Changing Podcast Title and Podcast Website link

Hello people,
I just made a new podcast and submitted it on itunes. It got accepted but I need to change the Title of the podcast and the website link in left bottom corner to refer to another website (my original website) while the link refers to the website the podcast is hosted on.
How is it possible to do this?
Thank You

If you are hand-writing the feed, the title of the podcast is contained in the 'title' tag, and the link to the website in the 'link' tab - these are both in the top section of the feed, between the 'channel' and the first 'item' tags. Re-upload and wait for the changes to appear - probably several days.
If you are using a program or online service to make you podcast, these will provide places where you originally entered the title and the link; change them there and republish.
It's possible that iTunes may not recognize the changes until you post a new episode.

  • Changing hosts, artwork and podcast description.

I currently have a podcast on iTunes that was until recently hosted using Audio Acrobat. I've discontinued that podcast and will be starting a new podcast using Blog Talk Radio (BTR) as my new host.
The new podcast on BTR will be different in brand and scope than the old/existing podcast. What I want to do is change the artwork, description, delete the old shows (that seems easy enough) and yet keep the existing iTunes feed.
Is it as easy as entering the existing iTunes feed that I have into the spot where BTR asks for it, or do I need to submit a new RSS URL to iTunes and start over with a new feed. The BTR people were not able to help on this.
Also, just how does a person update the podcast info if they're not going to this extreme? Does it automatically update if you change it on the host page at BTR, or wherever one might host?
    Thanks!
    Dave

iTunes takes all the information from the feed. If you keep the feed at the same URL, change the title and all the episodes, then after a day or two the changes will be reflected in the Store (just as episodes can be added and others removed without having to resubmit, you just change the feed).
If you wanted to move the feed to a different server while keeping the podcast the same, there is a definite procedure for this:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/whatson/podcasts/specs.html#changing
Note that this entails leaving the old feed in place until the change has been registered.
If you want to change the name and scope of the podcast, and change the feed URL, then frankly you will find it easier to start over from scratch and submit the new feed as a new Podcast.

  • How to change the author and "podcast website," in iTunes store?

    Hi,
my itunes store page is http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-fallacy-a-day-podcast/id469610386 and my podcast is hosted on a free account at Podomatic.
It seems that the information on that page is drawn from the data on my Podomatic feed, including the "iTunes" page in my Podomatic account. All I ever did on iTunes is to go into the store section of iTunes and submit the rss URL.
I've read the FAQ but can't see how to change these features of my iTunes store page:
    1. On my itunes store page the title is: "The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast By The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast" but I would rather it be "The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast by fallacaday.com"
    2. Also on that page, under "Links" on the right, if you click Podcast website it takes you to fallacyaday.podomatic.com but I would prefer that iTunes store visitors are directed to my podcast's home page at fallacyaday.com.
As it stands, my homepage is being completely bypassed by some downloaders (although I do mention it in the podcast episodes themselves) and I have no metric on how many people are downloading the podcast. My Google Analytics indicate a constant number of visitors each day while the Podomatic bandwidth usage is increasing. I have no idea of what proportion of downloaders are doing so on Podomatic vs iTunes. Podomatic's own statistics (for the free account) are almost totally useless because they oscillate wildly from one day to the next.
Thanks to anyone who can offer help on these two questions!

Everything in the iTunes Store about your podcast is carried in the feed: the title is in the 'title' tag and the link in the 'link' tag. Although I'm not familiar with Podomatic my understanding is that you don't have access to the feed yourself, but have to set the details within Podomatic.
It should be easy enough to change the title by changing it wherever you originally set it. As to the link, I've seen others complaining that it directs to the podomatic site and can't be changed. Obviously they want to attract attention to their own service. I imagine this can't be changed but it's something you would need to take up with Podomatic.
Even if you had the correct link most visitors probably won't bother with it. If they are interested they will subscribe to your podcast in iTunes and listen to the episodes there - there's no reason to go to the site. iTunes does not provide usage statistics, and visits to your website aren't really relevant.
I'm afraid that the problem with all these online services is that they are what they are - they make it easy to get a podcast up and running but the facilities they provide may not always be exactly want you want and can't be changed.

  • Changing podcast title and name of episode

    I just started a podcast: http://thyroiddisorder.hipcast.com/rss/my-thyroid-story.xml
However things are in the wrong order such as title.  The title of the name of my podcast should be: Holistic approach to thyroid disorder.  NOT: My thyroid story.  the episode should be: My thyroid story. Not: Holistic approach to thyroid disorder.  The description of the podcast should not be what is there.  So please give me info on how I can change  this.  Thank you

Your iTunes Store page is at http://itunes.apple.com/podcast/my-thyroid-story/id564085746 and is called 'My Thyroid Story'.
The Store is looking for a feed at
    http://thyroiddisorder.hipcast.com/rss/holistic-approach-to-thyroid-disorder-my- journey.xml
but there is no feed at this address; the feed URL you give is no use to iTunes, You need to rename the feed file to match the URL I've given and re-upload it, otherwise your iTunes Store page will never update (and will likely enough be removed). You should do that as soon as possible, then worry about changing the title, which you should do in the feed without changing its filename.
When you make changes to the feed, like altering details or adding a new episode, you don't need to re-submit it (indeed you can't) - just re-upload it. It will take the Store a couple of days or so to catch up.

  • HT5295 Podcast categories and podcasts are in English and not in Italian

Podcast app is in Italian language
Iphone: podcast categories and database are in Italian
Ipad: podcast categories and database are in english
IOS 5.1.1. in Italian both in Ipad and Iphone
    Same apple id
You can see in pic that buttons in the app are in Italian but podcasts are in english
    Thanks and ciao.
    Andrea

Some websites have a link for an international version that allows to select the language, so you can look for that (it may appear as a flag icon).
Local Google sites have a link at the bottom of the page to go to the [http://www.gooogle.com/ncr "Google.com in English"] site.
You may need to hover that local Google page with the mouse to make extra content appear.
You can set Google preferences on the [http://www.google.com/preferences?hl=en Google Search settings] page (click the gear icon at the top right).
Such settings are stored in a cookie on your computer that you need to allow.

  • How to Change Default Title and Icon of Forms 5.0 Runtime

Whenever i run Forms 5.0 runtime , it always shows
'Developer 2000 Forms Runtime for Windows 95/ NT'.
If i set a title to the main window then also the above message preceeds my Title of Window.
Is there any way to remove that ????
My Application is ready for delivery but the only problem is this title message. and also,, I want to change my own ICON in place of deafult icon
    How to do that

    Hi,
You can always change you Window title at runtime.
On Windows, You ALWAYS have a container window (There is an option from 5.0 onwards to avoid this container window) and at least one window in you applciation e.g. window0.
Use the following command to change the title of the MDI window:
    set_window_property (FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,title,'My Application');
    For window0, try this:
    set_window_property ('WINDOW0',title,'Registration of Employee');
Please see all the options available in the online help of forms under SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY.
    Bye,

  • How to include Change Request Title and Description in Approval email

Trying to figure out how to include the title and description of a Change Request in the email that goes to the managers when they approve it. Below is what we have now in the email template.
    Change request $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Id$: $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity'
    SeedRole='Target' TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Title$, created by $Context/Path[Relationship='WorkItem!System.WorkItemCreatedByUser' TypeConstraint='System!System.User']$?$DisplayName$?, requires your
    approval.
You can complete this request by replying to this message with [Approved] or [Rejected] in your message body (note the brackets).
Alternatively, you can complete the request by looking up Review Activity $Context/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Id$ under the Activity Management views in the Service Manager Console and manually approving or rejecting it there.
    This basically translates to:
Change request CR#: Test Change Request, created by TestUser1, requires your approval.
You can complete this request by replying to this message with [Approved] or [Rejected] in your message body (note the brackets).
Alternatively, you can complete the request by looking up Review Activity RA# under the Activity Management views in the Service Manager Console and manually approving or rejecting it there.
When I click on Insert, there is a huge list of items and sub-items with all kinds of properties and I don't know what to select.
The Targeted Class of the template is Activity

    $Context/Path[Relationship='CustomSystem_WorkItem_Activity_Library!System.WorkItemContainsActivity' SeedRole='Target'
    TypeConstraint='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Property[Type='WorkItem!System.WorkItem']/Title$
This translates to the Title of the CR (given that the targeted activity is contained in a CR). Simply replace
    Title with Description.
Also if the Change Manager can approve a CR just by the description you have bigger issues (or just putting everything in the description). What about a reason? Implementation
    plan, rollback plan, testing, etc.?

  • ITunes is changing song titles and artists

iTunes appears to be infrequently and randomly changing the artist and song title tags of music in my library.  I usually just put my music on random shuffle, so it can take me a long time to actually identify errors -- like when I listen to music from a particular artist, or when I happen to glance at iTunes when a song iTunes has mis-re-named is playing.  So far, the errors seem to confined within single albums at a time, but that might just be because of the circumstances of me identifying the errors.
In the first case I noticed a while back, an album with six songs had their titles all jumbled up.  Each song was titled with an incorrect song title from the same album.  The artist, album, and genre tags all remained correct.  In the most recent case, two songs from a compilation album had their artist and song title tags overwritten with the info from a third track on the same album (so I ended up with three songs with the same title and artist).
Any idea what might be causing this apart from a crappy coding?

    ed2345 wrote:
If iTunes and WMP are referencing the same copy of the MP3, then a tag change in one will be reflected in the other. If that is not what you want, you will need separate copies of the song.
Being picky, iTunes will write it's changes to the tag immediately (unless the file is locked as read-only) whereas WMP may choose to do it at some later point in time unless you use an option to "Apply media information changes". WMP will generally notice automatically that another appliation has modified the tag and updates it's library accordingly whereas iTunes only spots the change if it accesses the tag for some reason.
If you want WMP & iTunes to play nicely together you are best off disabling the WMP options for "Rearrange music in the rip folder..." and "Automatic media information update..." (you can still do so manually). I also find it best to change the WMP rip folder to the same as the iTunes Music folder. Letting iTunes "Keep the music folder organised" is a matter of choice (I choose not) but at least WMP can cope if your files get shuffled around by iTunes whereas the reverse is not the case.

  • Changing track speeds and podcast to mp3 conversion

    Two parts to this:
1)I am learning Spanish and have several podcasts in the language for which I would like to slow down the speech slightly (without affecting pitch) is there anyway of doing this without converting the file?
    2) I am sure this is possible with a standard mp3 file. Is there a way to convert a podcast into standard mp3 format? and any suggestions of software that will perform the task above.

  • After update, Podcast Title and Description takes over the entire screen

Can't they set the app to cut off after a certain amount of characters like the old app was?

I presume you are runnning iTunes on either an OS X 10.7 or OS X 10.8 system. Move the cursor to the very top of the screen so that the menu bar appears, then click the blue box with the arrows at the very right corner of the menu bar, or press Shift-Command-F. That will switch iTunes back to a normal window, which it should then remember for future launches.
    Regards.

  • Does anybody know how to change the title of your podcast on iTunes and the description of it?

I was working on my feed site and when the podcast popped up on iTunes I realized that I put the wrong info and title on it. Anybody know?

You change the title and descriptions by entering the changed versions in wherever you originally entered the items in whatever system you are using to create your feed, then re-publish the feed; it will take the iTunes Store a couple of days or so to catch up.
However, if the method you are using to create your feed is one of those which uses the title of the podcast as part of the URL, and this changes if you change the title, then if you change the URL as a result the iTunes Store will lose contact with it and fail to update in future: so be careful about this.

  • Changing Podcast Title & Info

I changed the title of my podcast and some of the info (like summary, description, etc.). I then pinged the URL as the tech specs described and the ping was successful.
But the new title and new info is not showing up in the music store. Is it just a matter of time or did I do something wrong?

The title is carried in the 'title' tag in the feed: amend this and the Store will pick up the change after a couple of days. If you are using a program or service to create your feed you should be able to change the title and re-publish.
However, if your program creates a URL based on the title of your podcast it will change the URL, which then won't be seen by iTunes. In order to get round this you are going to have to go through a process:
Download your present feed from your server.
Change the name in your program and re-publish. This will produce a new feed, with the changed title, on your server.
In the original feed you downloaded, add this in the top section, after the 'channel' tag:
<itunes:new-feed-url>FULL URL OF YOUR NEW FEED</itunes:new-feed-url>
Upload this modified feed to the server.
The iTunes Store will change to your new feed, probably fairly quickly, though it may take a couple of days before the title change shows.
If you are using an online service which doesn't give you access to the server, you are stuck. It's either put up with no title or start over as a new podcast and submit that afresh to the Store.
And please, when you have a query, post your feed and Store page URLs.

  • E-books and podcasts in french and NOT automatically in german in Switzerland

How to get e-books and podcasts in french and NOT automatically in german, even living in Switzerland, but in the french part of Switzerland?
In Switzerland, 70% speak german but there is a large part speaking french.
As I am living in the french part of Switzerland, I speak french and NOT german. How to change my ebook and podcast applications from german to french? I don't want to see a book or à podcast in german anymore on those apps. In french, please! Or possibly in english. But NOT in german.
Thank you in advance and kind regards.

This is a user to user forum. You are not addressing Apple here, but you can offer feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/.
However, Apple does not control the laungages that e-books or podcasts are published in for a given itunes store. That is up to the publisher. Perhaps you should reach out to them.

  • Podcast Producer and Internet Explorer

I've configured Podcast Producer on 10.6.8, and it is working fine - items are processed from the Capture software through to PcP2 and Xgrid, and are then uploaded to a Wiki.
The issue is with clients using Internet Explorer (any version) and their ability to play audio files uploaded from Capture or through the web interface of the wiki. Videos work fine, but whatever code is used to upload just audio files to the wiki cannot be interpreted by IE. I know that 10.6.8 was meant to address some of these issues, but I am just not sure how to proceed.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
    Cheers
    Kieran

Not sure if this will fix your problem, but I was having the same problem until I looked at the specs for XGrid, it has to run on an Intel Mac. This is where you can get the specs:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306737
Here is what is in the doc:
    Podcast Capture requirements
Any Mac running Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
iSight camera (built-in or external) or FireWire DV camcorder
    Podcast Producer Server requirements
Any Mac running Mac OS X Server version 10.5 Leopard
Xsan for optional cluster file services
    Podcast Producer Xgrid rendering requirements
Any Intel-based Macintosh Server or Intel-based desktop Mac (a Mac Pro, for example)
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X Server version 10.5 Leopard
At least 1 GB of memory (RAM) plus 512 MB of additional RAM per processor core
At least 50 GB of available disk space
Xsan for optional cluster file services
    Quartz Extreme-enabled video chipset
Note: Quartz Extreme support can be verified in the Graphics section of Apple System Profiler.
Note: If a system is providing multiple Podcast services (for example, Podcast Producer and Podcast Producer Xgrid rendering), the system needs to meet both requirements.
