let you buy from there without having anything else to do. But I don't know if they've changed it to do that — you'll have to try and see for yourself.
What may happen is that it'll work like it did before and you'll instead get taken to the Apple Store and be offered the $199 full version or $99 upgrade. Which is a little odd and — I have to agree with you — very un-Apple.
Basically there are two versions of Aperture 3 floating around: the $79 MAS version and the $199 Apple Store version. Both are identical in function but the $199 version still works with a serial number. You also get a DVD but frankly I haven't used an Aperture DVD since version 1.5 (I've been downloading the trial and purchasing a serial number upgrade since then).
Confusing? Yeah, it is.
But unless you want to pay more for the same thing, I'd go with the $79 MAS version. You might not even have to delete the trial but it's just a precaution in light of certain stories on this forum. Deleting the trial application won't affect anything you've done with Aperture 3 until now so don't worry, it's really not a big deal.

Error in converting SQL 2014 Trial to Full version using VLKey

I am currently trying to upgrade my SQL 2014 evaluation version to the full version.
I have purchased a Volume License for SQL Server 2014 Server/CAL and have extracted the product key from the ISO File.
I have verified this product key with the product activation department and it is confirmed that it is a valid product key "ProdKey3 SQL Svr Standard Edtn 2014 00204 PA/BP VL:GVLK Pre Pidded"
However, when i input the product key in to the server, it is showing me the error message:
The SQL product key is not valid, enter key from certificate of authenticity or SQL server packaging
Checked on the version of the evaluation and this is the edition - Microsoft SQL Server 2014.0120.2000.08
The site that I am activating the server on does not have any internet connection, does this affect the activation?
Would there be an alternate phone activation method for converting to Trial to Full?

Converting Trial to Full Version

I have an old computer with acrobat pro x and I have the license number. I have a new computer with acrobat pro xi trial version. i want to convert the trial to the full version. I just paid for the upgrade. Where do i put the license number?

Trial versions are normally full versions, they are just limited by the amount of time you can try them. Your serial number for the old version will not work for the new version, except to help confirm the upgrade during activation. You need to purchase the upgrade and that should end up providing you with a serial number for the new version.

Can the trial into a full version (license and media are now available) to convert (something I really want to wg. Not the beta stage of the trial) to convert?
Or someone has a link where the migration of a test sharepoint described?
Or you can extend the trial period anyway, so the SP can be transferred manually to the new one?
Unfortunately, some of his colleagues was the beta Sharepoint used as a real and we do not get to the discarded structures / documents ...
I should know, do not you - you know anyway advice?

Trouble converting iWorks trial to full version

Background: I have a macbook pro, upon which I installed iWorks trial many months ago. I've only just gor around to attempting to click on the links provided to buy the full version. I suspect I'm running into difficulties because I've notice that support for the iWorks trial was withdrawn in April. I'm seemingly unable to upgrade to full version and am only seeing options to purchase Pages, Numbers etc., separately.
Question/concern: My question is whether or not I should uninstall the trial version (which I don't yet know how to do) and start over, than attempt to download these individual products, as I'm not sure whether this will interfere with what's already on my MacBook Pro. Any advice about this appreciated.

Easiest way to uninstall iWork is to use Yvan's script
You cannot completely delete iWork by moving the iWork '09 folder to the Trash. Instead, use Yvan Koenig's script:
          •          Go to http://www.box.com/s/00qnssoyeq2xvc22ra4k
          •          Choose public_YK > for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items
          •          Click on uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button
Then you can buy and download the application from the Mac App Store, if you have MAcOs 10.6.6 or newer.
