  • I got update notification for an app i didn't buy

I've got update notification for an app "CodeBox" that i didn't buy on my MacBook Appstore
    how can i remove it??

I'm not sure why that link gets given out for pirated apps because it has nothing to do with pirated apps. That link is about a totally unrelated issue about MAS updates.
    Finding a pirated app -
All MAS apps have a MAS receipt in their app bundle. Check any app acquired from the MAS. Right click on the app's icon in your Apps folder and choose Show package contents. In the Contents folder is a _MASReceipt folder and in that folder is the coded MAS receipt. It has the Apple ID of the MAS account that bought/acquired the app from the MAS. It is that receipt that the MAS uses to alert you that an app has an update. There would not be a notice of an update with someone else's Apple ID showing in the MAS on your Mac, if there was not an app with a receipt from this person's account somewhere on your Mac.
    Download the free app FindAnyFile (FAF);
    http://apps.tempel.org/FindAnyFile/
This app is easier to use and seems to be more powerful than Spotlight. Open FAF and in the box type _MASReceipt and press Find. It should come up with a list of every app on the Mac with a MAS receipt. Compare the apps with receipts in FAF's list with your purchased apps list in the Mac App Store. The odd app out should be the pirated app.
    Lots of folks are resistant to the idea that they have a pirated app, but they eventually find out that its true;

  • I was charged for an app I didn't buy.

I got a reciept for $14.98 for a free app and 2 in-app purchases within the app. I've never seen the app before in my life, and I have never made an in-app purchase either. I NEED to know how to un-buy the app–when I click the "report a problem" button, it just takes me to the front page for the iTunes support website at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/. How can I remove the purchase and get the money back??? I've already changed my password, so I'm not too woried about being hacked (or whatever happened) again, but I am worried that I just lost 15 bucks. Fortunately, I have no active credit card with my account, so identity theft isn't an issue... I just want my money back.

  • How can I get credit for an app I didn't authorize purchase for?

My grandson always wants to download new games on his IPhone 3, but he always comes to me to download them. I always make sure they say free before I download them. For some reason I have been charged $7.41 for an app "Dark Knight". How do I get credit back on my card for this?

For some reason I have been charged $7.41 for an app "Dark Knight".
The price should be $ 6.99 USD (unless at specific state that charges tax).

  • Changing money for free apps

Why changing me US dollar 1 for free apps?

Again, it's almost certainly a credit authorization hold. I know of nothing in the iTunes Store that would be exactly $1.00, though I can't say with certainty that nothing exists. And unless you're in the US, it's unlikely that a charge would be made in US dollars. Contact your bank and ask.
If your bank says that it is indeed actually a charge and checking your purchase history doesn't remind of you of something, perhaps an in-app purchase which many "free" apps have for additional levels, coins, gems, etc, then go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
    Regards.

  • Billed for an app I didn't download - does this happen a lot?

    Hi
I just got an email invoice stating I'd been billed for an app called iconize. I never heard of it and never downloaded it.
It's not a huge amount of money but it is still stealing in my oppinion.
I checked out the app and it looks well dodgy. There are loads of 5 star reviews, all posted on the same day and written mostly in very bad English, even where the persons name appears to be English.
I'm wondering... Is this a common occurrence and how is it even possible?
I checked my phone and both my iPads, just in case I'd accidentally installed it and it's not on any of them.
Not impressed with the Apple support page either as it completely fails to validate my phone numbers. This is the first time since I started buying Apple kit (10+ years) that I needed to contact their support, and it's hard to believe the same company that produces such excellent hardware and software has such a rubbish support page. Looks like they out-sourced it to the Muppetts
    Mark

I notice that the price of the app I was billed for is much less than the price it is being sold at. I wonder if I bought this app years ago, deleted and forgot all about it, and then got billed for it again??
I got an email from Apple saying I'd get a refund...

  • Cannot change shortcut for activating app expose

    Hello,
I can't seem to reassign the shortcut key for "Application windows" in exposé. I can change the key in the Exposé preference panel, which has a limited set of keys. But I cannot change it to an arbitrary shortcut (e.g. opt-s) in the keyboard preferences. Could somebody help?

no, not a lot... and no, I don't download any music or videos... maybe I should just delete all the re download,. what I'm afraid of is that even if I delete all the apps it will anyway keep the same problem, because when I go to "My Apple ID" and click it keeps showing me the other email.... and then I will not be able to use any Aps on my iphone....
anyway, thank you so much for all the help.... and I DID sync with iTunes, but it didn't help, only made it worse.... maybe I will hang myself.... (just joking) going to sleep now and will try out in the morning./// thanks again!!!

  • Changing Layout for Device Apps Panel

It is a minor matter but the layout of the Apps panel for my iPad seems to have changed and I see no way to change it back. At one time, the icons for home screens were arrayed to the right of the Window for the home screens. Now they are arrayed below. I'd like to cahnge it back but see no preference that affects this. What have I missed?

You still apparently haven't read the tutorial on using Layout Managers to understand the capabilites of each Layout Manager.
For instance, within the constructor of one of my JFrames using
System.out.println(this.getHeight()); prints 0, when of course this is not the case in reality for the frame's heightComponents don't have a size until the GUI is visible on the screen. That is until you've done a pack(), or a setVisible( true ). You should never be using setSize().
Layout Managers use setPreferredSize() ,setMinimumSize() and setMaximumSize() as suggestions for determining the layout. Although most layout managers don't use all the suggestions, which is why you need to read the tutorial to find out how the layout managers work.
I'm now having trouble trying to figure out how to only resize the height
of a JTabbedPane yet keep the width fixedWell, I don't understand the requirement. The preferred size of a tabbed pane is equal to the preferred size of the largest tab added to the tabbed pane. So I don't understand the concept of artificially changing the vertical height.
Anyway reread the tutorial on "How to Use the Border Layout". Two of the 5 areas respect the width of the component but alter the height to fill all the available space.
If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.
And don't forget to use the [url http://forum.java.sun.com/help.jspa?sec=formatting]Code Formatting Tags so the code retains its original formatting.
