Changing order of email listed in iPhone

I am subscribed to an email list in which the order of the emails are important to the subject discussed. When trying to fix a problem some one is having it's very helpful to have the question at the top of the list. I know in apps like .mail this is easily accomplished, how can I do this in the iPhone mail app?

You can't change the order of received emails.
The order of received emails is based on the date/time the message was received with the most recent received messages at the top.

If your Apple ID was changed from your old account, you may have to change it back to your old account to be able to sign out and then change it back after that is done. Take a look at the article below for more information.

Go to: Settings>>iTunes Store and App Store, click in your old email and finalize the section. Here, sign in your new email with new password.

.ase file changes order of color list.

I created an .ase file in InDesign CC with a list of 20 colors in a particular order. When I Load Swatch into a new document the order of the list changes. Can I avoid this?
The list has one Pantone color but the rest have CMYK values and I have named each colour. The list change does not appear to be alpha-numerical.

(I'm still not sure why the saved colours should change order when not grouped but, as this works I'll go with it).

I have read a lot of posts in here about this but none seem to fix my problem.
I have changed my email address in iTunes account. I have synced iTunes with my iPhone.
But when I try and buy something my old email address appears on the iPhone iTunes store and it won't let me buy anything.
How can I change the email address the iPhone uses for purchasing things?

I accually called them and was on the phone for like two hours trying to fix it. Do you have an apple id? if so you can use that to buy a free song and then synce the phone and then after that try to buy something and your apple id name should come up. I was using my aol email address and then for some reason it stoped working and I couldnt bye anything. I did that and now I can buy stuff again..hope this helps

On my iPhone's email Accounts page, there are four accounts listed. I think they're listed in the order in which I first added them, but I'd like to change that. Is there any way to change the order in which these appear?

Yes: delete them all and add them again in the order in which you would like them to be displayed.....

How To Change Order of Email Addresses in Address Book / groups / Mail?

Many records in my address book have multiple email addresses.
No big deal but I wonder if there is a way to tell Address Book / Mail which address to pick as the default.
For example I send a litttle news email one a week to a group of contacts. I want to send this email to people's personal -- not business -- email address. I've created a group in Address Book and type that group name in my Mail to line and the group pops up. But a few of the records pick the corporate address and I have to go in and change those addresses.
I just tried editing one record ... I deleted both "work" and "home" addresses from a record. Then reentered them "home" first, "work" second. But when I closed the edit Address Book listed them in the original order (maybe alpha).
Any ideas?

How can I change order of email accounts in Mail on Mountain Lion?

In Mail on Mountain Lion I have only two email accounts, but the wrong one has been set as default (because it was an account I had overlooked and added later). I cannot find how to change the order of the email accounts. One possibility is to delete the non-default account and re-add it, so that it becomes the most recent and thus (presumably) the default, but this would delete all the email messages in that account, which I cannot afford.
It's a great flaming pain to try to remember each email I write to select the second account option, and yet I can find no way to change email account order---not in Mail and not in System Preferences. Dragging them certainly does not work.
Can Apple have really missed this? Is there any solution?

Comfortable with terminal...know how to edit using TextEdit:
Open up a Terminal and use the following commands to change your Mail.app preferences file to an XML format – the default format is binary, and you can't edit this.
cd ~/Library/Preferences
plutil -convert xml1 com.apple.mail.plist
Then, open this file com.apple.mail.plist with a text editor of your choice, preferably one that highlights XML syntax, but you can also use TextEdit:
open -a "TextEdit" com.apple.mail.plist
Now, look for the key called MailAccounts. It's value is an array, with dict children. Here, you'll find all your mail accounts in the order they were created in.
You can now manually move these dict children around. Save the XML file and reopen Mail. Now, your Mail account order will be changed.

When I go to iCloud under settings on my iPhone it has a different email address than my iTunes account. How to I change that email to the same as my iTunes account.

With your apple id, you got a free email account ending in @icloud.com. So if your apple id is [email protected], you also get another apple id email address with the @icloud.com suffix.
If one of the email addresses is @icloud.com, I would not worry about it, as it is probably the free account that you got with your apple id.
If it is 1 gmail, and 1 yahoo, or 2 differetn yahoo emails then, well, you are in trouble.
They would then be 2 separate email addresse, and you cannot merge them.
you can check at appleid.apple.com to see if both of those emails are associated with the same account by logging in with one of them there.
But to answer your question, in the icloud section of settings, if you scroll to the bottom, there is a Delete Account option there to sign out of, and remove the icloud account info from your device so you can sign in with another if you like.

Drag and Drop to Change Order in a List

Does anyone know of an example where there is the ability to drag and drop elements in a list and thus change their order? (I.E. drag item one below item two and then item one and two change locations)

If you mean you want to change your iCloud ID (which looks like an email address), go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

Changing "Reply to" email option in iPhone 3.0?

If you are only updating apps, that's normal Apps and other purchased media are permanently tied to the ID used to purchase them. You also don't back up apps or music to iCloud, the only thing backed up to iCloud is your app data, which is part of your iCloud backup by default.
Is your phone signed into the old ID in Settings>iCloud?

You would have to change it back to your old email address in order to turn off "Find My iPhone" on your devices. After you changed it back to your old address and deactivated "Find My iPhone" (activation lock) you could change your Apple ID to your new address again. Now it should wok on all your devices.
