Can anyone help me in changing subject of the Report like for example we recive report by same subject like "Report Sent from Report Builder" we need to change this while sending from person to person..Thanks

You can generate the report output to a file. And using the UTL_SMTP
or UTL_MAIL send the file as an attachment. And in this case you can change your subject and you can also have a body

@842704 - Yes, you can change. Go to the Advanced Tab of the report, in the Request XML find and replace the name of your old SA name with the new name. Once done hit the Set XML button to apply your changes and save your report. We had done this for few reports and observed that mainly there are two instances found in the XML where the name of SA appears.

@Deepak - Had a query regarding changing the name of Subject Area with the option you provided. When we had tried to use that option (which is simpler than what I mentioned above), we observed that it used to work fine. However, in the request XML we found that for saw:criteria tag the value was updated but not for saw:filter (it still used to hold the name of old SA). Although the report worked fine. Any thoughts regarding this behaviour?

LSMW:
There are 2 ways for transporting LSMW data from a system to another.
Export/import this method gives you the opportunity to select the subprojects or objects you want to transfer. LSMW -> Extras -> Export project
Transport request with this method, you can transport a LSMW project in full (you can not select the objects you want). With this method, the project will be transported as any other SAP object in a transport order. LSMW -> Extras -> Create change request
Program variants
If you have several program variants in a development system that you want to transport, use the following method to transport them:
Execute program 'RSTRANSP' (via se38) and inform the program and/or variant names (you can transport variant of several programs in one shot).
Layout
In some transactions, one can save layout of the screen (sort, filter, ... criteria).
These layouts can be transported: In the required transaction, when your layouts have been saved, go to Settings -> Layout -> Layout Management. Select the desired layouts and go to Layout -> Transport... There you can add your layouts in existing TO or create a new one.
Database data
In some unusual cases, you might have to transport data of a SAP table.
Go to transaction SE16, select your entries and go to Table entry -> Transport entries. It's only possible for some tables...
If you cannot do it that way,you have to create a Workbench transport order with transaction SE10. When created, click on it, go in menu Request/task -> Object list -> Display object list.
Go in modification mode and add a new line with:
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TABU
Object name = Name of your table
Double-click on the created line and, depending on your need, put '*' in the key field or double-click on it and select the key you need to transport.
Queries
Queries, datasets and user groups can be exported/imported between the systems using the Program RSAQR3TR.
Report template (ALV variants)
There is a button or somewhere in the menu Change/Select/Save/Manage Layout.
Go to Manage Layout, than Layout menu/ Transport.
SAPSCRIPT Files Transport
Use the program RSTXSCRP to upload and Download the SAPSCRIPT files to different systems
Transport SAPSCRIPT
Use the Program RSWBO052 to create the Transport Request for a SAPSCRIPT, In the Selection screen of the program, give R3TR FORM Give the Form name and press Execute button, it will ask the Development Class and the transport Request No.
Standard texts
Standard texts used in SAPScript(created with transaction SO10) can be included in transport orders. You have to create a Workbench transport order with transaction SE10. When created, click on it, go in menu Request/task -> Object list -> Display object list. Go in modification mode and add a new line with:
PgmID = R3TR
Obj = TEXT
Object name = TEXT,,ST,
Example :
R3TR / TEXT / TEXT,YMM_MEDRUCK_MAIN_16_EC,ST,F

Actually what i did,i created a report and save that report with .rdf extension.I set reports_path(In Registry) property to the particular folder where i put all of my reports.In forms developer i add the report as report object from that folder.i set the following few lines in a button click event

Dynamic Menu error when saving to Crystal Reports Server R2 & Developer XI

In Crystal Reports XI developer I installed SP 4 the other day and when I save a report to the reporting server it seems to corrupt the dynamic menu when we open the report in the info view page the first selection in the cascading menu is OK but when I select items from the first menu it is just populating the second select box with what I selected in the first box
I have it set to multiple
If I run the report in the developer the menu selection work OK ?
Also is any one else having a problem in the developer when selecting a date in using the calendar?

Change mail subject and body text

Hi all,
i activated access method M in tr. SPAD and via this method i'm sending various reports in PDF to external e-mails. But when recepitiens recive e-mail i have subject of e-mail composed of SYSTEM ID and SPOOL NUMBER (e.g. R3P-12345) and i also have defaulted mail body text :
The Mail Attachment Contains the Print File Created by User XXXXX , with Number xxxx from SAP System R3P .
To Print the Data, Open the Mail Attachment with a Suitable Program and Print the Document.
How can i change mail subject and body text?

Change Email Subject of Outgoing mails

Hello Folks,
I have a requirement wherein I need to add a text "[Test Mail]" in the email subject of all outgoing mails from our dev/test systems. This is to ensure that the end users who are the receipients are able to distinguish the emails sent out by the test system from the emails sent out by the actual production system.
Do let me know if anyone out here has developed something similar or can provide some advice/help into this matter.

We are mainly using CL_BCS as well as FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 in the system. The problem here is that there is no one fixed/common approach being followed. So I need to understand if there is a way by which I can access all the outgoing mails from the system and change the subject.
One option that I thought was to find out some enhancements or BADIs within CL_BCS and FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to manipulate the subject line before the mail is sent out. This would cover most of the cases where mails are sent out from the system, but I am not sure if the mails can be sent out by any other means as well.

Strange Problem: cannot save public report as a developer

HI all,
I've testing an application in apex.oracle.com.
Several days ago I started to have a strange problem with my application. I don't know what has been changed but I can't save the Interactive reports as a developer. The app doesn't display the button "apply" to save the changes, and in the design view of the report the "Save public report authorization" select list is greyed.
Is there anyone that knows where is this permission managed?

To choose an authorization scheme under "Save Public Report Authorization", you first must check the "Save Public Report" checkbox under "Include in Actions Menu".
Note that both the "Save Report" as well as the "Save Public Report" option work for authenitcated pages only.

Change mail subject and body

Hi all,
I configured a 'printer' in SPAD that is used to send email with pdf attachments with the smartforms / sapscritps that I developed.
Is there a way to change email subject and body instead of standard text "The Mail Attachment Contains the Print File Created by User" bla bla bla?
This is critical to me.

If you are already able to send the pdf attachment through mail using Function Modles 'CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF' &
SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 and the problem is with subject and Attachment name only then
in the SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 function Module
For Subject
EXPORTING

For Attachment Name

Declarations for the above two are

Password change fails in SQL Developer with verify function...

A couple of months ago I enforced a password verify function on our 11.2.0.3 databases and also one legacy 10.2.0.4 database.
At the time I tested on my account (which had elevated privileges...doh!).   Now some users are hitting expiry, they can't change it via SQL Developer.
If I create a user with 'create session' privilege and set their profile to one that uses the verify function (see both below), I then log in to SQL Developer (we have tried with versions 3.1 (Windows) and 3.2 (Linux) with same failure results.
BTW,.. the password verify function enforces the following:
password must be minimum of 8 characters
password must not be the same as the user name, or user name (1-100)
password must contain at least a single digit
password must contain at least a single character
1. Works = I log into the local server and run command line SQLPlus, type 'password' and update.   I can successfully change my password.
2. Fails = I log into the local server and run command line SQLPlus, type 'alter user <me> identified by <newpwd>;' I get:

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28221: REPLACE not specified
This error is because the account does not have the 'alter user' privilege.   I'm okay with this, as I don't want our users having this privilege.
3. I start SQL Developer 3.2, type 'alter user <me> identified by <newpwd>;' I get the same ORA-28221 error as above.   That is fine, and as expected.
4. Now in SQL Developer, I type 'password', set a valid password, but I get 'Failed to change password' in the Script Output tab.
I have a database 'after servererror on database' trigger set, and querying the database table it is logging into, I see a record with a date stamp matching my failure with a server_error=28221 (the same as above).
So I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong here, or if this is a bug in SQL Developer.   I don't want standard users having 'alter user' privileges, but I do want to enforce password verification.
I get the same result on three 11.2.0.3 databases (haven't tried any more but suspect same results for others) and one legacy 10.2.0.4 database, and using SQL Developer 3.1 and 3.2.

okay,... I just saw another website which shows I should put in the 'replace <oldpwd>' clause in.
This works in SQL Developer:     alter user sutemp identified by carport999 replace garage999;
So why does the 'password' command fail?     (Developers: it would also be helpful to have the ORA- error displayed as opposed to 'Failed to change password')

Create statspack report using sql*developer

Hello,
While connecting with PERFSTAT user I can not create statspack report using SQL*Developer:
@?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt
Error starting at line 1 in command:
@?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt
Error report:
Unable to open file: "?/rdbms/admin/awrrpt.sql"
Actually, my problem or question is that how can PERFSTAT user can generate statspack reports from a Client side. What is the other way a non-dba can see the snapshots histroy and generate report (by using perfstat user ) while joing tables or using views?

For statspack i don't know a solutuion. I think the best idea is, create a job to make the statspack report on the server side and access it via external tables or mail them forward to you.

According to your description, you want to change the display name of report in Report Manager. Right?
In Reporting Services, we can't make the report file name dynamically. But we have Build-in Fields to show report name and execution time in a report. We can add a textbox and put in the expression below:
="Load on- "+Globals!ReportName+" "+Globals!ExecutionTime
It will show the report name with execution time when we run the report:
