Changing OS to WIN7 home premium 64 bit.

After this occurs my CS6 cloud apps will have been wiped from my system.
What will the process be to re-download the application manager and all the cloud apps >

The process would be the same for when you first installed them.  Please see http://forums.adobe.com/message/4396277#4396277?tstart=0 for information on how to download and install the Adobe Creative applications from the Creative Cloud.

  • Upgrading Win7 Home Premium 32-bit to Win7 Home Premium 64-bit

I just purchased a Thinkpad X201 that came preinstalled with Win7 Home Premium 32-bit installed and I would prefer to run the 64-bit version. Is there any way I can inexpensively get the necessary DVD(s) and will the current product key on my laptop validate the 64-bit version? I understand that this will require a clean install but as MS normally provides both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of Win7 with there standard OEM sets I was hoping that Lenovo could provide me the necessary DVD(s) at little or no cost (shipping?).
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

alternatively you can download the legal version of the 64 bit ISO from notebookreview forum ('google notebookreview win 7 iso download).
Then use that to install the version of the win 7 you want, and you can activate that OS with the serial key that you have received with your laptop on the sticker under the laptop.

  • Recovering to Win7 Home Premium 64-bit version [ L505-S5984 ]

    Hi there,
I purchased a L505-S5984 in the black friday sales, comes bundled with 3gb memory and a 250gb hard drive.  It's also pre-loaded with Win7 home premium - 32bit edition.
Does anyone know how the Toshiba recovery process works, especially, what factor determines whether a user will be prompted to install the 32bit vs the 64bit version of the operating system?
I'm examined the recovery media and believe, filewise, everything is there for a 64 bit installation.  I suspect theres some (config) setting(s) with the recovery image such that it wont give an option for a 64bit installation?
Anyone else played around with this?
    Thanks

I believe that there is a post in the Windows 7 forum here that tells how to do this on some models.  I don't remember specifically which one it is, but the Subject Line was something on the order of 32bit to 64bit.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Win7 Home Premium 64-bit, XE11g - Getting Started URL has %HTTPPORT%

    Hi,
Just done a straight installation. The 'Getting Started' URL contains a reference to HTTPPORT, which isn't defined. When I manually connect to port 8080 everything works as expected.
On my other PC running Windows XP 32-bit, the URL contains the actual port number.

OK - I'm assuming that this is a 32-bit database running on 64-bit OS problem It seems to be more of a problem with my 32bit third-party client tools - I've tidied up my paths to InstantClient (I have 32bit and 64bit versions) and the tools are now working as expected.

  • ITunes 10.5.1 64 bit - win7 Home Premium crash?

I upgraded to iTunes 10.5.1 64 bit on my new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit computer and now it opens and shortly after shuts down with a problem.  None of the other versions did that.
    help?

Here is what worked for me for both 10.5 and 10.5.1 after hoursof frustration with Itunes stopping and shutting down in the middle of a syncor tranferring Apps downloaded on my Ipad2 or Iphone 4:
Start iTunes in iTunes Safe Mode:
    1.  hold down the Shift and Control key together and clickto start iTunes.
    2.  when you see the iTunes icon in the task bar, click onit.
    3.  you will get a box that says "iTunes is running insafe mode.  Visual plug-ins you have installed have been termporarilydisabled."   [I don't know what plug-ins I installed but youshould clearly see that these so-called visual plug-ins are likely the cause ofyour issues];
    4. click Continue to open iTunes.
You could already have your device connected to your computer ordo it after opening iTunes in its safe mode.
Now press your sync button and everything should work fine.
I also disabled Genius in iTunes preferences but I'm not sure ifthis is one of the issues causing these types of problems.
I hope this works.  This may be the workaround for all ofus Windows 7 64-bit folks.

  • Nvidia GeoForce Go 7600 graphics driver and IQ770 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit edition

I have been having problems with my screen for several months now:  every so often, for no apparent reason, it loses some of the pixels.  I can still read the items on the screen, but the resolution is trashed.  It happens intermittently and then goes back to normal.  I have tried uninstalling the graphics driver and letting the computer go find it on a reboot.  This does not work.  I have also tried installing the original graphics driver.  This does not work either.
If I look in the "Problem Reports" area in Control Panel, there is a graphics related error:
Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)  The resolution listed is to reinstall the device driver (which I've tried dozens of times without success) or to change the computer's performance settings, which also does nothing.  I still get the occasional loss of screen clarity which returns to normal all by itself.
Is anyone else seeing this problem?  Does anyone have a resolution?
I have tried the latest graphics driver available on the hp website, from 8-2008 as well as the originally installed version from January 2007.  The version of Windows is Vista Home Premium 32 bit edition, Service Pack 1.
If I completely uninstall the graphics driver, and do not reload any, the screen performance is fine, but then there are other problems, such as graphics acceleration.
    Thanks for your help.

The OEM license is tied to the original motherboard version, ie M2N68-LA. You lose the OEM "rights" when you changed the board.

    Hi lustyln,
I'm having a little trouble understanding all of what you are trying to explain. From what I can tell, it sounds like your PC has a lot of software problems and you want to know what is supposed to be there and what isn't.

  • Wi-fi touch mouse x7000 will not stay paired on Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

Product: HP wi-fi touch mouse x7000
    Computer: HP Envy sleekbook/ultrabook 6t 1000
    O/S: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Wifi type: Intel 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth + WIDI
Error message: none when attempting to pair
I received my HP Envy 6t two days ago and have started the process of loading software and devices.  In addition to ordering the PC from hp.com, I also ordered the HP Wi-fi touch mouse x7000.  After booting up the PC for the first time and walking through the Windows 7 set-up, I immediately installed the wi-fi mouse.
Upon initial install of the mouse with the provided install CD, I received an error message stating that one of the drivers was not digitally signed and that the version of windows installed did not support unsigned drivers and that the installed device may not work because the driver would not be used.  I continued forward with the install and the mouse seemed to be in working order.  I then decided to go out to the HP support website and download the latest Windows 7 64-bit driver for the mouse I had.  I then ran through the install and the mouse still continued to work.  At this point I had not yet rebooted the PC.
I then performed the following steps in the listed order:
    - Installed HP Photosmart 4700 series printer with provided install CD and established a connection via wi-fi
    - Installed MS Office 2010 SP1
    - Started download of automatically identified Windows Updates that were related to the O/S and other installed Microsoft software
    - In parallel with the Windows updates download, I installed the latest release of Symantec's Anti-Virus software and updated its software and virus definitions, this all finished prior to the Windows Updates being completely downloaded.  I left the default settings as is for the Symantec Anti-Virus configuration.
    - The Windows Updates then installed
    - Rebooted the PC
After the reboot of the PC was completed, the mouse would not pair at all.  I attempted several times where I would go into the HP mouse control and select configuration and then pairing.  I would follow the instructions of pressing the connect button and the screen would then say it paired, but the O/S would not recognize it and the mouse would not move.  Going back into the mouse control center it then also recognized it was not paired.
I then attempted to uninstall the mouse software and it would get to the point where it was "gathering information" and it showed a full status bar yet it just hung there.  I would wait for 15 minutes and then hit cancel and it would still just hang there yet again.  After 15 additional minutes of canceling I would just reboot the PC for which the mouse software was still installed but the mouse continued not to pair.  I tried the uninstall process 3 times, each with a PC reboot as part of the process because it would just hang.
I am not sure if the install CD installs a 32-bit version of the mouse software and drivers.  If so, perhaps I confused the registration of the product by installing the 64-bit driver I downloaded from HP support.  I have attempted to install both the 64-bit driver and the 32-bit driver for Windows 7 that I downloaded from HP Support online in which the execution of the installation is successful with no errors.  However the pairing continues not to work and the uninstall hangs.
In addition, after the PC bounce, my HP printer was no longer being recognized.  Come to find out Symantec is blocking communication of the PC to the router and thus to the printer.  So I disbled Symantec and the printer now works but the mouse still does not.  I even rebooted the PC after disabling Symantec and attempted to pair, with Symantec still disabled after reboot, then attempted mouse driver re-installs, mouse software uninstalls and still no luck.
So I am at the point where I cannot uninstall the mouse via conventional means and the wi-fi mouse will not pair manually or automatically.
I have not yet circled back to performing another Winows Update check to see if there are any additional updates after the intial download of the ones mentioned earlier.  I will plan to do that next time I am on the PC.
    Any suggestions?

  • Lightroom 2 and Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Compatibility

I just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium 64 and a free upgrade to Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, coming soon.
Is LR 2 compatible with Win 7 64 bit?

The answer for this question, according to Adobe support, is "NO".
I've been having terrible problems with LR2 constantly crashing (and hanging the computer) after upgrading from Vista 32 to Win7 64.  After offering some largely useless suggestions, support at Adobe said the following:
    >>Based on the information provided by you, I understand that you Lightroom is crashing. I would be glad to assist you we will work together as a team to find out the best possible resolution for your issue. In this case I would like to inform you that Lightroom is not comaptible with Win 7 (64 bit).
They do list Win7 compatibility on marketing information on the website.  But my case was closed after that response, which is pretty non-ambiguous.

  • Windows 7 Home premium 32 bits Pt-Pt

    Hi all,
I'm with lot's of issues to find the windows 7 Home premium 32 bits Pt-Pt (Portuguese-Portuguese) to donwload. I have the serial key because I bought the this Windows, but meanwhile I lost the DVD.
Can you please send me a link for the version and language above?
    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hi Dani,
Zigzag is right. I understand it must be very difficult when things do not work as expected.
As I known, there are two types of language packs, MUI (Multi-language User Interface) and LIP (Language Interface Pack).
The MUI changes 100% of the interface to another language and the LIP changes 80% of the most commonly used parts of the interface.
The MUI language packs can change any of the 35 Parent languages to another Parent language. The MUI language packs are only available in the Ultimate or Enterprise editions of Windows 7. The LIP language packs can be installed on any edition of Windows
    7. Both the MUI and LIP are freely available.
The LIP language packs cannot change a parent language to another parent language. These are only available for localized languages in countries where there is a large population that speaks a different language from the parent language of that country.
An example is Spain where there is a LIP available in the Basque or Venetian language dialect.
Since Portuguese and English are both parent languages, you would need to upgrade to the Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise edition to be able to change the language to Portuguese.
Windows 7 language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 7 Ultimate or Windows 7 Enterprise

With the newest 15-inch MacBook Pro's on the market and with Parallels 5, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit should work, correct?

Yes and with Parallels 5 you get full Windows 7 support (Parallels 4 Win7 support wasn't so good) and 5 now runs in 64-bit mode on Snow Leopard (Parallels 4 only ran in 32-bit mode) so you can use more than 4GB RAM

  • Unable to scan and communicate with scan function C6180 Vista Home Premium 64 bit Printing works

I have an all in one C6180 Photosmart connected by wireless network (infrastructure). Network consists of 2-laptops, 1-Desktop and the printer.  Everything works from HP solution Center on the Compaq laptop and the Dell desktop both running Windows XP. My newest laptop is a Dell studio XPS core2   2.4ghz running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I am unable to scan from the Dell Laptop using HP Solution Center nor can I scan from the printer buttons to the laptop. Solution Center opens I select "scan document" and immediately get an error message "unable to communicate with scanning device. Likewise with the copy function.  The laptop does recognize the printer though and I am able to print wirelessly.  All functions work when connected via USB so I believe the printer is fine.  I have been working with this problem since I bought the printer in 2007. I spent many hours reading hundreds of internet posts, talking by phone with HP and via e-mail support from HP.  I became frustrated and gave up for awhile but now I want to see if there are any new solutions that I don't know about. I downloaded full feature software and drivers for the 6180 from HP and performed various levels of uninstall (L1, L2, L3, L4). I also cleaned the registry with ccleaner, windows disk cleanup and manual registry deletions when allowed per HP. I have checked port settings, tried stopping HP functions is Services.Msc. The Digital monitor is currently running, however no scanner communication-computer to 6180 and no scanner communication 6180 to computer. I can print and fax from computer wirelessly. I have ran the HP diagnostic utility separately and it appears everything is fine, connection IPaddress etc. During install when prompted to run test it says the printer is connected to the network. I have tried to add a device to the network after install and get the message no wireless devices found. The scanner does not appear under Cameras and Scanners in control panel. Nor will it find the scanner when I try to add device. Firewalls and antivirus have been turned off. Still can't make it work. Suggestions please.

Sorry about your pain.  L3 uninstall is what I recommend.  Re-install from hp.com and this time, with the printer properly attached it should flow OK.
