Changing ratio of slides

I'm inserting slides throughout my video and the slides don't seem to be the same ratio as the video frame so you can still see the video above and below the slides. How can I change it so that the slides take up the entire frame?

If the pixel dimension of the images doesn't match that of your Sequence, you will see whatever is below the images - black if there is nothing below. If they're not the same size, you can enlarge them up to 100% scale ... but even then they may not have the same aspect ratio as your Sequence.

Fix for change events in Slider and ScrollBar. They now dispatch change events as before, whenever the user alters the value. In addition, changeStart and changeEnd events will be dispatched at the start and end of a user interaction or animation.
TrackBase.as - Added metadata for changeStart/End events. Dispatch change, changeStart/End events when appropriate.
Slider.as - Dispatch change, changeStart/End events when appropriate.
ScrollBar.as - Dispatch the appropriate events. Note that changeStart/End will not dispatch when shift-clicking on a non-animating ScrollBar. Renamed animatingSinglePage to animatingOnce to better reflect its function. Refactored some method calls to the new private stopAnimation(), which is more consistent with Slider. Refactored the button handlers to make stepping more readable. Added a setValue call in animationEndHandler where we were ending up off the snapInterval when shift-clicking.
Updated FlexEvent, ScrollBarTestScript and VideoPlayer to handle the new events.

DP_Cannot change Ratio of each product

Dear Expert!
In the Demand Planning,There is a Standard KF for Proprional Factors (APODPDANT). Whith this KF, When We change From "Absolute" to "Percentage" and change Ratio of each Product.
Now, I create New KF (Z_COCAU) to Perform similar funtions as APOPDANT KF. The Type of Z_COCAU KF is "NUMBER". But When I move from "Absolute" to "Percentage", I cannot change Ratio of each Product in this KF.
I don't know What's problem here.

Can't change the first slide in a slideshow

I'm using iPhoto 09, version 8.1.1, (419). When I create a slideshow I am unable to change the first slide in the slideshow. I've tried these alternatives 1) deleted the slide (it won't delete) 2) moving the first slide to follow the second slide 3) moving the second slide to appear before the first slide. In all cases, iPhoto freezes and this requires rebooting iPhoto.
I just experienced this since 12/30. These are moderately sized slideshows (50-200 slides). I am an avid user of iPhoto slideshows and I've never experienced this before. I can't change any of the first slides in about 8 slideshows I've created after Christmas.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is anyone else interested in putting together a comprehensive list of recommended changes to iPhoto? It seems that after each new release old problems are fixed and new ones are created that are pretty basic. I am an avid fan of iPhoto but don't understand why the application can be so quirky. Thanks.

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
If that fails try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)

Just made my first slide show in Aperture 3. The program defaults all slide show photos to a display time of 3 sec. How do I change all the slides from 3 sec to something else?

I played around with templates hoping that would bring forth some hidden "slide duration" controls...but no luck.
In iPhoto I can change the slide duration for each slide individually.
For A3...this capability eludes me.
Anyone figure this out yet?

Changing layout of slides in ''Reflections" theme - is this possible?

Hi, I am using iPhoto 11, version 9.3.2 - making a slideshow using the 'reflections' theme.
It seems like there is some great logic, which groups similar photos together - mostly its exactly right, but sometimes i want to change it and i can't seem to find a way to force a certain layout for a group of photos - like going from 2 horizontal pics to display as 2 vertcial side-by-side pics. I find that if i click 'Text slide' (at the bottom) and then click back the layout changes, but i have no controll over what the change is and i can't work out if there is some sort of hidden logic ... can anybody help - i'm going crazy trying to figure it out? If there is no way to controll this i can stop trying

It's all hit or miss as far as we've been able to determine. You could try moving the photos around in the photo tray at the top. That may be a bit less hit or miss. Send a feature requrest to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

I'm new to keynotes and I have a lot of powerpoint presentations I'm trying to salvage. I can't get the slides to change on a click plus I can't find the way to change the "transition" time changes within each slide. Where can I find the answer

to run a presentation using manual control:
Inspector > Document: set Presentation to Normal
many transitions set in PowerPoint are not available in Keynote; to set the transition options:
Inspector > Slide > Transition
select the effect you want and either choose auto or manual control

I want to change the color of the slider in my gui.
I tried it with the UIManager:

So if you are going to suggest I change the ratio from 16:9 to 16:10 or something like that please explain what that is and how I specifically do it in iMovie for Dummies talk.

Changing Size of Slides

I need to change my slide size to 112 cm by 112 cm to make a poster, however I do not know how to do that in pixel measurements.

Keynote is a screen based presentation application, it does not scale correctly to produce full page printed images, use Pages that comes with the iWork suite, that's exactly what its designed for.

Nevermind, I found it in the Adobe Captivate folder under Gallery\Printoutput. From there you will have 3 different word docs, Lesson.doc Step by step.doc, and Stroyboard.doc. You make the change desired output document.

View Change Animation For Slide Off/On Screen?

I found the view change animations for flipping and peeling, but is there a way to get one view to slide off the left side of the screen and another one slide in from the right?

No, for some reason the push animation used by the Nav Controller isn't available with UIView animation. You can use CATransition, which includes push from left or right types (see the ViewTransitions sample app). But that transition isn't the same as you get with the Nav Controller. Some people don't like the way the outgoing view fades at the end of the transition.

Automatic intro, change ratio of my video

Did someone know why iDVD 6, change the ratio of my 16:9 video to a 4:3 video with the black bar on each side.
My DVD project is set to 16:9, when I export the video from iMovie 6 in a DV file, it is 16:9, but when I put it in the automatic startup
(you know in the plan view you can put a video there and when you read the new DVD this short intro can start automatically) this intro video become 4:3 with no reason.
I try in iDVD 7 and the same video stay in 16:9.
Also, if I export from iMovie 6 directly to iDVD 6, the video stay 16:9 but that way im unable to insert it in the auto start zone in the plan view.
Yes I need to use iDVD 6 because in iDVD 7 I got an error of multiplexing and the original project was made in iDVD 6

Yep, an old bug in iDVD 6.
HOW TO MAINTAIN 16:9 ASPECT FROM IMPORT TO BURN
This is the way I did it. There is no compulsion on you to do it my way, but this worked (for me). I started this method before iMovie and iDVD were upgraded to 6.0.3, and because not all elements of the various iDVD themes (particularly the pre-iDVD 6 ones) are consistent in keeping to 16:9 throughout the process. This problem no longer exists in iDVD 7.
The widescreen preview works just fine when you check your finished project within iDVD. The problem only happens when you either burn a project or save it to an image.
However, a bug in iDVD 6, particularly when working with PAL, and which has been reported to Apple, is that the sub-menus in many of the themes (the chapter settings) default to 4:3 aspect, NTSC and mpeg 1, instead of the desired 16:9 in mpeg 2 in PAL. This may be partly a leftover from iDVD 5 or even a newer ‘feature’ of iDVD 6. The bug is not present in iDVD 7 which is a big improvement on iDVD 6.
Here is my failsafe workaround, which sounds a lot more complicated when reading about it, that it is in practice.
Living in the UK, I use PAL (25 fps). Wherever you see a reference to PAL (25 fps) in the following you may substitute NTSC (30 fps) in the various settings mentioned (if you don’t live in Europe), the basic idea is the same. I still use this method, and take these steps, regardless of whether it is always necessary. Worst case scenario: it would have worked anyway. Best case scenario: it works perfectly where it otherwise wouldn’t!
The object of the exercise is therefore to ‘fix’ all constituent parts of the project (video, titles, theme, effects, even audio!) in the desired 16:9 aspect to avoid producing a DVD where the movie is in 16:9 and the menu is in 4:3 or where other irritating surprises lurk in your project, which you only discover after burning a coaster!
First go to http://www.mydvdedit.com/index.php?lang=english and download myDVDedit. This is shareware although the download is free. Send the guy a few dollars/euros, he deserves it. While you are there, read all about it. Now install it in your Applications Folder. You will need it later.
You have finished your iMovie project with music, transitions and so on, and saved it to you Movies Folder. Before you started the project you naturally set it to DV Widescreen.
Open iDVD. Give the project a name, and save it as Widescreen if it didn’t default to the same aspect as your iMovie project. Now import the iMovie project into iDVD, choose a theme (any theme you like, even if it prefers to stay at 4:3) and save the project. Do what you would normally do to the theme and its drop zones. Save the project.
Now save as Disk Image on your desktop. Leave it there for the moment when it has finished/appeared.
Open your Movies Folder. Create a new folder. Name it PROJECTNAME – TS FILES (where ‘projectname’ is the name of your project!). Close the folder. You can of course call it anything you like, but this aids identification.
Now double-click the disk image on your desktop. It contains two folders: AUDIO_TS (which is empty, but please pretend that it isn’t) and VIDEO_TS. Drag and drop these to the folder you created in your Movies Folder. (This takes a moment).
Click on the AUDIO_TS folder and go to Get Info in the file menu. Right down the bottom is where you have to change the permissions. Under ‘Ownership & Permissions’ change this from Read Only to Read & Write. Click the small triangle next to Details, scroll down and click on ‘Apply to enclosed items’. You will be asked for your root password. Close the get info window, and now click on the VIDEO_TS folder and do the same. Close the Projectname-TS Files folder. You have now allowed yourself to change the properties of the contents of those folders, which leads us to the next all-important step.
Open myDVDedit. Go to File and open the projectname TS Files folder. By all means stare at it shock and awe, but don’t bother finding out what it can do, except for the following:
Top left you fill see a list of files. Lower centre you have a large window. On the vertical menu to the left of that, click te middle one (VTS or VMG).
In the window at the top left, ignore ‘First Play’ (if there was anything to correct in that, myDVDedit will have done so and told you).
Click on VMG Menu en (English). Now the whole thing springs to life.
Set Coding Mode to MPEG-2 (if it isn’t already)
Set Standard to PAL (or NTSC if that is what you want)
Set Aspect to 16:9 (not any of the other options)
Now save the file.
Click on VTS Menu 1 en (English) and repeat as above.
Click on VTS Menu 2 and repeat as above.
You have now permanently ‘fixed’ the entire contents of the TS folder (the disk image) in 16:9 aspect. Close myDVDedit – you won’t need it again until the next project!
If you have Toast 7 Titanium, open it. ‘Select DVD-Video from VIDEO_TS’. Choose Select from the main Toast window and select your projectname-TS Files folder. You are now ready to burn! You can set the burn speed (2x recommended) before the burn commences. Allow Toast to verify the burn before you eject the DVD-R disk.
If you don’t have Toast 7, then I assume you can burn the projectname-TS Files folder (disk image) via Disk Utility. I say ‘assume’ only because I have never tried it that way.
Either way, you now have a DVD which will play as 16:9 widescreen on any TV set, even the old ones where you can’t ask it to letter-box.
