Changing Orientation in a slideshow

When you create a slideshow in iPhoto 6 the orientation is automatically changed. How do you turn this off? It becomes annoying when you change the orientation in an album and then it is changed back in the slideshow.

TST:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. It's apparently a bug in this latest version of iPhoto when dealing with photos from cameras with the auto-rotate feature. One possible workaround would be to do a minor edit on the image after rotating. You can open the Adjust panel and make a very minor Exposure or other edit and then save. This should create a new modified files with the rotation correct that will be used in the slideshow. I don't have any photos in my library with auto-rotate so can't test it out. Give it a try and let us know if that works.

If you're on Windows, check out a free program called Audacity--it's fantastic.  With Audacity the process of converting a 48.000 kHz to 44.100 kHz is as simply as opening, changing the sample rate, and then exporting again, as an MP3.

  • Change Orientation of report

We are using a rtf template to generate a report and want the change the orientation to Landscape , changing the orientation of the template is not workling.
Has anybody done this using XML code
There is some property called reference-orientation but we are not sure how to use it.
    Please help.

    Hi Kavipriya
    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, we tried to change the page layout of RTF template to landscape. We thought that this would reflect in report output as well.
Detailed Requirement: We are generating report in excel (.xls) format. When client is printing this excel report file, by default it takes orientation as portrait while printing. Client want the generated report should be in Landscape format so that they can give directly print command without changing orientation in print setup.
So we are trying to make report output in landscape format. But don’t know how to achieve that.
We thought of changing layout in RTF template would help us but no use.
It would be very great help if you could guide on us. Thanks in advance.

  • Change Orientation to Landscape

How to change orientation to Landscape.

    else {
For the above code to work you would need to insure Photoshop units were set to something other than percent.  For when Photoshop Units are set to percent the statement "if (myDocument.width < myDocument.height) " would never rotate the canvas it would alway be "if (100% < 100%)" always equal been burned by that...

  • How do you change orientation of pdf file to fill and sign?

how do you change orientation of pdf file to fill and sign?

Adobe Fill & Sign does not yet have a feature to rotate PDF pages but there are several websites that will rotate a PDF for free and then you can bring that PDF with correct orientation into Fill & Sign to fill out.  Any of the top hits when you google "rotate PDF free" will work.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • IPhone 5 with updated ios8 won't change orientations (landscape vs portrait).

My iPhone five with updated ios8 won't change orientation between landscape and portrait. Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Hi lmilesfromnowhere,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
There may be a couple of different things I would suggest here. The first thing I would do would be to check and make sure the orientation lock is off.
    iOS: Screen does not rotate
If the lock is off and the issue continues, I would recommend restarting your device. If the issue continues after the restart, reset the device.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • Content Viewer crashing when changing orientation

The magazine I've made seems to be crashing A LOT when I change orientations. This is more noticeable when I go back and fourth between orientation Vertical to Horizontal then imediately back to Vertical. (My client is pissed off).
I've tested this on iPad 1, 2 & 3 and have the same issue on each. I'm using CS6 and my folio is PDF rather than JPG or PNG.
Does anyone else have this problem or can suggest a way to make changing orientation more stable?

I'll give the same advice I just gave someone else. It's possible you've run into a bug, However, first try the two standard troubleshooting tips:
    (1) Restore InDesign's preferences: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990
    (2) If that doesn't work, you might guess the file is corrupted. Save it as an INX file:http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526991
    Good luck!

  • Why does my iPhone4S not change orientation to landscape when turned in messaging but does turn in other functions?

My iPhone 4S doesn't want to change orientation from portrait to landscape when turned - while in messaging.
It turns fine in other functions...??

What are these other apps? Because for some applications, landscape view is not possible, like calender.

  • Ipad2 does not change orientation. I have not used the switch for lock rotation it is used for mute

Ipad2 does not change orientation. I have not used the switch for lock rotation it is used for mute

Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If so, and as you've got the switch set to notification mute, then have you checked the taskbar (the function that the switch isn't set to is controlled via the taskbar instead) : double-click the home button, slide the taskbar to the right, and it's the icon far left.
If you havn't got the lock symbol at the top then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Is there a setting to prevent modification date change after adding label or changing orientation?

is there a setting to prevent modification date change after adding label or changing orientation? I don't want to change the modification date when I haven't edited the image, but only rotated the view or rated/labeled it. Is there a setting to change to not have this happen?

You have modified it, but why worry?  The date shot does not change.

  • IPad background changing orientation automatically.

IPad mini retina problem: background changing orientation automatically despite orientation lock. I am using Smart Cover .

Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If so, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
If there isn't a lock symbol then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Hi there, why doesn't my iPad change orientation when I write an email?

    Hi
I have a problem with my iPad 2. It doesn't change orientation when I go into Mail and start writing. I haven't touched the 'lock orientation' button.
Can anybody explain how to fix this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Cee Cee

    - First make sure that you don't see the lock icon on the top right corner (it may have been activated by default).
    - If other apps keep rotating but just the Mail one doesn't, then you probably need to force quit the Mail app.
    Two ways to do that:
    - in Mail, press the Sleep/Wake button for 10-15 sec until the shutdown screen appears, then press the home button until the app quits.
    - on the homescreen, double press the home button to see the opened apps, the press on the mail app until you see them bouncing with a red circle on the top left of the icon, and press on that sign for the mail app, then press the home button again to go back to normal.
Then, launch mail again and check if it works.

  • IOS 7: Changing orientation interferes with scrolling

When changing orientation in an app that features scrolling, this can disrupt vertical scrolling in portrait orientation.  This has been observed in the apps YouTube, Safari, and Cheezburger on the iPhone 4S 16GB White.  Scrolling remains disabled until the app is closed by the user from the iOS multitasker.

I would like to resurface this discuss with the context of the latest iWorks update to iOS.
Like some of you, I commonly use iOS Keynote to prototype mobile app concepts for iPhone 5, and I have to build my presentations sideways to make the presentation feel like it's in portrait mode. Quite annoying. I was really excited for the latest iWorks update because it said that Keynote for iOS added "New portrait layout options in presenter display".
I didn't know if this meant they added portrait mode within presenter display while remote connecting to a second screen. Or does this mean new portrait viewing mode while presenting (which is what we really want).
    Your insite would be valuable.
