Changing my iCloud/appleID on my iPhone

I have a 5c. It is setup with my old appleid. It asks me to put in the password to log out so I can login with my new account. I don't have a password anymore. That email address is deleted. Can someone help me bypass or delete the old so I can use my current ID?
Thanks for your help!
Erin

Try putting in the old password.

I want to change my icloud id on my iPhone, but it won't let me now that i have upgraded.  I no longer have the password and the problem is It is using an old id which the email isn't valid and the security question does not think my birthday is valid.  I cannnot delete the account because "find my iphone" wants the password linked to this old account.  But when i go into the find my iphone app it is using my corect Apple ID.  How do i fix this?

If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account.  You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then  on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/).

  • HT204053 I have set up a new Icloud ID  using a new email address on my I mac however my Iphone Icloud ID is still using an old email address that is no longer in use.  How do I change my ICloud ID on my Iphone to that on my  IMac computer. I only want 1

How do I change  my  Icloud ID on my Iphone to match my ICloud ID on my IMac computer? My phone has an old email address that is no longer in use.  I have a new email address that I have used as my ICloud ID ( Apple ID )  on my IMac.  I want to be able to send photos from my Imac  to my Icloud account  and see view them with my Iphone.  Can you help me ?? Thanks

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
When you do this, you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted.  If this happens, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • CANT CHANGE THE ICLOUD NAME ON MY IPHONE

HOW DO I CHANGE THE ICLOUD NAME ON MY IPHONE  5C IF I DONT HAVE THE PASSWORD FOR THE OLD ONE

Temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Yes, of course, just sign up for a new account:

    Hello farahani hairon nizar,
If your Apple ID was changed from your old account, you may have to change it back to your old account to be able to sign out and then change it back after that is done. Take a look at the article below for more information.
If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud

  • How do I change the iCloud ID on my iPhone

    Hi everyone,
Please let me explain my situation first.
I was using email1 for my iCloud backup on my iPhone4. Then I had a problem with that email and had to change that email to email2 via the web browser.
I then changed my iCloud ID on my iPhone to reflect that change. Then I had a problem with the iPhone so had to restore via iCloud. Upon restoring, my iPhone keeps asking to connect to iCloud but the ID it use is the email1 not the new email2 I am currently using. I try changing the iCloud email on iPhone but it would simply not let me. Can anyone help me change the iCloud ID on my iPhone?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Shirley

I did but that caused my ID to reflect the change and caused the problem in the first place. Thank you but I just found a solution here https://discussions.apple.com/message/22605888#22605888.

  • Question: How can I change the iCloud ID on my iphone to the one I'm using on my ipad?

How can I change the iCloud ID on my iphone to the one I'm using on my ipad?

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
When you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.

  • How do I change my iCloud ID on my iPhone which an email address that no longer exists

How do I change my iCloud ID on my iPhone which an email address that no longer exists

    Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • Can't change the iCloud id on my iphone

I recently changed my Apple ID because the old email is going away.  So everything went fine except the iCloud login on the iphone.  it still has the old id in it and when I try to delete it, it says I have to run off Find My iPhone and asks for the password and it comes up with the id already populated and wants the password then tells me that the password is incorrect even when I put in the right one for that id. Anyone got a suggestion on a solution?

Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID and tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.
You can now use your current password to turn OFF Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.
Then go to Settings > iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).
Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.
Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do I change my icloud account on my iphone 5c?

    Hello,
I am hoping someone will help me.  I have an invalid icloud account on my iphone.  The email address is no longer valid and I have no idea what the password might have been.  My current apple id and password don't match the icloud account currently on my iphone.  I can't even restore my phone because it requires that I know the password to the icloud account which no longer exists so I'm trapped.  What can I do?

First, just try the current password to your current Apple ID, even though it shows the wrong Apple ID.
The OP did, didn't work...miss that?
Third, you can go to appleid.apple.com, and change the primary email of your Apple ID back to the old email, just long enough to log out of that old email Apple ID on your device.  Then change it back to the current primary email.
Since the Apple ID the OP wants to change is no longer a valid email address, that won't work, as there is no way to verify such.
First, OP said "I have no idea what the password might have been.  " and "My current apple id AND password don't match the icloud account currently on my iphone."  Nowhere did he say that he hadn't tried the current password for his current Apple ID on his iCloud that displays the old Apple ID.  He may have been trying to guess an old password.  There is no harm in him trying the first step, even if he's tried it once before.  Many people accidentally mistype their password.  What's the harm in him trying again, even if he's already tried it once?  It takes less time to try it again than it took you to type up your response.  Additionally, I like to include all possibly relevant steps, especially when the relevant troubleshooting article lists that step.
Second, you don't have to verify the old email address for this procedure.  As soon as you change the primary email address on your Apple ID, it's changed in the system.  Once you've fixed the issue, and changed back to the new email, that one you'll have to verify... and the OP never said anything about not having access to the new, current email address, did he?
    For your reference, wjosten:
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5223
    1. Use your current Apple ID password
Trying using your current Apple ID password. If that doesn't work, continue to the next step.
    2. Sign out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime
If you are currently signed in to iMessage or FaceTime
If you are not signed in to iMessage or FaceTime
    3. Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.

  • How do I change my iCloud ID on my iPhone.

Trying to set up iCloud on my iPhone.  I already had a MobileMe account and ID ending in @me.com.  When asked for my AppleID, I put in my ID but not the one specifically ending in @me. com.  Now I cannot change the iCloud ID in my Settings>iCloud.  And when I try to turn on email and FindMyiPhone, it prompts me to create an @me.com ID.  So I type in my MobileMe ID and I'm told that ID already exists.  Of course, it's mine.  And in setting up iCloud on my MacBook, I used my MobileMe ID.  I think I'm screwed.  I would like to get my iCloud ID on my iPhone back to the old MobileMe ID that is now my iCloud ID.

OK,  I screwed up my courage and didn't screw up my iPhone.  At this point it seems to have worked.  I deleted that account but saved the contacts, calendar on my iPhone.  Then back to Settings>iCloud, asked for Apple @me.com ID which I entered with Password for that account.  Then I was asked to merge bookmarks etc. with iCloud which I granted.  Now I have full access to all options.  Thanks!
