Changing Look and Feel - BPS status and tracking system

HI,
I 'd like to know if there is a way to customize the web page that appears when you launch the transaction BPS_STS_START (Starts BPS Status and Tracking System). I believe that it's an automatically generated page, that takes from somewhere an html template. Is there a way to change that html template?
For example, how could I insert a logo, insert titles, change fonts, etc.
I 'll appreciate if somebody send me some related documentation.

Hi Christian,
the STS is a BSP-Application(have a look at TA SE80).
You can copy this BSP to your own customer-namespace(YTUNGUSKA) and you can change all pages and views you would like. You can integrate other stylesheets, logos or you can modify the logic of events triggered by buttons and so on. Please note: If you copy the TUNGUSKA you cannot use anymore the TA BPS_STS_START cause it only will start the BSP TUNKUSKA(its hardcoded), build up your own transaction.

Yes you can use the STS for BI IP also and you need to configure the Planning level and sub plan area and follow the steps to set up STS.
STS still has BPS flavour and can be used in IP.

Delay in applying Look and feel on jDialog

I am working with java1.4 / OS as windows Xp.
Recently i came across an interesting problem regarding look and feel.
Actually my syatem llok and feel was windows and i set swing application Look and feel as Metal. Now whenever i am launching any dialog on my awing application , The dialog appears in windows LAF for few nenoseconds and then changes to Metal.
Even if if check the llok and feel just before launcing the dialog i am getting Metal as result
Can any one help me out about what might be going wrong ?

I've never noticed this before. (I guiess my eyes aren't good enought to spot something for a few nanoseconds)

How can I include a JSP, Maximized, and retain look and feel(WSRP)

I have created a page group and defined a root page with a certain look and feel. There are two portlets on the page. Once the user clicks on a submit button, the portlet performs some action and includes a jsp included in the EAR file. The portlet needs to maximize the UI to display the jsp correctly.
Once control returns back to the screen, the look and feel is lost and uses Oracle's default style. I have two questions:
1. From the portlet, how can I retain the look and feel of the page group when referencing "external" jsp (i.e JSPs in the deployed portal EAR file).
2. How can I "redirect" the user to the home page in a standard way? If there is not a standard way, how do I use the Oracle specific utilities to do it?
All of my JSPs are developed externally out of the scope of the Oracle Portal.
Environment - Oracle Portal 10.1.4 on Release 2 using WSRP to contact Oracle Release 3, hosted EAR file (WSRP Producer).

Hi José,
I don't think that is possible. But you can import the css files that ep uses for its look and feel and try to give your web pages similar look and feel. The tables and other controls used in EP are totally different and are done through complex JavaScript coding instead of simple HTML tags. If you want exact lok and feel then i thin you must go for a Webdynpro based application rather then a J2EE application with JSPs.

I feel that the discussion forums look and feel has improved and it allows us to chosse only theForums that we need to see and thus eliminates unneccasr sctrolling.
It would be better if OTN Reverts back to the old look and feel as regards showing the Questions and replies posted on that thread.
That way would be easier to see all the details in one strech instead of clicking on the replies...
I hope this would be considered.

Program Ignoring Nimbus Look and Feel ?

I'm trying to use the new look and feel of Nimbus, and it seems like my program is just ignoring the option. Is there anything else I have to do other than this ?

JTable X System_Look-And-Feel Interaction

I'm developing an application that is centered around a JTable. The column header labels are centered and have a yellow background.
When I use the Metal look-and-feel, no problem. However, if I switch to the system look-and-feel, the column labels will no longer be centered, and their yellow background does not show up.
I've attached some code below that will duplicate this problem. Just un-remark one look-and-feel (line 16), and then the other (line 18), and see how this affects the JTable's header.
I've searched a lot of documentation, tutorials, and forums and have not seen a reference to this problem. I hope that you can help.

Thank you for your guidance on this issue. I've started work with cell renderers in this table -- I'm using one to center my numbers in each cell. I'll get back to work on learning the basics.

Authorizations for BW reportings and BW BPS

Hello,
The project we are working on contains two aspects : one in BPS and one in BW reporting
First the user needs to input or change data in the BPS application and then he can check his figures in a BW Report. We want each user to have authorizations only for his company and his business unit.
So we created authorization objects (RSSM) with a typical user profile (does not have SAP_ALL and all profiles required to customize anything).
In this authorization object we put different characteristics such as : Company, Business Unit, Activity and Version.
In the (PFCG), for company and business unit we put the values needed for the user. For Activity, we put "change" and "display". And for version we put "*".
We can then change values in the BPS layouts but we do not have access to the concerned report in BW.
Could somebody help us on this matter ??? Or does somebody have informations on how to implement this kind of authorizations ?

In planning and in review status disable in the template

I have created category in the objective setting and appraisal.. In the category i have selected in planning and in review status and created the template. In template the in planning and in review status are disabled. Can you please tell me the reason?

How to change the default look and feel

Hi.
Does anyone knows how to change the default Caspian look and feel to, for example, Nimbus ?
Or the skin feature turns look and feel setting, as We know in java, unnecessary in javafx ?

Canspian is not a look&feel, it's a skin.
Look&feel only change the SwingComponent,

Change of Layout/Look and Feel in BI 7 Reports.

This is Prem from NetWeaver Portals.
Currently we have a couple of BI 7.0 reports integrated into portal.
We have also used Portal Themes to alter the Look and Feel of the BI reports with respect to Heading colors, alternate row colors etc. But the scope of changing the Look and feel of BI reports from the Portal theme is very limited.
Is there a way to modify it further from BI's CSS?
Where is this functionality provided in SAP BI 7.0?
We are also interested in changing the Layout of the reports in BI. i.e. unlike the standard BI format of reports as generated from the Web Application designer, we would like to change the layout as well.
How is this layout change carried out? Web Templates?
Kindly spell out a solution for me as I'm not aware of BI

Could yo please explain little detial. how do you changed the look and feel of reports through the portal themes. We are trying to change the colors of the execptions and text box and some more. we have created a custom theme in which we changed the complex formatted table crictal, bad, good colors. when we assigned this theme through personalization to the user, custom theme colors are not seen in the BW report.
