Changing language in Mac OS X 10.5

I live in Spain and have just bought a new MacBook Pro. When installing I thought I was smart to go for an English keyboard, even if the physical keyboard is Spanish.But this was not a smart thing to do at all. There are just so many keys that are different that it is more or less impossible to remember the differences. And to use the keyboard viewer is also time consuming, so how do I change back in order to get the Spanish physical keyboard in tune with the right keys?

You go to system prefs/international/input menu and uncheck US and check the box for Spanish or Spanish ISO, plus the box for "Show input menu in Finder." Then select Spanish or Spanish ISO and see which fits your physical keyboard.

    Change your OS X language
    Your Mac is set to display the language for the country in which you bought the computer. For example, if you bought your Mac in the United States, your Mac is set to English. If you bought your Mac in France, your Mac is set to French. But if you prefer to use a different language, you can.

    You should be able to switch in the preferences.
    From the Library menu on Windows go to Edit >> Preferences (Lightroom >> Preferences on Mac)
    Choose the General tab, and then use the drop down list for language. Select Swedish and then click OK.
    Quit Lightroom.
    Re-start Lightroom.

    in my library I found this entry:
    There's actually just one version of Reflow, and it presents the language in the UI based on your Mac Language preference.
    I've seen this happen when switching between languages on Mac.
    Try this:
    1. open your Mac Language & Region preferences
    2. select English as your preferred language
    3. run Reflow (it should show up all in English), then quit Reflow
    4. go back to preferences and select German
    Reflow should now show just English in the user interface. No reboot, uninstall, reinstall, or clean is required.
    On the other hand there is a German "cookbook":
    Dazu öffnet man im Ordner, in dem PSE gespeichert ist (üblicherweise "Programme/Adobe Photoshop..."), den Unterordner "Locales > de_DE > Support Files". Hier findet man die Datei "tw10428.dat", die man in ein anderes Verzeichnis verschiebt (nicht kopieren, die Datei muss aus "Support Files" entfernt werden). Beim nächsten Programmstart von PSE erscheint die Programmoberfläche englischsprachig. Die deutsche Version gibt es wieder, wenn die Datei "tw10428.dat" an ihren alten Platz zurückgelegt wird.
    And here my try to translate it in English:
    For this, open the folder where you saved the PSE is (usually "Program Files / Adobe Photoshop ..."), the subfolder "locale> en_US> Support Files". Here you will find the file "tw10428.dat" that you move to a different directory (do not copy, the file must be removed from the "Support Files"). Next time you start PSE from the program interface appears in English. The German version is available again if the file "tw10428.dat" is put back to its original location.

    In the Pages Info on my English language OSX 10.5.6 all the languages are spelled out in full, not abbreviated as in the above example, which is in Tiger.
    Also all the languages are checked but that doesn't change your menus and Pages' GUI. To do that you will have to go to the +System Preferences > International…+ and change your language to Polski by dragging it to the top of the list.
    I have done this before for Norsk Bokmål. Be careful it does change the language throughout Pages but odd things happened when I tried to change it back. The Norsk stuck in some of the palletes like the Media Browser and I eventually had to restart my computer to shake it off.
    You may have better luck.

    Do you have Acrobat 10 or an older version?  If you have a copy of Acrobat 10 then you can complete the process detailed in Order an Adobe product platform swap or language swap to obtain a Mac OS version.
    If you have an older version then you will want to purchase the upgrade to Acrobat 10.  We no longer offer older versions of Acrobat.
