Changing Re-recording 'waiting' time

Hi,
Does anyone know how to change the waiting time when using a
re-record script.
I'm using using a re-recording script and for some reason
Captivate believes it has to wait for 15 seconds between certain
actions - when it actually doesn't need to. Its waiting for a
window to open or download - when it already has - so Iguess it's
missing some type of trigger within the app I'm recording.
I'd like to reduce this waiting time down to a couple of
seconds but can't find where within captivate or the scripting file
you do it.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

rerecording as of now is supported only for web pages on
internet explorer. You are trying to use the functionality on non
web page application.

If I fax using my external USB modem, and I get a busy signal, the system waits something like three minutes before redialing. Is there a way I can change that to 1 minute? I can't find the preference for that anywhere I've looked, but I'm betting it exists somewhere.

I'm not sure this will work, but you can try it. ..
Create a character style that does nothing but apply the contextual alternates attribute (check the box under OpenType Features inthe style defintion dialog). Then add a GREP style to your paragraph style to match the "a" and apply the character style you just created.

Yes its possible to change that .
You need to implement BADI for this ..
BADI name : "PT_ABS_REQ"
In the BADI "PT_ABS_REQ" interface "IF_EX_PT_ABS_REQ" you can find the method
"SET_CALENDAR_COLOR" in that you can set the colure for the Absent type ......
Adjust Colors of Calendar and Team Calendar
Functionality
You can use this method to change the colors in the team calendar.
In the standard system, the different statuses for requests have different colors. You can use this method to differentiate the colors of requests depending on the following aspects:
Status of requests (status)
Action that an employee has executed: new request, delete, change (UIA operation)
Subtype of absence (SUBTY)
Full-day or partial-day absence (BEGMT, where BEGMT = 0 signifies a full-day absence)
Application mode ( mode). You specify the application mode in the Select Employees for the Team Calendar IMG activity.
Color Display of Status of Leave Requests(COLORS_ACTIVE). You specify this status in the Specify How Leave Is Displayed and Default Values IMG activity.
Available Colors
You have a choice of 16 colors. The 16 colors are hard coded, that is, you cannot change them or add other ones.
The available colors are stored with their RGB value as constants of the CL_PT_REQ_CONST class. Use these constants if you want to change the colors.
Notes
If you change the colors in the team calendar, you should also adapt the legend accordingly. You can use the Adjust Legend for Calendar and Team Calendar method to do so.

In monitor screen, under status, I am seeing the wait time date as next month date.
So the technical status is yellow in color though the data is loaded.

When changed Timeout time in Info package it will reflect to particular infopackage only .
If u changed in RSMO tcoe and settings- menutab
Waiting time upto status incorrect - it will reflect to all infopackages.
We can maintain the value in years, months, days,hours,minutes and second also.

Windows 8 won't save my screensaver wait time changes

I have a new HP laptop with Windows 8, I set everything up and adjusted screensaver wait times to 15 minutes (from one) and despite clicking apply and then OK, the settings keep reverting to one minute. It's incredibly frustrating because the computer goes
to lockscreen and screensaver mode after one minute and I'm constantly logging back in if I am reading a screen or editing. This must be a glitch of some sort and I'm thinking of switching to a MAC instead. This is ridiculous.

What is your current situation?
Have you checked the thread shared by britishdhez? Please go User Accounts under Control Panel and then check if there is a 'Reset Security Policies' option available, if yes, click it and change the screensaver timeout again, if there is no such option
available, the policy on your computer is on the default settings or it is managed by the administrator (If the machine is in domain).
Further, please follow the steps mentioned by Niki in the above thread to continue the troubleshoot steps.

Changing the default tab in Record Working Time iview of ESS

How can we change the Default tab from WEEKLY to DAYLY in Record Working Time iview of ESS .

We have been told by SAP this is not possible to do.
There may be some changes to this in Ehp 5, but I am not sure.

Long waiting times when going back to the organizer after doing changes of images. Elements 11.

After doing changes of images and going back to the organizer I have to wait a long time. This was not the case when I used elements 9. I have a lot of images stored around 18000. There are also often long waiting times when I move around in the organizer. Any suggestion?

Inconsistent IO Wait Time

I'm trying to comprehend why oracle seems to more efficiently table scan a table when it has more rows than when it has less.
I have run a bunch of queries against the database, and I have tracked their wait events stats.
And it seems that this ratio:
ReacorsPerWait = #records/ wait_time,
where db_file_scattered_read is the most significant wait event by a lot
This Ratio simply Increases on and on, although the rate of increase grows eventually slower.
Namely, this ratio is practically the same when the relatio changes from 25 Million tuples to 125 Million tuples. But
before reaching that ratio threshold, the ratio increases quite significantly from test to test.
(From 0.2 Million to 1 million, to 5 million and to 25 Million...
It increases way too fast. I get changes in rate of more than 40%)
I just cannot make any sense of this performance change, If the number of records is increasing by 5 the IO time should also be increasing by 5.
What I have tried to do to fix this at some constant rate was: set the db_multiblock_read_count at some constant value. I set it up to like 10 MB. (10* 1024 KB / 8 KB)
But the results are the same, with or without a fixed multiblock read count, Oracle IOs faster when the relation is bigger. What is the cause of this? Any Ideas.
Another interesting thing is that the Cache Hit Ratio is reducing as the IO speed is increasing.
But the number of physical reads increase proportionately (times 5). I thought that this migh be explained because Oracle might Use larger Multi Block Reads when the relation was larger - or something like that.
But now I know that that cannot be the reason.
(By the way: this change in rate could be explained - partially - in the tests from 0.2Million to 1 million due to other wait time like reading control file, which is significant for small examples. But from 1 Million oward, approximately 99% of the wait time is doing the db file scattered read)

All sorts of strange side effects can appear when you create single user tests on small machines, and you have to be careful to consider the effects of multi-user activity on "realistic" system when constructing tests. It can be quite difficult to identify the points where a test is not properly representative of the mechanism you are trying to investigate.

"Waiting time until status incorrect" - BI delta loading issue

Hi All,
We have a delta master data load, which happens daily. It runs almost for 40 minutes, there is no extraction happening for first 31-32 minutes and the thousands of records are picked in the subsequent few minutes.
After 30 minutes, the load is momentarity turning into status 'RED' and the load is picking up as usual. I could see there is a setting for the load in RSMO transaction itself, in Settings tab --> Waiting Time Until Status Incorrect. In this settings time set is 30 minutes.
Now can some help me in changing this setting time value or speed up the loading (i.e. to pick before 30 minutes). This has been happening for the past one week. Any help is highly appreciable, as this job fails unnecessarily in monitoring tool.

I had a performance issue for an infopackage loading from Generic datasource. The reason was identified as Index not being not created for the source table.

Incredibly long wait times [SOLVED]

anyone have any idea why I'd be getting *incredibly* long wait times on my server? [http://omploader.org/vNTRuYg]
it only seems to affect my wordpress installation, though.. everything else seems ok. I don't get it.
EDIT: changing the SCRIPT_FILENAME fastcgi_param to $document_root$fastcgi_script_name seemed to help quite a bit.

Problem in Creation of Change Master Record in CC01 (ECM)

its due to the number ranges that is specified in the partner determination ... chech what is the number range assigned in the parner determination ,,, so once u check that u have to manually enter the number between that range only .. this should solve ur problem...
path to check the number range is as below :
spro-img-logistic generalbusiness partner-customers---define account groups and field selection ---
at this point click position button at the bottom and give ur account group .. select ur account group and click detail button .. now inside that u can see the specified number range .. dafault is 08 ( means u can specify between 400000 to 499999)..
and some times u may not have defined number range... check urs and create accordingly ... this should solve ur problem...

Subsequent update of record, long time to appear in Journalized View

Hi,
I'm running some integration tests that do an insert into a source table, commits the insert, updates that record, commits the update. The cscn numbers are widely spaced, for example, the insert is 69997742 and the update is 70000579. I have a scheduled scenario running every few minutes that as a first step, extends window and locks subscriber.
What I'm seeing is the Insert will get propagated to the target immediately, but then the cscn number doesn't change for a long time, and at some random time in the future it will be updated and the update record will make it throguh to the target. I'm seeing time differences of 7 - 11 minutes between the arrival of the insert to the target and the arrival of the update.
Does anyone know how to decrease this "latency", is there a way of speeding up the time it takes for the cscn number to increment?
I found the following two tuning commands and have tried them, but I'm still seeing a long period of time between the insert and update,
begin dbms_capture_adm.alter_capture(capture_name=>'CDC$C_SAMS_INTEG', checkpoint_retention_time => 7); end;
begin dbms_capture_adm.set_parameter('CDC$C_SAMS_INTEG', 'parallelism','4'); end;
Any ideas would be appreciated!

We temporarily solved the problem by switching to synchronous CDC. When we ran a performance analyzer over the database while data capture was taking place we found logmnr was taking around 6 minutes to query the data dictionary which looked like this bug: https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=458214.1 which is apparently fixed. So the either the bug isnt fixed or we haven't configured the database correctly. Anyone know a good tutorial for getting the right configuration for archive logging, number of redo logs and their size, and retention policies etc?

ECM: Change Master Record in Production Order

I have created a Change Master Record and made change to the BOM with respect to that change master record.
Now I want the Change master record (Eg. 001) to be visible in the production order (Master Data tab) when the production order is created.
Also, I would like to know if I can change the change master record (to say, 002) in the Production order so that the BOM with respect to that particular Change master record is selected.

I think at the time of creating Change master record u haven't maintained the Object types.
In that View u have to maintain Tick at the check box of Actv., Object & MgtRec of Object types-- Bill Of Material & Task List.
This will resolve your problem of Change Master Record Display at the time of Production order Creation at View of Master Data.
