Changing Layout for Room Directory

Hello All,
I need to change the Layout for Room Directory,
For this,i did,
1) KM -> CM -> User Interface -> Settings -> Layout Set -> Search for Room Directory(Taking duplicate and named as Room Directory 1) -> Changed the Display Properties for private, public and restricted Rooms.
2) Changed the Layout Settings Property for the Room Directory iView.
But it is not reflecting, anything has to be change?

Hi,
From the link, I posted you can see that the folder settings take precedence over IView settings (Exception: Layout Set Mode Force).
Check this to define layoutset on the folder:

The problem here is that your folder already has a layoutset defined on it and this takes precedence over your IView settings. So either you set your new layoutset on folder or remove exisiting layoutset of the folder so that your iview settings take precedence.
I am not sure why IView settings Layout Set Mode Force, does not exist on RoomDirectory IView, if set to this mode then IView settings are taken even layoutset on folder exists.

I believe it is restricted by the length of the line which is about 70 characters or something like that. so there is no portrait or landscape option.

How to change layout for list display in background

Hi All,
I want to change layout for the list display of tcode fbl1n when i execute in background. is there anyway to select our own layout when i execute in background. When i execute in foreground we can change the layout by selecting change layout button, but how it possible when in backgroung, is there any way please let me know.

Hi,
Create a list variant by executing the program and changing the layout and saving..
Then use the "Layout" parameter in the selection screen and give the variant you created earlier...
Then while executing in background the list variant will be pickedup accordingly (given in the selection screen)..

Change Layout for Document Access Right

Dear SAP B1 dev. team and management,
I have read the LICENSE COMPARISON CHART in the following link:

I find that there is a confusing functionality in the sales A/R. It is change layout for document. Does it means change PLD for document ?
In the chart, the change layout for document acess right is full for logistict users. Does it means that all users that assigned with limited logistics will be able to change the default PLD before they start to print the delivery order ?
if yes, the SAP B1 8.8 SP00 PL12 seems has bugs. I said so because the user with limited logistic (LL) can open the PLD icon to change the layout they want to use. The chart info seems uncorrect and the SBO end users can claim that it's deceitful.
Could you check it and create hotfix for your B1 8.8 SP00 PL12 ? Thanks in adv.

Upgraded to iphoto 11 to change layouts for a book I am making. Help!

Upgraded to iphoto 11 to change layouts for a book I am making.
Layout change went great but now I have text in the lower right hand corner of my cover that I cannot remove.
It is the old title of the book but smaller and where the page number would be. Show/Hide page number has no effect although changing the font for page numbers does affect the text.
I really do not want to start over. I have tried changing layouts to no avail. I wish I could make a new cover and just import it to replace the one I have. Any ideas? Is there a command line fix that could solve this?

check a preview of the book and see if it is there - Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.

Go to IMG - Public Sector Management - Funds Management Government - Budget Control System (BCS) - Budgeting - Budget Entry - Budget Entry Documents - Document Definition - Define Layout for Budgeting Workbench. There you can define layout with the default for budget category.

Boot loop after changing permissions for /applications directory

Hi there,
i have an imac with leopard OS. After a program install complained about missing priviliges for /applications directory
i adjusted the permissions for this folder. I changed admin user right from read to read/write and added another user, also with read/write rights.
After applying the permissions (including subdirectories) i rebooted.
Now the mac doesn`t come up anymore. It boots, shows the apple and the turning wheel and after 3-5 minutes boots again in a loop.
Any ideas highly aprreciated....

Hi Aziz,
You will not be able to Make 2nd Layout as default from Report and Layout Manager.
You need to run Warehouse Report and After Warehouse Report Result appears then you need to Click on Layout Designer from Menu Bar.
When Click on Layout Designer for Warehouse Report Result then on you will be able to make 2nd Layout as default for Warehouse Report.

How to Change Layout for Detail iview.

Hi KM Gurus
I need to know , where to change the Layout set for Detail Iview.
Briefly saying....
1. In KM under /documents ,i have a Folder by the name "MY_FOLDER"
2. On click of the "Detail" wedge -
> we get by default the screen of layout similar to [View -->Overview ]
All i am looking is , instead of Overview, i want the Feedback layout as default on click of the "Detail" wedge of Folder.
Note : take a note on MY_FOLDER ---> Details --> View --> Overview / Feedback..
Any pointer on this would be highly appreicated...

An Overview is hardcoded as default (initial) screen of the Details Dialog Box.
Thereby, out of the box KM Configuration allows you to:

define which areas appear in the standard overview in the right-hand screen area. You can also change the sequence of the areas. For example, you can always display feedback at the very top, and hide public comments. Changing layout for VF04

When running the billing due list (VF04) for order related documents, our users want to see the field "order reason" in the results. I am not able to add any fields in the results of VF04. I checked the layout settings and found that SAP does not allow any layout changes for this screen.
From what I understand, SAP is not allowing to do this because VF04 results contain both orders and deliveries, which means the results come from different tables. Is this why SAP does not allow layout changes for this transaction?
If I want to include "Order reason" for VF04 results (at least for Order related billing docs), what do I need to do?

You copy the Standard program of VF04 then you add "order reason" field in the selection screen of the VF04 with the help of ABAPer, and also mention the logic and source tables for that field,your requirement will be fullfilled.

Changing Layout for Device Apps Panel

It is a minor matter but the layout of the Apps panel for my iPad seems to have changed and I see no way to change it back. At one time, the icons for home screens were arrayed to the right of the Window for the home screens. Now they are arrayed below. I'd like to cahnge it back but see no preference that affects this. What have I missed?

You still apparently haven't read the tutorial on using Layout Managers to understand the capabilites of each Layout Manager.
For instance, within the constructor of one of my JFrames using
System.out.println(this.getHeight()); prints 0, when of course this is not the case in reality for the frame's heightComponents don't have a size until the GUI is visible on the screen. That is until you've done a pack(), or a setVisible( true ). You should never be using setSize().
Layout Managers use setPreferredSize() ,setMinimumSize() and setMaximumSize() as suggestions for determining the layout. Although most layout managers don't use all the suggestions, which is why you need to read the tutorial to find out how the layout managers work.
I'm now having trouble trying to figure out how to only resize the height
of a JTabbedPane yet keep the width fixedWell, I don't understand the requirement. The preferred size of a tabbed pane is equal to the preferred size of the largest tab added to the tabbed pane. So I don't understand the concept of artificially changing the vertical height.
Anyway reread the tutorial on "How to Use the Border Layout". Two of the 5 areas respect the width of the component but alter the height to fill all the available space.

Changing layout for non interactive form - lisence

Hi Experts,
Here is the scenario. In ESS, display travel form would show up a standard adobe form. If we changed the format hiding or adding new field would be there any additional license for that (note that this form is not interactive)? From what i understand additional license only apply to interactive form. Please advice.

You say "non-interactive", what means "print form". Adobe forms as "print forms" replace Smartforms and are ready to be used free of charge. You should need no additional license for your "new" form.

Change Layout For Background Report

Hi,
I have a report that when executed in background - the light in frontground report running is shown as number. I want to change number into light when executed in nackground. Can somebody help? when we r running the report in background - we want some other processing based on field values.

if you are talking about Trafic lighs then it is not possible , but you can interpretate the values from the back ground output.

Changing Layout on screen with multiple sections

Hello Gurus,
How can we change layouts for 3 different sections of the screen after executing single transaction.. It allows only one layout to set as default but other two remain unchanged. how can we change layouts for each section on the same screen.

Hi Agnes,
Enable 'Suppress Blank Section" option in Section Expert for those 3 footer section.
Go to Section Expert.
Click on the particular section(Say FooterA)
In the Commen tab, Check 'Suppress Blank Section" (5th one).
Do the same for Other two.
