Changing package directory

During the installation arch asks me to select my package source, and it only gives me the options, CD or NET. I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow change the source to be a USB  stick because i could then load it up with everything i needed ahead of time, as the computer I'm installing on has no internet access.

That looks reasonable, the installation routine probably creates it.
What happens if you
mkdir -p /src/core/pkg
i ran the command, nothing happens
Is the directory structure created? Unix and Linux programs usually remain silent if everything went fine.

  • Change Package of OTR Objects in SAP R/3 6.20

    hi everybuddies,
is there a chance to change the package id for OTR objects (short texts) under SAP R/3 Release 6.20?
    Thanks for any help,
    Joerg.

I normally change the package assignment via SE09 (transports). Click on icon with Hammer and wrench (Tranport organizer tools). On next screen select entry 'Change Object Directory Entries' and press icon 'execute' (F8). On next screen enter
RT3R and SOTR and the name of the OTR object (alternative would be to use 'Z*' or maybe even part of object name.
On next screen select the object and press change button (top right of the screen).

  • How to change package for the program or t code if package not available?

I have a T Code that was imported from ECC5 to BW system.
This t code as well as its program have a package ZXYBC assigned in ECC5 system.
However, the package that it was assigned (ZXYBC) does not exist in BW but exists in ECC5.
Now I am not able to do any modifications (in the BW system)  to the T Code or its associated program as the Package ZXYBC does not exist in BW.
Note: Change Object Directory Entry does not work.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Open your main program of your TCODE in SE80 transaction.(Go to se93 transaction to get the program name for your TCODE).
Right click on the root node.
    Other Functions->Change Package Assignment.
GIve the new package name (THis package should be already created in your system).

  • Why the "Change Package" in Transport Connection shows "Request/Tasks"?

We want to transport our custom InfoCubes from Developement environment to Test environment:
RSA1 -> Transport Connection, select an InfoCube we created and drag it over to the right frame, group it by "In Dataflow Before and Afterwards". The Package column shows it's attached to $TMP that we would have to change it to a custom package that it can be transported over. We click the Package picture icon with a pencil trying to change the package attached from $TMP to a custom one, but can't find any custom package we created with SE80 from here and instead, in this window, the first column is "Request/Task" and the values under this column are all checkboxes. The last column is "Object Name". I wonder if the "Change Package" picture icon only lists all the request/task for the selected transport objects selected other than the packages we expect? Weird!
    Thanks

    hi Kevin,
the 'normal' way has been explained by Roberto and Siggi.
if you still want change package screen in transport connection, it will go to package change/object directory entry screen after you mark the 'request/task' and click 'V'
Re: Why created package with SE80 can't be found in Transport Connection?

Babu, what Tapash said is correct the only option remains is to chaging package name in all files using grep and then manually changing the directory structure.

  • SAP Note 1304803 - Manual Deletion vs Changing Package to SDEL

    Good afternoon, Experts
We're implementing this note and it is telling us to delete program TH_E070E but first it has us move it from package STRW to SDEL.  Package SDEL is labelled "Objects from SL Group Flagged for Deletion".
My question is - Since we've moved the program into package SDEL have we in affect "deleted" it or do we have to go further and actually now delete it altogether???
I'd appreciate any info you can share on this.
    Thanks,
    Chad

    Hello Chad
Yes, you have to manually delete it using se38->delete.
We did implement this note in our systems recently.
As per note, first while deleting TH_E070E using se38, did it give any message like: STRW doesn't exist ?
If yes, only then, I hope you have Changed Object Directory Entries, right ?
Now, you have to delete it manually using SE38 and now it should not give you message 'STRW doesn't exist', and will ask you for access key, both for developer and the object. Get it done from service.sap.com and put the access keys, program will be deleted.
    thanks

  • How can I change the directory in which I install oracle-xe-universal?

Because I need to install it into my ssd which is mounted in the other directory.
I know I can install the rpm package by relocate the root, but it won't work.
Where I can just change the directory where to install the oracle-xe?
    Thanks a lot.
    Best rgds,
    Robin

    Kay,
If you are looking at the entire music library ("Music") you can sort by any of the columns by clicking the column header.  If there is a column you can't see, enable it by going to View > View Options.
Within a playlist, you can do the same, and in addition you can click above the column of sequence numbers, which will then allow you to drag tracks up or down to get any order you wish.

    Hi,
    goto t_code se80->type program ->program name->right click other funcation->assizn package
    Also:
    follow these steps
    goto your program or script
    GOTO -> OBJECT DIRECTRY ENTRY
    click on change button
there you can change the package name very easily
    Also:
    use report
    RSWBO052
    to change package of scripts
This program can be used to edit the package and the persons responsible in the object directory:
On the selection screen, you can restrict the object set according to various criteria:
    Object type and object name
    Development class
    Person responsible
    Original system
    Package
    Generation flag
    Original language
    Objects with repair flag
If you do not make any restrictions on object type and object name, then the selection will be made according to all object types and object names.
    Also:
Goto the Tcode SE03 and select the option "change object directory entry" and execute.
You will get a list of standard ABAP objects. Now select an empty row and give "R3TR" and "FORM" and give your SAP script name in the text box and execute.
Here you can change the Package or Development class.
    Reward Points if found helpfull..
    Cheers,
    Chandra Sekhar.

  • How do you change the directory location from the hieachy window.

Our DAQ system consists of 285 vi's. During development changes, some vi's were created and passed to the DAQ via a LAN connection. Pulling up the vi's at the DAQ has changed the desired path such that some come from the LAN virtual drive, while others are resident on the DAQ PC. All have been copied to the PC's hard drive. Viewing the LabView hiearchy, how do I change the directory for a few individual vi's to point at only the PC harddrive? I saw this done once, but forgot how and cannot easy find it in the help files.

When this happens to me I temporarily disconnect the network drive or rename the network folder to force LabVIEW to do a search. If they're all in the same folder as the main VI, they'll be found automatically.
