Changing left and right margins

I want to produce a document which will have the pages printed back to back and then bound.
I would like  the margins on the inside of the pages to be wider than those on the outside. As I will be printing back to back this means the wider margin will alternate, on the left for p1, on the right for p2 etc.
As far as I can see this is not possible in Pages. Is the only way round this to basically produce two documents one for the odd numbered pages, the other for the even?

Yes it is possible in Pages.
It is called Facing Pages, which has been removed from Pages 5 along with 100 other features, but exists in Pages '08/'09.

  • Enlarged photos show white borders on left and right margins

Should these white margins be present when viewed in enlarged format? I can't get rid of these left and right margins when printing 4x6 borderless format so I assume it needs to be corrected in iphoto first.

    Did you crop your photos?
Most digital cameras use a 3:4 aspect ratio. When you print onto 4X6 paper, you will have bands on the sides of the photos. It's the same thing as watching a "letterboxed" movie on television with the bands at the top and the bottom.

  • Remove left and right margin when display portlets

What is the best way to remove the left and right margin when display portlets?
    I found a file called \portalpages\dotnet\prod\src\com\plumtree\portalpages\browsing\myportal\/
    MyPortalContentView.cs
But I do not see a place for the left and right margins. What is the correct place to modify these margins? (How about the top and bottom margins too?)
    See the green highlight?

That's it yeah, seems to curve upwards at the sides. Dunno whether leaving a heavy book on it might sway it back into position?!
I had the display upgraded when I bought it so presumed it could have been done whilst 'in operation'. Apart from that there's nothing wrong with it really, doubt it's something they would take it back on anyway.

  • Justify left and right margins of text

Is there any way to justify both left and right margins of text in the P Pro CS5.5 titler?
    TIA

    Colin,
That is correct. I would guess that it was added about PS ver. 4.0, when Text went from Raster to Vector, while working in the Image. The Paragraph Palette controls Justification.
    Jay,
Thanks for the Feature Request. While I seldom alter Justification in Titler, there are some other aspects from PS (and AI and InDesign), that would be useful, such as full Alignment. I keep requesting that, plus some others (Spell Check would be nice, but even PS does not offer that... ), but so far, Adobe has either not been able to adapt Titler, or there have just been too few requests. As Adobe has added concentration on PrPro, it might well be that more requested features will begin showing up. Here's hoping.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - for major Title work, I usually just go to AI, and then PS (or maybe only PS) to create them as PSD's. Titler is quite good, and so very useful, but when I want/need more, I just fire up another Adobe program.

  • Change left and right two finger drag direction on MBP

Does anyone know how to change the 2 finger drag direction. The left and right don't drag with the direction but in reverse. if you pull left the image goes right and vise a verse.
    Thanks,

This is how every computer has handled scrolling since scrolling was invented i believe. No settings or preferences in the Mac OS (or any system/application i ever saw) will change this. Try a google search you might find something there.
IMO it's best to get used to it, even if it can be changed you will have issues using scrolling on every other computer you use

  • How to add left and right margins in Topic?

    Hi
I am using RH10, as part of TCS4. I am creating screen layouts by just modifying the existing ones.
I noticed that there is no margin/ space between the topic border and the topic content in it. When I searched for that in mobile.css, I did not find any relevant reference. When I did a Inspect Element on Firefox, it pointed to default.css which I don't find in my Project Setup pod.
How can I modify it? Here is the screenshot of the issue I am referring to:
    Please advise.
    Sreekanth

Or right click the css, click Edit With > HTML Editor and apply a margin left and margin right to the Body tag.  That will affect all the styles in one go.

  • Split header at the left and right margins

I want to split my header where the book name is by the left margin and chapter title on the right margin. Is this possible?

Hi Jerry:  This is my issue. As you can see, I have to tab over and then space over to get it over to the right margin.  Seems like quite a silly issue, but I can't figure this one out!  Also, in my format toolbar, I can't find the tab that's in your screenshot, nor do I find it when I go to customize toolbar. I'm sure this is an easy fix, and I'm overthinking it.
    Thanks for responding.

  • Extending width all the way to left and right?

If you look into the website :
    http://mcec.my/
You scroll down and under the sponsor section where you see a pink background, how do you extend the background all the way across the browser screen when the page load?
Because now the left and right side is white and looks weird...
Thanks for any help in advance

The reason that the pink area does not stretch accross the page is because it is constrained by the outer container div.
Your site structure is a typical method of centering a website in the browser.  Everything gets placed in a container which is give a width and a left and right margin of auto.
The way to change it is to get that section of the page out of the container.  Place it under the rest of the page in it's own container and then add the pink background to that.  You might then need to put the content of that section in another div and use the same technique to centre it.
You can see that with the top section of the page, the effect is achieved with a graphic.  You could to the same again with a pink graphic and then try to set that in the CSS.  However, this won't be easy if the content of your pages changes.

I am writing a book and need to have the margins alternating left and right pages, so that there is sufficient margin for the binding. I have tried different inside and outside margins, the same inside and outside margins, facing pages, changing the master, and I cannot get the margins to alternate at print time. The larger margin is always on the left. Can anyone please help me on this, as I have spent hours and lots of ink.

Set up as facing pages with a larger inside margin.

  • How to adjust the green (starting) and the red (end) rectangles pixel by pixel (top, bottom, left and right) by changing the number of pixels in ken burns.

How to adjust the green (starting) and the red (end) rectangles pixel by pixel (top, bottom, left and right) by changing the number of pixels in ken burns. Help please.

If you look closely at the top of the canvas pane, as you move either of the boxes (green or red) there is an indication of pixel positions... "top, bottom, left, right," and "scale."
Admittedly, it doesn't seem as if you can "enter" the dimensions with your keyboard, however, as you move the boxes, you have a real time indication of the boxs' locations.
(I couldn't take a screen shot, as you have to actively move the box with a mouse or other input device... thus, I could not also take a screen shot with same device.)
    I hope this helps.

  • How to fill up my laptop screen with Firefox horizontally as it currently has a 3" margin on the left and right sides?tly has a

I just purchased a 17.3" screened-laptop using MS Outlook and Explorer 9 Browser. I cannot use Firefox as my default Browser because I cannot get Firefox to fill up my screen. When I open up Firefox, it maintains a large 3" margin on the left and right sides which does not exist when I open up Explorer 9. Increasing the font size only increases the text size vertically but does nothing to decrease the margin size horizontally.

You can use this extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:
